- I've been playing Asphalt 9 for a long time, but still, and up to this day, I think there are a few things you should never do and that I do, for a plethora of reasons so I thought it could be nice to pack them up in a kind-of Asphalt 9 beginners guide, just that this time it's about things you should never do in this racing game. At the end of the day, you can kinda take it as a tips and tricks guide for asphalt 9 but of things you should not do in order to progress faster and basically get more tokens, credits, and obtain better cars in the long run. I really hope you all enjoy this video! :D

I totally agree with all points, including the first one 😅 its so annoying to be at the end of the race in 1st place then a c class ferrari evo knocks you down. Also, since i was already an A8 veteran, i decided to play A9 without touchdrive from the start.
A new viewer here and a level 15 garage player in Asphalt 9.
Upgrading your favourite cars is the most important point in the video, I've fully upgraded all of my favourite C class cars that include the Acura 2017 NSX ,H2 ,Dodge viper and even the rezvani beast because i had the epics for them.
That being said if you ever win your starway car, its generally better to save credits for them because these cars will help you greatly in MP and events , currently i own huracan and onyx and i already got my Huracan to 3 star upgrades and i am saving up so that i can get it 4 star and so on.
It's not about favorites, it's about upgrading the most useful ones

As a beginner i'd always buy a random card pack as soon as i had 75 tokens. It helped somewhat in the beginning to get bps of cars like acura, dodge viper acr, vulcan and other low end usable cars. But in current time there are better things to spend tokens on for better rewards like BOS event.

These things you listed are probably the best ways to get newer players to enjoy the game and keeping it simple. And yes, converting tokens to credits is probably something that is questionable and never use perfect nitro in the air. Use either orange or shockwave for maximum beans.

Nah, he's already right, upgrade with the cars you always want to use, for the level you still can get from unlock or star up cars (even you don't have keys), im even probably have more than 6 car with max stars and it's stock, some of them only have small upgrade for completing daily task, now i have 96 cars in garage level 17
Another problem with newcomers is that most of them try to save up shockwave for every single ramp (Including me), which they should never do. They should also use orange nitro for boost, and learn proper nitro management . This will allow a way for better lap times. Nice vid btw

I have been playing this game for a year. I started playing it with manual. And I was so good with this. But then I saw some people using touchdrive. I thought as it's a game feature let's just try it and see how it feels like. And it was a bit hard to control at first. But then I get used to it and I can't drive without it. I make so many disaster without touchdrive. But I'm trying to learn it again. I did some career races without touchdrive and the result aren't terrible. But I'm not ready yet to drive without touchdrive in mp or events. In my opinion touchdrive is horrible but I still use it. I just can't drive without it. I think it's bcs I use keyboard. So it will be helpful if you made a video on how to drive like a pro with manual using keyboard. And for the other tips, they really helped me a lot.

@@CarsOnGaming Hey, one question, I used to be a Non-Touchdrive user (A8 Veteran) but now I forgot how to use Tilt to Steer or Tap to Steer and now use Touchdrive, so I keep using it, and then I forgot it, so any tips?

Agree with most of the points, except for the TD point. I DO agree that with TD you're less competitive. If you want to end up high in MP, leaderboards etc., manual is by far the way to go. It's also a big advantage in GP's it's by far no guarantee manual will ensure a win - but obviously will increase your chances (but if you're in tier 1 with all good manual players, there's only so much keys to obtain ;-) ).
Now I'm talking as a someone being TD for almost 4 years (Android). I actually seriously tried manual (also in A8 and other Asphalt games), but it just isn't working for me. Now it helps I'm not competitive, I'm more a collector type of player. Plus if you play cards well, you can still get very far as a TD player and you don't even have to be a whale (LP helps though). Grinding a lot is really the key for me. For GP's I found a strategy which increased my chances by a lot. I'm now at 219 cars, 93 gold max. Unless I screw up current GP I'm at 220 next week. And as for MP: at least on Android TD works fine if you have a few good cars (i.e. good handling & nitro).
I know of more TD players that got really far over the years, for example in my club. But check out channels like Surgical Striker, Gaming With Awesome, Nox Fury or Madathanu -all (partly) manual players that got very far.

@@CarsOnGaming The title also has "never" in caps, a very strong suggesting I think. Using "should" instead of "must" pretty much pales into insignificance. So I'm not sure how I prove your point. Your point, at least how I interprate it, seems to be that TD is holding you back in progress so you "should NEVER do it", as your title quite strongly suggest. My point is that isn't necessarily the case and I think it's important to nuance this. My point is that with TD you can still get quite far and unless you're competitive can be more than sufficient to have good mobile gaming experience.
Some TD players said they don't like manual because the screen tilts. I told some guys to turn screen tilt off, and try manual like that. Some said it's much better and they thanked me. I personally never used screen tilt because I hate it. But I love manual control and loved it in A8 aswell.
@@axt3462 I tried several options. I do have to say, I tried a while ago with a controller on my laptop and I didn't do that bad. So I might give that a shot when Unite comes. Maybe try it a few times on Windows (my main account is Android, so with Unite I can play on Window - I'm not very convinced of Google Play Beta, tried that). But for me there's in most cases no need for manual, TD works fine and gives me enough joy. Only for Car Hunt Riot and GP's it could be useful for me. Even MP I prefer TD since I do it for the reward, not MP itself and my cars are good enough to get to LL/30k milestonesv with TD.

Yes, I disagree about the TD point. I am a happy hybrid driver. I don't want to 100% commit all my attention into something I play casually, especially something extremely repetitive like car hunts, by going full MD.
Bold of him to assume that i 360 other players for the nitro😂classic mp is a warzone...whenever i play clean i get kd...so as a defensive mechanism i always kd...plus its more fun...if you wanna set good lap times, wait for ghost or play tle...classic is not for the weak at heart...😅

Thnaks for the video ! I totally agree with all the points in the video, especially the first one. In the past, I tried to be nice and freindly in classic mp but some players just kept doing 360 kds to me so I was left no choice but to revenge on those who trying to knock me down. Hopefully this video could make our A9 experience better.
sometimes I 360 mainly because to remove clutter or eliminate any annoying drivers. My garage is only at lv16 without vandas or apertas or any of those multiplayer cars, my car's handling is averaging around 60 at best. It's incredibly frustrating whenever a td driver bumps me to the side at best or bumping me into a wall and wrecks at worst, and because my car's handling is so bad, it's really hard to recover from those instances. I just figured knocking them down just makes it way easier.
I do remember feuerrm saying doing 360s on the ground to knock down an opponent is considered dirty under no circumstances…

I started playing Asphalt on PC August 2023 and I've been playing since. I hate classic multiplayer so much for that very reason, I get kd by everyone doing 360 and shockwaves until i realized that I'm more focused on knocking down the person who knocked me down before the race ends. It's realy fking frustrating
Yep, I hate classic MP season too. In that "trash" season, your skills is not important. The most important thing is praying for those dirty players to not knock you down. I have many times nearly finish the race at 1st, then some motherf***er kissed my car with 360 and shockwave, and boom !!! I lost 20 point. I didn't even dare to hit the brake, cause once I hit the brake at the corner, some bastarad will hit me with shockwave and 360.
im a Windows player and Touchdrive Situwation Effected me in Lambogini Grand prix... Yes I use touch drive All the time, dumb, In grandprix, I qualified to T4.. and the one who becomes 1st everytime, have a low rank than what I my car have.. everytime he is 5 6 seconds ahead of me.. i absolutely doesn't understand how he`s driving.. i feel like Maqween when storm passed him without even trying.. i had to give up the grand prix.. Now I Vowed to never use touch drive again.

i agree, each person has their own differences, the action is better because the car doesn't look big on my screen and the camera is far away making me comfortable on any track, to be stable it's too big for the car and it feels faster in my opinion

I use TD because i never played any game with tilting thats why its really hard for me to drive without TD ihave tried tilting but its just waste of tickets and gas for me
Try changing sensitivity and maybe try tap to steer too, will help
Tap to steer could help you a bit more, but yes, it will take time, fuel and effort to improve manual, but in the long run it will be better

My problem with manual is that i enjoyed before the Unite update on switch, but after update the cars are too SLOW. I tried diffrent sensitivity settings, but same race where i was doing 1:16 now i do 1:30 ( VLF1 race for Egoista Blueprints for example)
I wouldnt refer to myself as a 360-spammer, per se; i mostly just use it strategically in multiplayer. In fact, i hardly use 360 because it's so slow, which is why i find the police cars so annoying in the events/career races that contain them, as they seem to always show up right in front of me and slow me down when i dont have enough nitro for a shockwave.
I would say only use TD as a beginner or on mobile mostly but you can also not use TD on mobile but it’s more convenient for it for me

Class D: DS e tense, lotus Elise, or all the boats in class d.
Class c: Honda NSX
Class B: Lamborghini Huracans and Chevy corvettes
Class A: I really dunno
Class S: I really dunno

class C: hussarya and NSX
class A: Vanda
No car is toxic. All cars are part of the game. If you feel a car is OP then use it and you'll see if you can win with it (hint: it still won't be easy).

Esse vídeo e maravilhoso até pra mim, antes da minha parada no game em 2018, aprendi a duras penas o quão prejudicial era gastar os tokens atoa, faz um ano e meio que voltei a jogar e tive que iniciar do zero, e mesmo sendo um jogador "avançado" (mesmo sendo burro que dói) eu já cometi muitas dessas cagadas e ainda estou em busca de melhorar ainda mais minha gameplay. Ser de fato um jogador a nível pró não é nada fácil, mas estou me saindo bem, mas a falta de carros competitivos, me prejudica demais, e fora que meu not também não ajuda nada.

Competition isn't toxic. It's healthy. Being predominantly indoors and stationary is unhealthy. All types of people playing the same game, on the same field, at the same time, despite varying skill levels and amounts for giving a crap, or even winning the competition at all, now that's toxic.

benefits of knocking down players in classic:
1: makes the game more fun
2: easy nitro of knockdown AND 360
3: +1 higher position on every knockdown
4: more fame that means people will try harder to climb higher in MP and meet you in a race so you get to knock them down

Using ground 360 means you don’t have the skill to win or race clean. Ground 360’s are for dirty dogs and only “more fun” for 12 year old children.

tbh I don't do these mistake but the last one the td i was playing the game for over two years no one told me to drive it manual now that i know manual is good it hell alot of task cause td is very easy but really boring
( for new players play in td for 1 month to find about track than switch to manual )

LOL. It's obvious that you KD someone in certain situations. Like for example you cannot pass the other guy easily and he blocks you from ramps, even threatens you with KD. In such cases you KD the other guy before he KDs you. It's a feature, use it.

Because some of us are disabled, and it's the only way I can play. It's also not like being on rails, you still need to know where and when to press for directions, and drift etc. and are you trying to say disabled people shouldn't be allowed? Not everyone is able bodied and can afford a good set up to play!
I'm disabled and have no choice, it's not on rails, you still have to know the tracks, and what to do, so by your logic I shouldn't play?
Because the alternative sucks. Manual controls are terrible for phones. Trying to keep the cars on the road in a 3D environment with ramps is hard by tilting or tapping a screen. The sub par controls stay in the way of enjoying the manual mode.

I don't know why but I find this extremely annoying, it's about the club system, some people create their club and set it to "Public" which means everyone has the right to join without permission, and then these bastards will kick people out if they are unfamiliar or have low reputation points. Like if you are going to start a club and you don't want people to join without your permission, please set it to "Request permission". You're wasting other people's time by making them to farm for reputation points and then kicking them. Dang

360 is a feature meant to be used to beat your opponent. I rarely 360 but that's NOT "toxic ". To be able to beat others using 360 requires skill as well.

@@CarsOnGaming 360 has it's downsides, to overcome which requires some skill. For one, it slows you down, sometimes significantly. It also requires one to be better than their opponent when both are competing to 360 the other. It's not something that is practised in the traditional sense but it's degree of success depends on the execution. That's a skill in my book.
