This is the only tutorial I could find that's simply about the layout. All others have the cards face up and either pretend to do a reading and interpret the cards while explaining the Celtic Cross layout, or are doing a reading simultaneously....Which is too much information!! Thank you for breaking it down in this accessible and clear video.
I’ve seen many sources say reversed cards are blocked energy, some even just ignore them. I very much like the “how can I turn this upright” approach, it gives a subtle complexity to any reading that can help with meditation and self-reflection. Thanks!
Wow. I'm really impressed by this video. I like the idea with reversing one of the cards (and eventually more cards). I've been doing Tarot cards for a year, and this video was really helpful to me. There are so many crap books and videos out there. Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much for this explanation! 🙏 I had recently purchased a “beginner’s tarot” type book, and read about the Celtic cross, went ahead and tried one on myself, but something seemed off. Now watching this, I realize the #4 & #5 cards have their places switched. So instead of going #3 Above, #4 below and then #5 to the left, it said to do #3 above, #4 to the left, and #5 below... which isn’t making a “cross”, it’s making a circle. 😂 So Thank you for helping me figure that out! Now I’ll always remember! 💖💖
very clear explanation..I never extend more than 6 month with the CELTIC CROSS.The near future for me is a month and ahalf..speaking of timming..THANKS SO MUCH.
thank you so much! I'll be giving myself a tarot next week so i have been watching tutorials on how to read tarot cards and this one is the best i've seen so far! Thanks a lot!
As other have said very nicely explained and a lot of good points re mental health issues too. So relavant in these modern times o trauma, anxieties, with drawiing etc etc. I so hope this lady is still helping others in the 7 years since this was posted!!!
Talking of uprighting a reverse card, Paul-Fenton-Smith had a great solution and one that really works! I f a card is reversed then the lesson of the previous card has not been learned or, carried out, meaning they have to go back to learn that lesson. An example: reverse ace, you need to go back to the ten and put that lesson right. Regards-John.
I am sooo greatful for you teaching me this i have always wanted to learn the 10 spread but there so many different and confusing ways but you made it simple and easy. I wish you you so much prosperity and abundance and Great health and Great Wealth for Eternity. Thank you , thank you and thank you always. Xoxo Muah!!
This is my favourite version I have to say. And I love how you know how to pronounce the word. Drives me nuts when people call it the Seltic cross 😢 Fab tutorial thanks 😟🍀💖💖💖
Interesting technique having the querent (or you) pick card from a fanned spread and assign a number 1-10 as the card presents from the pick. I am very ritual to handle the cards exactly from the querent's shuffle to ensure personalized impact. Your technique allows for my superstitions to remain true to the ritual in this example. Thank you for the additional tool!
I got lost on the reverse card part...a example on the video would have nailed it but i will get a clearer understanding threw my journey,Thanks for the video👍
Sorry for the noobish question: Is it significant if six out of ten cards are major arcana? My personal love and work reading (the two are entwined) for the month of June: Card 1: Queen of Pentacles Card 2: The Empress Card 3: The World Card 4: The Hanged Man Card 5: King of Pentacles Card 6: Judgement Card 7: Justice Card 8: Three of Pentacles Card 9: Three of Cups Card 10: Temperance *I am Libra Ascendant, Gemini Sun and Scorpio Moon
also, when I do my readings the 7 position is a designated fears are apprehensions position, and the 9 is a designated hopes position. if a negatively aspected card appears in the 9 position, do to the relationship I have with my cards, I know this is trying to convey send negative aspect I'm trying to work through and/ or eliminate from my life all together
I hope somebody can answer me The cards shall be placed in front of the reader or of the one asking for the read? I want to read them In both normal and inverted and this is making me wonder a lot :s
interesting video, this is not exactly how I learned how ever it is similar. for example, I do not acknowledge reversed cards... I feel once you get to know your deck personally they will communicate with you based on the way you are comfortable with reading them. without acknowledging reversed, I still get very clear and thorough readings
hey ... very nice n sorted video.. I have a question that I have got knight of swards as a third card. I actually can't relate it. if u don't mind can you please help me n describe this?
Why to call it the traditional name, if the sequence is changed/modified? Call it f.e. Celtic Cross a' la "your name". But not just Celtic Cross as it misleads
I love to ask for reverse card does it means slowing down of that card energy or it is inverse. And let say reverse card on bad card like 9swords or devil does it necessary means good
A bit 'babbly' .. and weighted with bullshit in many way but at least some respect is given to the true, ancient and traditional meaning of some cards. That fact alone makes the article worthy of some merit, standing far above some of the unsubstantiated, 'fairy tale' dross that currently passes for Tarot reading.
I am a rom (gypsy) I am 45 I was taught to read at age of 12. You ideas about time frame is wrong. I disagree about your placement position names and how you read them. Where is you significator card? You reverse card theory is crazy, the spirits are trying to speak certain message. Be honest with your clients don't fill the heads with new age fluff. You spoke nothing card relationship with the others.
This could have been a much richer and enjoyable vignette if she would have used real cards in an example-type format. A detailed explanation of the layout in a Celtic Cross is available in the back of any book. The author has a pretty voice and her tempo is pleasant, but there's no meat to this presentation. Zzzzzzzzzz.......
10 years later and still this video is so informative and helpful! Thank you 🙏

100% accurate! Other videos have cards & not even showing you the steps so you can get an idea how to start to finish!
Nicely done and very informative. You can tell you know the cards well! From one reader to another have fun on your Tarot journey!
Best - Vincent

Very nicely explained, thank you. Your voice is lovely - I've subscribed to watch your other videos :)
I've been studying numerology readings and discovered an awesome resource at Numerology Secret Blueprint (check it out on google)
I lay them out in a slightly different order, but this is a great synopsis of the position meaning.
I love the way you explain everything! Thank you
what a lovely beautiful voice you have :)
thanks a lot you are so professional
1/21 💙 That’s my birthday ! How divinely lead! Thank you!!

Very good! Thanks for explaining this layout. It is my favorite.
This is the best video on this topic that I’ve found. Thank you!
Cool. The other videos I've watched try to do readings simultaneously. Thank you, I needed to learn the layout and what each position represents.
sorry for the use of some incorrect words, posting on RUclips from a phone can be a little challenging lol...
Thank you for explaining! I found it clear and straight to the point.

Great explanation!
Ur voice is soothing 😍

Explained so well in a flowy language
I hope somebody can answer me

Every time I see this spread explained somewhere it's different.
Can this spread be done with oracle cards? I have 2 decks, but one of them is an angel oracle deck, the other is a "regular" oracle deck.
I love to ask for reverse card does it means slowing down of that card energy or it is inverse.
And let say reverse card on bad card like 9swords or devil does it necessary means good
Great explanation
Thank You for this 🥰

wow this video's 5 years old lol .

Michael Winemiller yes plz I was taught different As well....
That's her method. She prefers it that way. And it's just as valid and useful as any other ways of tarot reading.
Michael Winemiller Hi can you read for me?
Her significator its the first card she laid which is what i've been taught.
Everyone reads for themselves and their guides relate the messages unique to the individual reader
10:28 this video was so boring to make and watch that she even yawned
