@@PhantomKLA1 does it look worse? yes. it is literally inferior hardware on paper. however, the one thing dreamcast had over the ps2 was the ease of porting because of windows ce integration. it allowed developers to port and test much more easily, and is what i assume to be helping make this development process go much smoother than it would otherwise. but nobody is saying the dreamcast is better in terms of power metrics. i dont think anybody has ever said that. dont worry, your ps2 is safe. 🙄
While I agree the PS2 version has a unique atmosphere, I think this will also have one of its own. I miss the days when there was real consumer choice in gaming, where each console had a personality of its own.

The Xbox One at least used to feel as refined as the original 360 Kinect dashboard during launch before they started tweaking the user interface all over the place and unified the design language across their newest range of Series consoles either which way.
@@lapielazoolie I only used the One a single time around 2017/2018 and the user interface and games menu felt exactly the same as the ones from PS4, even the Switch menu is very similar to those, unlike the previous generation especially the blades dashboard from the 360 in comparison with the xross media bar and the wii chanels, three completely different experiences and the three of them very authentic.

Now it feels they’ve just added paid advertisements all in the way blocking where exactly you want to access, makes sense on Microsoft’s part after seeing the direction of Windows during the same time with all its telemetry.
I really love the look of this game on this console. Funny how watching GTA3 played on Dreamcast is exactly that. It's like a viewing a memory of a dream of playing this game over twenty years ago.
Gamecube would be killing 2 birds with one stone since even a "non-backwards compatible" wii can run Gamecube on Nintendon't and give better controller options (i.e. both classic controller and og Gamecube controller)

Half of the textures are not loaded, detto mipmaps, light maps, no dynamic lighting, etc. etc. etc. etc. Framerate will continue to deteriorate and graphics will get significantly worse compared to PS2 if they want to maintain at least 15-20fps.

I agree, last consoles with some identity were the PS3 and Xbox 360 and even then, they were pretty generic in some aspects.
