I've worked with high end watches for 12 years and you cannot tell if it's original unless you open it and closely examine the movement. It's 10000% impossible to say that it's all good without looking inside. Impossible.
They run through all the items before the show. All items are usually actually bought/sold, but heavily vetted to become 'screen ready', this includes many of the negotiation scenes, as well.

Antique doesn’t necessarily mean rare, and rare doesn’t necessarily mean valuable. You could have a 1700s watch that’s a limited run of 10, but if they’re ugly as sin and nobody wants them then they’re not very valuable despite being antique and rare.

It's often true that antique or rare doesn't equal value, but as a general statement it's far more likely that antique and rare does equal value. But value can be $50 or $5m. Standard pocket watches from the 1800s aren't worth a fortune because they were produced in the millions and are not in any way rare.

@7 in fact there is an antenna device that can send video signal to the watch receiver. You plug in a source (like your laptop on RUclips) into that antenna device, with the help of a simple rca video+audio cable and then set the watch receiver to that device's frequency. I let you search for that device on the web. It's more expensive than the ripping off value the shop has paid for the set... But we have to keep in mind that the deal was made 10 years ago tho...
