Ed pls do a Car story on the Koenigsegg CCXR that crashed and was rebuilt in South Africa so there were only 9 CCXR's made excluding the special editions there's pictures on Google of the car but not alot is known about it

@@austinthrowsstuff 3 laps in an exotic car (hurucan in my friends case) on a 2ish mile track was $400. A full day with a bunch of astons on snow and basically driving however doesn’t sound like it would be any less than at least a couple bands, minimum

Spinderella is the greatest nickname ever.
Also, there's a lake about 5 minutes from my house where, in the winter, people take all kinds of trucks, 4 wheelers, track cars etc. will go out on the ice and race around. Never seen anything exotic out there, that would be both incredibly extraordinary and incredibly foolish, given the nature of the event.
I live close to a large river, we have an event yearly where dirt bikes come out and race and do stunts on the ice. Never have any exotics come out either.
Anyone fell through?
@@Cornwall1888 Surprisingly, no. The event is well organized enough that it hasn't happened yet. This is such a sleepy town that it would definitely make the local news if it did.

Tried drifting my open diff Lexus out of a junction at about 30mph in pouring rain, I became spinderella very very quickly
Just keep at it, maybe not in an intersection next time lol, my 4 cylinder open diff mustang does great in the snow and rain

I lived part-time in the area where he did this stunt... Crested Butte, Colorado. I remember seeing these Aston Martins come rolling into town, years back. Now I know what happened.
'Trust your instincts' translates well to driving anything including a semi,if your about to do something and that lil voice in the back of your brain starts questioning what your going to do..DONT.
It includes ladders, dumb choices, cars, people, etc. Just trust those darn instincts and be safe.

Can’t believe they were upset with the fact a couple cars got injured, had to be expected throwing rear wheel drive cars out on ice. Who drives their Aston Martin out on ice anyway, I mean I would, but I love destroying expensive things. That’s what insurance is for.
Probably more mad about the bit where cars got damaged by the instructors after the event was over and they were supposed to be loading them up on the transporters.

@@joshbryant4629 that was me that stated that... lol... just saying that as I think back now, I can't remember if it was a manual or not. I think it was a Sportshift automated-manual and that I just got it wrong at the beginning of the video. The manual one I was thinking of was the yellow one from the previous year's event... I think! Getting old sucks, as my memory isn't as sharp as it's always been. Oh well, beats the alternative!

As far as being in touch with anything newer than 2013 model vehicles yeah not so much. I'm not much on automatics when it comes to sport cars. I've been trying to get into the whole slap shift vibe but I've been totally stuck on a manual gearbox from the time I was 8 when my mom taught me in 1992. Ive had more vehicles to even try to count them all in my head but I can honestly say that the majority of them were stick shifts. They are just to much fun to not have. I never could understand why some people build a badass restomod and then take half of the fun out of driving it by putting an automatic in it. Idk lol. Anyway I would absolutely love to do what you do. I know that you have an absolute blast. Have a great covid Thanksgiving!
