This is my favorite pack when I go hiking mountains. Gossamer frame is super rigid for heavy loading but also flexible. I have purchased 7 backpacks from Eberlestock for years and still hold up great. Just can't go wrong with their gears.

Of the 3 Eberlestock packs that I have, your Halftrack is my favorite go-to pack!
I generally carry about 30 pounds in it, so its good to know that I have about 1040 pounds leeway!! 😉
Keep up the great work guys!!

That's awesome to hear! You should be safe, just don't hit the gym too much and you can stay away from that 1070lb mark.

What part of the weight is distributed on the waist belt? It looks like the frame of the backpack quickly bent and the load was transferred to the shoulder straps.

The hipbelt wasn't able to grip the mannequin because of its horizontal design. On a person, the hipbelt would support most of the weight. This just added to how much weight was on the shoulder straps to test durability!
