Red Alert is a good friend of mine. He’s always showed me love for being a blind DJ and me being the age that I am and knowledgeable of the music from back in the day.
Seeing Red makes me smile. So many good memories. I got to see him live just about 2 years ago in Roch, NY.

Legend ... Red Alert made the weekend. I am glad I was able to hear his shows live. Having one of those taped shows on you when you went out of town was like having a piece of Gold in your pocket. Salute!

🚨Legendary!I can listen to those stories from our era all day long. I caught that tour when it had Stetsasonic , Rakim & Jungle Brothers on it . Both Stet & the JB’s implemented dancehall beats into their sets. I remember Red Alert on stage with his Jimbroskii glasses with the “rubber” nose.😂💪🏽✊🏽

It pissed me off when I hear people like Clinton Sparks try to erase history and claim, except for Funk Flex bomb drops, Sparks was the first dj to add sound effects while playing music and doing producer id tag name drops. 20:57....."What are we gonna do" Ultimate 3 MCs on Party Time records..I still have that single......the lyrics were so so , but that " Ultimate, ultimate":was strong. I'm only half way through listening, but ppl don't realize if we were in a different time and if Red Alert, KRS, and Shan were of a different mindset we would've had some some casualties WAYYYYY before Biggie and Tupac. Mr. Magic was an antagonist and his nasty name calling ( Duck Alert) and his mouth could've ended this genre very early. Thank God all three are still around and respectful to each other. Kenny your guests just keep getting better and better. No offense to anyone, but you gotta get these elder statesman of hip hop to tell these stories to let all know about the foundation. Tomorrow is not promised and these stories must be told. Peace to Red Alert. Ironically I was listening to " TR808 IS COMING" ( THE ORIGINAL PROMO) yesterday.

If it wasn’t for Red Alert PSK would’ve been just a Philly classic. There’s certain songs that are exclusive Philly songs that NY and other cities never heard of and I can honestly say PSK is a worldwide classic because Red Alert showed that record love because it was dope. I respect his DJ principles.
