The Batwings that takes you to Anor Londo, and Batwings enemies are diffirient creatures - the enemies are called "lesser batwing demons", that was noted in Demon Spear item description
@@noop9k sometimes in the stupidest ways, had Thorn Knight Kirk encounter in demon ruins and I turned around and ran towards him dude just rolled off the edge, got the souls but lost the drop, luckily got the shield on the first encounter and the sword on the last one but I could have really used that humanity.
Well he must’ve heard it. Either that or, in the Kalameet cutscene, he was able to pinpoint exactly where Kalameet was in the sky by feeling the irregularity in the wind caused by his wings, so maybe he figured Kalameet had been destroyed or chased away by the fact that the wind is blowing past him uninterrupted.
The thing with the rins respawning in the chest shocked me so hard. I was wondering what is that chest for a really long time. Now it's time to solve empty chest behind Gwyndolin problem
The Firelink Chest is for any lost "Quest" item that you happen to lose. The Lordvessel, Lord Souls, Broken Pendant... any required item to progress in the game, if you lose it, will spawn in that chest.
number 9 is actually quite easy to explain. we see the batwing demons fly from a standing position and when they run, but when they're falling off, they may have too much speed and momentum for their skinny bat wings to let them fly.
Alternate explanation, from outside the game: This game doesn't have any flying enemies. That is, there are no free-flying enemies in the game comparable to free-walking enemies. The crow women in the painted world are just doing jumps, they never freely fly around, and the moonlight butterflies appear to have some pretty strict, scripted paths through the air that they stick to. Compare to, say, the hollows in the undead burg, or those nasty fang dudes in blight town. You can run and jump and kick them off ledges and they'll track you down like ten minutes later because they have some SERIOUS pathing going on. I'd suggest that the real-world reason is that the game's pathing systems do not handle aerial movement well, only ground-based navigation, which is VERY common in video games. I know this is a bad explanation because it's not in the game's fiction, but the probable reality is that monsters in this game only "fly" when it's scripted.
but they're not scripted because they don't just fly in the same patterns in the same places, they'll follow you anywhere at any height, no matter where you are in lower blighttown.
rugbyfan0025 Hey you know, I did forget about those. You're right, they do fly. They have no pathing - they fly straight at the player, ignoring ceilings and floors. And batwing demons would look weird flying that way. As I said, the game's pathing systems don't seem geared to handle aerial movement. I still maintain it's just not set up for it, and technical/gameplay reasons are the explanation.
+Andy Hughes you have to beat the kalameet dragon`s giant lord, if you beat it, you will obtain a key, that will lead you to an ancient sword, called ``asylum assassin!`` you will be able to kill only the asylum demon, but HK

When Gough hits Kalameet with his bow, it lands in the arena that you normally fight it in because of an injured wing. When the player hits it, it tries to fly away, and presumably crashes into the abyss, for the same reason.
Did u know that since Gough is blind and depends on sound to detect his enemies, u can use the slumbering dragon crest ring or the hush sorcery and he won't be able to hit u because he won't know where u are
I'm pretty sure it is. I actually already encountered that one myself. I had got invaded down there and the invader was standing next to Quelana for protection while chucking pyro at me, and I managed to get around him for a backstab and this happened. I could never figure out how I'd done it before watching this video.
More informative than so many other "didn't know" videos. Especially like that these facts were more tips than random snippets. New to Dark Souls, and late to the party, so forgive my noob questions that are to follow. 1.) Does poise affect blocking also or just the recoil the player takes from hits? 2.) Does higher dexterity allow for quicker heavy weapons? 3.) What all does humanity do exactly? Besides reverse hollowing and used for kindling, of course. (not that noob)
You can use humanity to become human, kindle bonfires, increase your loyalty to the darkwraithe covenant, and you can use it to heal, both in your own world, and in another player's world. For the poise, I don't think it affects anything other than how far you stumble back when hit, it does protect you from being stun locked if it is high enough too though, and for the question about the dexterity affecting how fast you swing a weapon, I think it does, but I'm not sure.
Thank you for the information. I have seen something about humanity points increasing weapon damage but can't seem to find a guide explaining it. Apparently the cap is at 10 humanity, but again, it's just what I've overheard on videos.

Nick Carbaugh lmao. my point was the Gaping Dragon is easy, makes the fight more interesting when you have to watch for soul arrows and generally do more damage to kill it. that's all and don't get me wrong, there are bosses who's fights are almost broken unless you're pro or use a trick to win more easily (ceaseless discharge, I'm looking at you) I just don't think the gaping dragon is one of them :)
I ran into the channeler first by accident, killed him, and it just became the routine. Gaping dragon killed me a few times at first, I did not find him instantly as easy as others, but I may not have leveled or geared up as much.
IIRC, the coffin animation in Blighttown happens because that location is exactly located where the Gravelord Servant coffin is in the Catacombs. I don't know if It's below or above it, but it is directly below or above it.
I think it's because ordinarily, getting down to a good enough position to be able to take him out, with that weapon especially, is in itself an achievement. It also denies you access to his tail weapon. 60000 souls and an extra dialogue line is hardly a major boost for an end-game boss.
If the Depths Channeler is willing to buff the Gaping Dragon, then I take it that Seath has an alliance with him on account of both him and the Gaping Dragon basically being complete freaks
I wouldnt be suprised if Seath is actually kkeping that dragon imprisoned in the depths so he can harvest him for scales or something. Probably not the real scales dragonshad but degenerate lesser version but one can make experiments with that i imagine...

only like three and theres a few in Vaati's series that are really easy for any prominent dark souls player, except Vaati always has one or two that are nearly hard to find out
the first thing...not only covenant of artorias and orange charred but also the cat covenant. I found this out by feeding the kingseeker serpent (I forgot his name) the cat covenant ring
Yeah. I can definitely see how using Gough's should be able to take him down. I would expect him to crash down, after which you would be able to fight him. However, he flies off and kind of.. Leaves the stage via the backstage exit. Sure, it's fun that you can basically cheese him like that. It's just kind of... Out of the ordinary! But I suppose the same goes with cheesing Ceaseless.

How are these "Mysteries" a Mystery would be "What happened to the Stone Blacksmith!" or "What did the Firekeeper do that was so bad to cut out her tongue"
+TwitchXk90 - stone blacksmiths are just a way to say to the player "here is an ember!", like with the female corpses holding key items -the firekeeper come from a way of white territory, so being half undead (firekeepers have humanity blood andare created by the way of white) is probably why she got tortured or wathever by the population happened to her, but she did trust way of white's lies even in her condition
@@RedstoNeman0 No. The fair lady need the humanities to make the eggs grow, she even states that without the humanities, the eggs are dying, it's more an indication on how the chaos flame feeds on humanities.
Sure. Of course variables can and will clash. However, for them to clash they have to be defined (in other words, they have to exist) and secondly there must be methods which address and alter the variables. That's when I call something programmed. For instance, if variables aren't defined and methods addressing these variables don't exist, they cannot possibly magically cause glitches. Glitches can only exist if they involve variables and methods. Not non-existing code. I hope you understand :)

I know this is an old video already, but I knew all of them even when Dark Souls 1 is still the thing, except for the new attack of the Gaping Dragon. Still a great video though, nice
Don't know if it's already been said, but all quest-specific items respawn in that chest behind Frampt.
wow, i give me thanks for been an complete explorer before getting into new zones...
only like three and theres a few in Vaati's series that are really easy for any prominent dark souls player, except Vaati always has one or two that are nearly hard to find out
i always wondered "why is that chest pre open" never knew the charred ring or the artorias ring spawns when lost :P
the first thing...not only covenant of artorias and orange charred but also the cat covenant. I found this out by feeding the kingseeker serpent (I forgot his name) the cat covenant ring
Wow, Gough sounds really sad that he didn't get to help you kill Kalameet.
ive spent over 2600 hours into dark souls and only knew about 7 of em good job
Did not know about the prekilling of kalameet. very cool!
But I suppose the same goes with cheesing Ceaseless.
i didn't know must of them
great job man subscribed ^^
There was only one I didn't know.
You disappoint me.
I knew all of them lol
+Darqfalls nigga if you are on ng+100 and at level 700+ maybe you shouldnt be watching videos where people teach oterh people about stuff go make a video yourself about things people might not know
silentash94 haha. Right?
Didn't know the last two ones. I believe that the forest hunter's covenant ring can also be found back at the Firelink Shrine's chest if you drop it.
That is one of several cage elevators you can open and step into in Sen's Fortress. They're actually very handy for getting around. I didn't know about it until NG+, myself. :)
I dunno about “several”.
I wanna cry now that there is no remaster :(
Imode Killz Yes there is.
@@DavidVas0032 Might as well not be, it's total garbage.
That last one was really interesting.
How are these "Mysteries" a Mystery would be "What happened to the Stone Blacksmith!" or "What did the Firekeeper do that was so bad to cut out her tongue"
+TwitchXk90 - stone blacksmiths are just a way to say to the player "here is an ember!", like with the female corpses holding key items
-the firekeeper come from a way of white territory, so being half undead (firekeepers have humanity blood andare created by the way of white) is probably why she got tortured or wathever by the population happened to her, but she did trust way of white's lies even in her condition
+Iyadcqnsdqsl'o Ai² humanity blood and created by the way of white. . .or you trolling or are there some item descriptions that talk about this
sigurdr
firekeeper souls, quelaag sister's one even say because her body his ot human she needs to stock her humanities in her eggs.
sigurdr
but after ds3 I don't know anymore what's real and fake about way of white...
Number 7 is (obviously) a glitch. That stab animation is rarely seen, because its use is for stabbing Gravelord Servants while they're in the coffin.
i thought those hovering glowing rings was a glitch! lol
knew all of them except for the weird for the weird coffin backstab in blighttown
Very intrigued by how Gough would say "Blessings of lord Gwyn upon thee" when in all other scenarios he'd tell the chosen undead to lead his life as he sees fit
I was expecting the centipede demon to pop out of where you dropped the orange charred ring
i had no idea that kalameet could be killed that way, new speed run technique! ahoy!
to me the hole game is a big mystery...nice vid.
