I just took a test and learned that I am an ENFP. It made me understand a lot of my problems and weird stuff about me like binge-watching a series for several weeks and then one day not being interested in it at all. I have probably like 50 unfinished series because I found another series I found more interesting. I've also been very frustrated because a lot of things seem kind of interesting but not interesting enough for me to put too much time in it. I'm in the age that I should apply for some kind of school (university or other), but I have no idea of what I want to do.

This video just made me realize why I’ve been struggling so much with my own business! I make jewelry and sell on online platforms (Etsy, etc.) plus I do Saturday market/art shows during the Summer... the biz became very successful/busy when I started offering “made to order” designs in my online shop (so the customer pays first, then I have a 7-10 window to finish & ship their shinies) but that is around the same time I started to burn out... having to make the same designs over & over is awful. And I’m so busy making those I don’t get much time anymore for my “creative frenzy mode” - I’ve been wanting to eliminate the made to order stuff for awhile, but they provide 50% of my income right now...you just gave me the idea of doing a monthly subscription (or like an “earrings of the month” thing) - that way I could still be creative!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 finding a ton of useful tips on this channel!!

I would also say that ENFPs are the most flexible in terms of money and standard of living. I used to switch between earning a lot and earning almost nothing and still be able to live from that, while most of my friends struggle a lot when they had to change their standards of living. I guess we got this superpower instead of saving :p

I can definitely relate to this. I get paid 3 times a year in my business and my budgeting is not good, I’ve never thought about setting it up to get paid monthly instead but that makes complete sense, oh god why have I never thought of this before! Dan what would I do without you ☺️

As you asked to share in the comments, I disagree with that ISTJ comment. I don't budget for food, but I certainly invest around 10-15% in pension and stocks/shares to prepare for the future. This probably stems from finance being one of my "ENFP hobbies" (dilettante, but know more than most, ENFPs know what I mean) - but as well as that, I'm so future-focused, another classic ENFP trait, as well as a worrier - these all contribute to wanting to invest, and being afraid of still having to work when I'm 70. Being raised by an INFJ I might have gotten some more sensible financial practices than usual. My huge weakness in terms of finance probably stems from the shadow Si - I have a compulsive attraction to luxury/high quality products.

You sounded just like my ISTJ husband! Yes, I'm an ENFP married to an ISTJ! We make it work by taking time to understand each other. After 18yrs together we have finally managed to work it out :)

Any tips for everyone? Aside from marrying an ISTJ and having them manage the money...which is actually a great strategy as well!

We've always kept our finances separate - we have joint accounts for bills/food/house & savings, which we both pay set amounts into each month. Then the money left over in our own accounts are for our own personal use. As an ENFP I have the needed STRUCTURE of the set amount each month already set up and automatic AND the feeling of freedom with what's left. My ISTJ husband has the organisation and knowledge that all is well with paying everything on time. It runs like clockwork. It's a shame the same can't be said for housework - we're still working on that one!

    • @enfp

Ha! Well, I look forward to hearing your ideas when you figure that last one out. The accounts setup sounds really smart and a great way to do things.

Attaining a monthly stable and consistent income is definitely desirable. It’s been my biggest struggle outside of working jobs. My last job was Chief Marketing officer for a software development company but I didn’t like the micromanagement that was happening in that culture. Being an entrepreneur is my desired route with the right people and I am exploring my next career “configuration”.

heard that! I had a sick role in a company that I joined 6 years ago but with further expansion I felt gross and didn't align w the new internal culture. So I left. No plan either. Just faith I have what it takes--- because we do have the receipts to show and the wisdom.

I would say understand & act on the natural strengths & weaknesses based on the cognitive functions of your personal personality type.
For ENFPs, definitely guard against our inferior cognitive function, Si (introverted sensing), which is our least developed function that we use in order to process information/make decisions.
An example of this is remembering previously stored information like a savings goal.
Something that helps me is putting my savings goal in 6 high traffic areas of my daily life (computer, wallet, etc)

    • @enfp

That's great advice! When I have some kind of medication I need to take, I'll scatter it around my apartment as a reminder...I'm told this is messy...but I say a genius system!

And aside from the financial information, having a nice shirt like that helps too. I'm also right brained as well as an ENFP.. Still trying to find a place where I can have access to a commercial/professional baking stove..home cooked/baked items not sellable in my State..

  • @NicolePhillips09
    @NicolePhillips09 5 лет назад +2

    Love this!
Each month I send money out of my account into an account that is really difficult to access! (Before I decide to buy something new and shiny) I also save money from gigs that I do or when I sell things I don't want anymore... instead when I have a new idea.. I can use that money to either try my idea (If I know it's good enough, the effort of getting the money won't put me off) or if I need time off from a job I don't enjoy or to travel. I'm hoping eventually one of my ideas will pay off and I can stay focused long enough! >_

I just recently realized that I'm an ENFP. Been doing business for quite some time now and always frustrated with how unpredictable I can be, like jumping from a different kind of business to another. How can you stay focused and passionate about something that doesn't give results let's say a month or two?
As well as for marketing, it's so hard to be disciplined on doing regular posts (blogs, videos, social media, blogs) >.

Hi Anthony, I am an ENFP too and can understand your situation. In the field of typology (Jungian theory specifically) I have found that developing your second cognitive function, Fi in the case for ENFPs, will help bring direction to which cause you want to champion as an ENFP. In this way, it will help decrease the propensity of diversification and give you more clarity on your passions you hold most closely to go after in your professional life. Please remember that you mustn't include ALL of your passions within a career setting. However, I know the importance of wanting to make a difference with your ENFP talents. If you would like to chat about it, let me know.

I really lived like I had more money then I really had. Also now I'm the one that's saying we can only spend blank amount of money till whatever date lol
