  • We continue our Weight Test Series with the Mainframe. It's no surprise that the Mainframe is a tough pack, but we wanted to know really how tough it is.
    Be sure to check out our Weight Test Series playlist where you can watch us test more of our packs to the limit.

    Incredible demonstration!! I've used various Eberlestock packs for years! I think one thing you're forgetting to mention is the WEIGHT of the pack itself, which is incredibly light compared to "other" packs that claim the same durability/construction. For the pack weight to carrying ratio, NOTHING beats your packs in my opinion!

      We would agree. You can use the frame as a daypack still and be ready to haul meat right away!

    I think everyone knows that eberlestock makes a great pack. Although most of them do not have tall enough adjustable load lifters. Adjustable load lifters are necessary for carrying heavy weight in a pack so one can tune the pack for comfort and stability. If the gunslinger had tall vertical adjustable load lifters it will be even better than it is. I do appreciate Eberlestock and I do use and own their products. I just wish they would incorporate better load lifters. Thank you for the informative content!!

      We will certainly pass along the feedback. It sounds like you would like our Tall version F1 mainframe for its higher up load lifters!

    would love to see dynamic load-bearing videos not just static (as these packs are meant to be stationary), but these are still interesting

      @Eberlestock  Год назад +1

      Maybe something in the future! The static isn't exact by any means as we address in the first video, but it does help test our stitching and smaller components. Even taking 1/8 of the static weight, our smallest pack will endure over 100lbs. Also, it's meant for a little fun.

    What's the point if you can't carry 50lbs comfortably though?

    • @Eberlestock
      @Eberlestock  10 месяцев назад

      You can carry quite a bit more than 50lb comfortably! Many find it the easiest and most comfortable pack for hauling extra heavy loads in the 80lbs + range!

    Im looking for a pack to carry a long prs bolt action rifle with a large scope and bipod on it the rifle is 48 inches long and the height from bottom of the mag well to top of the scope is probably 8 to 10 inches tall would this setup work with the batwings? Im haveing trouble finding a pack to carry this rifle on my back without spending 1k on a dedicated military sniper pack.

    ok I believe you stop before you slip a disc or something! But weight isn't my problem, er? well I mean it is MY weight that is the problem. I am 6'3 350lbs and I haven't found a camera backpack that the straps and waist belt that even came close to fitting me. I went to my local Army - Navy store looking for a way to modify the latest disappointment (from Endurax). I was thinking about a frame like hiking backpacks have. They had an ALICE frame {by Fox} that yea the frame might be something that could work but I refused to buy it because again, the straps and waist were too short and made out of the cheapest crap that China could provide. any suggestions for a large American?

      We make long padded hip belts and shoulder harnesses to swap out on most of our packs! Including this Mainframe. We also make a Tall version in the Mainframe!
