I have a 2017. My front bumper does not have a towing eye cover. What should I do to get it off?
I believe its just a case of prising the plastic tabs with the plastic trim tool and a few hard pulls to get it out, the same but without the benefit of being able to start at the towing eye
My 2015 Ford focus SE has the plastic retaining clips on the bottom but the bit at the end near the wheel well seen at 2:27 looks to be some type of hex bolt instead.
Mine as well I have the same car as you. And when I took the hex bolt out and put the new bottom grill on. The hex bolt doesn’t wanna go inside the new one. Not sure how it was even in there. I think mine was a U nut

Do the 8 clips on the bottom unscrew to be removed? I broke one off trying to remove it by prying it like a normal clip
Is the process of removing the grill on the mk4 much different than this?

Do you have video of how to remove the plastic lower part on the rear spoiler aswell? I'm gonna paint it same color as the car instead of black plastic
AlfaPower no not yet but you can do it one of two ways, 1, remove the whole bumper and unclip the plastic tags from behind (its got the same sort of tags that hold these grills in) or 2, get a plastic trim tool and wedge it between the trim and bumper from the front with bumper still attached where the tags are and unclip them that way
ALL THINGS JIM Okey thanks. You saved me a lot of hassle on front bumper. I thought I needed to remove whole bumper to remove the lower grill. I will test it tomorrow or this weekend. Then I will try the rear bumper and last side skirts.
This is very helpful, but what was shown at 3:47? Also, dow did the bottom grill go back on?
Thats just showing me fitting the bottom grill, just push it all in so the tabs click in place and refit any clips/ screws you took out to remove it 👍

Anyone know if the standard and ST - style grills are interchangeable?
They are not
they are not interchangeable but there are st style honeycomb grilles made for the sel/se

Hi, the ford fusion was discontinued in 2012 and replaced with the b-max is that what car you mean? If so yes it will be a case of pulling it out without removing the bumper

I just got one on ebay for $47! It is the honeycomb version with gloss black instead of chrome around it.
This is only for 2015 and above. Not 2011 to 2017

Would removing the grill be the same process as the video?
It looks the same and it also has the tow eye cover like the car in this video as well.
Good video except the time spent showing each method.waiting for next clip is too long.
