True, however, the MSRP on that 50 Z is about $600 plus tax and not always available used. this lens new is that lens used? plus you never know what you get with used gear. That said, I always buy used gear and I've had good luck. Some people only buy new. ALso Viltrox uded. mid 200's for this lens. But you have a point, nothing beats the Z Nikon's.,
The review was good, the voice no problem...but the music and video at end was a killer! I was having flashbacks to my youth listening to Hotel California. ROCK the Heck On!!!! Feel better soon V. - Jim
maybe, but I hardly use the Z9 audio for any kind of serious video. I use it to track the audio for auto sync but nothing out and about, The iphone is also hit and miss.
Viltrox is really on the correct path in all mounting! i am using many Viltrox lenses and simply happy by its price, style, and result...
I’m not sure why Viltrox would make this lens. You can get used 50mm Z lens for $350 all over the net, and the Nikon is amazing.

@@techheadcentral5472 Sorry to hear that. FredMiranda "Buy-Sell" forums always has the Z 50mm for $350-$400.
Right, so where do you find the 50mm f1.8 S lenses for $350?
The Viltrox looks great, great rendition.

Thx for the review super helpful
This is a valuable and helpful review. What does the Viltrox weigh vs. the Nikon Z 50? Thank you.
A little lighter but not by much because the 1.8 50 is already light. but yes the viltrox is lighter.
Wish to get a secondhand Z 6 recently.
Great camera. Best bang for the buck. Don't listen to the Z6 haters out there. btew this camera is made in JAPAN.
@@Vahagraphy Wow,sounds a truly good choice.
Imagine if Viltrox starts adding VR on their lenses and still be on competitive price.
wow great lens for the price. I love your smoke generator
This Viltrox 50mm not to shabby I must say. Hey it AF's hehe 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I noticed the sound quality of the recordings are much better with the Iphone than the Z9
