Hi! After more than two months of waiting i finally got mine yesterday. yey:) so i thought i share my first impressions with you guys. they are really easy to assemble(it took me about 2h), they look really really good, stirdy and shiny and all and feel quality. Now im not a drummer, but i noticed by now two issues so to say. Firstly, i think the sound thats coming out of module is poor. White noise and other odd- old cassete tape type noises.. I expected more like, complete silence until you hit the drum( i use high qual.earph.). Secondly, i got impression that if you want a consistent hi hat sound, you should find a sweet spot beetween tightning the bolts and hitting technique. Otherwise if you hit hard or use double strokes etc it kind of creates sounds on its own. Thats it by now, ill post more updates in the future, and if someone knows way around these "problems", feel free to give some advice here:)
Are you hearing the tape hiss on headphones and a drum amp? What amp and what headphone? Cheers. My kit is on it's way so too late to bail. I'm old enough that I oughta tune out the white noise in the background as that was the standard analog sound of my youth. Can't be as bad as the terrible sounds that come out of my guitar amps. It's weird because those awful noises only come out when I'm playing. When my buddy plays they sound great. Weird.
Poor module sound is solved by installing and using drum vsts on pc instead. I use technics headphones rpdh 1200. Cheers
Hello I think buy this kit you recomend this kit or the alesis nitro mesh kit?
@@emanoxky2542 sorry im not familiar with alesis nitro
@@milomirsimonovic576 I think he meant the white noise is the problem, not the drum samples (which we can hear in the video). Maybe he can clarify. Maybe the noise is caused by other electrics near the cables?
Awesome kit 🥺😍😍😍 and love your content 13k 💪🏻family
Greetings from Ireland, love your videos Simon, keep them coming!!!
Thanks a lot! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Simon
My "son's" 750x kit should arrive in NZ this week. Did I get him the kit just so I'd eventually have a house drummer to jam my guitars and bass with? Maybe. Or did I have an ulterior motive to fulfill my middle age desire to play drums myself? Also maybe. Meanwhile I think he has a drummer inside him. No drums, no way to know. I do know our tiny house (guitar storage facility) will be considerably smaller soon. And louder. I was disciplined and didn't sneak an SG into the order. Can't promise my wife that a sneaky SG isn't in our near future though.
Much love and keep on rocking haha
Can it play a foot splash with the hi-hats? The hi hats has diferent Open sensibilities? Is possible to add samples to the módulo? Sorry about my English . Thanks
super cool, ordering one coming month
I think I will add this awesome kit with 2 cymbals on my cart ASAP!!!! Thanks for your work ✊
Great. Thanks a lot! //Simon
for an extra cymbal and tom, you can get the upgrade pack.
@@CatBat5905thx i already bought it’s great but very fragile like the rest
Hai simon i definitely will buy this but kind of confused wether to buy the mps-750x or mps-850, i think those 2 are at different class but 750x far newer, so plis help me could u plis make +- or comparison between those 2, or maybe there will be 850x in near time, thaanks
There probably won’t be any 850x coming soon, it has already been more than 4 years and I bought the 750x because of the better module sound quality and Bluetooth, also bigger hihat and cooler looking cymbals with a 14” ride instead of 12”
Hi will the expansion module with the extra pad and cymbal dit in the rack?
Nice Drumset! Great Review as always Simon! Here are some ideas of myself for upcoming videos:
-Snare Drum Tuning
-Bass Drum Tuning
-Studio Tour
-Drum Department Tour
P.s. I know you already uploaded a tuning video, but I'd like to have it more detailed because I always love your snare sound Simon.
I hope you consider my wishes :-)
Thanks for still uploading videos in this difficult time and stay safe!
Greetings
Hi Jonathan. Thanks a lot for your feedback and interest! I‘m glad you like my drum sounds! Let me see what i can do with future Videos! All the best, Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash thanks Simon!
Bash with Bluetooth and headphones 🤘🏽 so the family is surprised how good ya sound when ya crank up the monitors
What about the bell sensitivity? 850 has an issue with that, it was quite difficult to get a consistent sound from the bell.
Looks like a very slick kit 👌
It is! //Simon
I think it needs one more cymbal. But I assume you might be able to set one of the tom rims to trigger a Ride? Still looks nice and it sounded pretty good!!
Yes...that could work. You can also add a cymbal pad by using the external line ins.
@@ThomannsDrumBash Very cool it is a nice kit especially with the hi-hat stand / pad.
Enigmatic Ocean ! Great LP
Wanted to buy a 415 one months ago soooo glad I waited
I bet you have never tried nothing else, you must be new to E-Drums then, the drums are terrible unless you go like around 1500
@@Samford404 not everybody has that kind of money to spend
I may wait for 850X
Awesome as I never heard of this brand and looking for good 1st edrum kit. How is customer support and overall quality over long haul?
Hey! Will Millenium mps-850 get an x version like this one?
yes go look :)
@@davidcotestratton I'm interested as well, where should we look?
I can't seem to find any news on it
@@kevincernoch58 download the thomman app.
@@ZandrielGrimm download the thomman app.
I have one on it's way to my house now so excited
Cool but will the millenium mps-850 have an X version too?
Nice video! you said the HH controller works well, did you try the one from MPS850? did they improve it for you?
Awesome 👏🏻
Tanks for the Video
Our pleasure!
I want it 😍😍
Is this hi-hat pad compatible with mps 750 drum?
You could make a proper tutorial video for the full setup including the module, I bought this set with the extensions 6 months ago and still can't connect the extra pads to work properly, this is so frustrating.
Does this kit recognise ghost note and play them at a quieter level?
Well im 1.87 tall so maybe the snare is a little bit to low for me... What do you guys think? It seems that it cannot be moved higher than already is. Anyone knows about this???
Would like to know also
Hi! Great video and I would like to ask you: Is the kick pad compatible for double pedal?? Thank you!
Hi Sabiel. Thanks for the comment. Yes, the pad is compatible with a double pedal. //Simon
Amazing drum kit! I like it! Could you test this drum kit with a real band? It would be very interesting. 🍺😎🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Hello Great review ! A question how the bluetooth works, does it edit the song to try to "disable" the drum part and let you play or it just play the song and thats all ?
Hi boss have a good day
What is good for millenium mps-750x or 850? 🤔😊
Great review! Do you think they could take a lot of punishment from a heavy rock drummer?
Well. As I am a heavy hitter too. I would say yes 😂 //Simon
@ThomannsDrumBash, is this 750X module also compatible to replace the MPS-750 module on the old kit? My module stopped working after a few years and I need to get a new one that is fully compatible with all pads on the MPS-750. Thank you!
I've been watching a lot of videos recently about edrums. I had already decided on the Alesis Nitro Mesh. But it's currently not available. And then I saw this video... Now I'm wandering if I should pay a bit more and get this MPS 750X.
There are so few videos about the 750X. I wanted to know more.
Can anyone, who know both kits, give an opinion?!
I was going to buy the Alesis plus an extra cymbal (Ride to be). And that is still less expensive than the MPS.
Opinions?! Thanks
Does the Ride do also as the second crash?
Does it have rim shots and Cross sticks sounds? How do you do them?
Does the set come with build-in rim triggers to produce a rim click sound?
believe the snare is dual zone
So its basically a mix between the millenium mps 450 and mps 750 .
Wrong, a mix between 850 and 750.
Damn you nailed the amen break
i just got mine and i enjoy it.... Where i can ask for technical questions about the mps-750x
Hi Ray. What do you need? How can I help? //Simon
Hi Simon i need to know which DAW and VST you are using for MPS-750x and how is the set up... Thanks
Does anybody know how to get these drums to show up in Adobe Audition? I plugged the drums into my computer and all the instructions tell you is that the drivers download automatically; well, they didn't. What the 612 do I do now?
Hey! Is it possible to add a double kick pad on it? I really need a good e-drum set to rehearse at home, the band practice isn't enough and I live in an apartment building, the neighbors wouldn't be happy if I got a drum kit at home :)). This one seems awesome and the price is good. Cheers!
Hi Ana Cristina. Yes. It is possible to add a double kick pedal to it. //Simon
Hey how was your hi hat configuration? I got this same model but my HH is not responding naturally. Thanks!
Hi Luan. Unfortunately I don’t know my settings anymore but the hihat can be calibrated In the advanced settings category called „calib.“ I hope this helps. //Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash thanks.
I bought this kit month ago, I use it only several times and now i am facing module problem. Your technical support said that it takes month for module replacement. It takes time for me to wait....
I‘m sorry to hear that! //Simon
Hey,I just ordered a 750x set.Can you help me how can i add an extra crash cymbal? What do i need to buy?
Hi! This is what you need: bit.ly/2WZitS9 + a stereo jack cable //Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash Thank you!
would it work to put a double pedal on this ?
will there be a 850X version as well?
I hopeee
Hi! Considering no problem of costs and no need of extra Tom and cymbal, what is more worthy to buy between 750x and 850 in terms of quality and durability? Thanks a lot for the answer
Hi Mattia. I'd say the 850. //Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash Thank you a lot!!
This has only 2 cymbalpads the previoysly set had 3 symbalpads +one extra plug in for 4th symbal...
It didn't have the High hat, and there's 2 extra slots for pads or cymbals
I'm 6"2, can I increase the height of the drums to my liking?
A felt drum beater used with a mesh head = not so great..
But nice video. :)
Has someone figured out hihat settings yet? I have it for about a year and still cant solve major problems like splash doubletriggering and how to set closed, semi and open intervals to sound somewhat like real thing.
Hey! What about the bassdrumpad? Is there enough space for a double pedal?
Hi Dominik. Yep. There is enough space for the double pedal.
Hat das e Schlagzeug auch Reggae Sounds ?
Also, connecting via bluetooth isn't easy at all! It asks for a PIN code--where on earth do I find that????!!!!
Nervous about ordering at the moment as I am in UK and don't know if delivery would be ok from Germany
Hey! Let me see on Monday if I can find out some information about that! //Simon
Hi! The shipping to UK should be no problem and normal as usual. If you'd like to know more please write an eMail to international@thomann.de //All the best, Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash Thanks Simon - I have ordered the kit now, Looking forward to receiving
You don't need these cringy moments
I agree
Comes the rack pre-installed ?
The rack comes with the kit but you have to assemble it by yourself with the assembly instruction.
Please go into more detail if this because ur the only one with a video out for this right now and I don't want to buy it blind u know. But for how short the video was alot of information thanx
Hi Aaron. What would you like to know about the kit? All the best, Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash thanx so much for the response. Can I book it up to midi? And is there a overview of the modual somewhere? Thanks again for the response
Hi Aaron. Yes, you can connect it to your PC Via the USB Midi output. You also can adjust the midi note of each pad/rim in the module.
About the module:
Six sliders allow real-time access to instrument volume and effect intensity, so that it is not necessary to dive into confusing, complex submenus. There are 15 song memory spaces available for recording your own patterns. All sounds can be transposed over a wide range, they can also be provided with reverb or distortion and processed with a compressor or 4-band equalizer. 20 freely assignable user kits offer plenty of storage space for your own creations. If you want to expand the kit later, you have the option of connecting two more pads. USB and MIDI interfaces ensure smooth communication with the computer and also allow control of external sound sources.
I hope this helps. //Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash yes, that helps so much I'm gonna be purchasing mine soon. Thanks again and have a good day
@@Dumbosity3929 Your Welcome! //Simon
Hi Simon,
I just bought mines couple days ago. Could you please tell me how to play ...the sound without the headset. Just like you playing in your video, so I don't have to use the headset?!
Thanks👍
Hi Leyla. I actually do use headphones in the video. Using the kit without headphones you need to connect the kit to external speaker with a stereo jack cable. Hope that helps. Let me know if not. //Simon

Is it missing a cymbal from the regular 750
Yes it is. //Simon
Can you help me with buying an extra Tom? What do I need to buy?
It's on their website in the electronic snare pads section. Have a nice day.
I have some problems with cymbals. Ride and crash do not choke, hi hat sounds always open. Can you help me?
This may sound stupid but did you check all the cable connections. Are they plugged in properly? //Simon
How do you connect bluetooth headphones to it
Not sure if that’s possible. Let me check. Get back to asap. Simon
Is the hihat single or dual zone?
I think it’s Single zone but let me check back with the product managers team. //Simon
would this be good for learning on ?
Yes. Totally.
@@ThomannsDrumBash Thanks. I use keys to finger drum and thinking of getting into using a drum set instead . This set looks good for price .
I want to learn drumming and I'm trying to get one of millenium drums, but I can't get some information I need. Does it come with an app or software like Yamaha? I would like a visual display, for example when learning, a visual of what hit/kick will come handy. If not, which software can be recommended.
Bro me too I think this millenium 750x or the alesis nitro mesh kit because I dont know information for this kit
Hi guys. @Emanoxky25 I would go with the 750X, it feels a lot better than the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit.
@Dami Unfortunately the kit doesn’t work with an app but I will double check that with the our product managers on Monday and get back to you ASAP! Happy New Years, Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash Thank you Simon, I would be looking forward to hearing from you again. And Happy New Year to you too.
Another issue for consideration is which kit to buy. First introduction was MPS-450, then I saw 750X and thought it might be better. Any thoughts?
Hi @Dami A! If you have the money I would go with the 750x. The sample and sound quality is a lot better and I think the pads are large. //Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash Good to hear that! The 750X will be considered.
BTW, did you get any feedback regarding the app/software?
Can you run a double kick on one of these?
You mean a double kick pedal? Yes, I think so. //Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash That would be a make or break for me. Could you test it? I know a lot of people would want to see that.
Dont buy such a drumset bro, believe me, search for my comment here in the comment section to understand why..
I can't connect with my phone because it asks me for a code. Does anyone know the code?
I'm sure you found the answer by now, but for anybody who didn't get the code it is 1337 that is the one that worked for me.
please, someone, let me know if it supports double kick pedals, please.. thanks
It definitely will, the kick is 8 inches across, plenty to support double kick

Extremely cheap price tag!
Extremely cheap materials, sound quality, durability, and feeling, man don't buy anything on that price tag, if it's so cheap its for some reason you know yourself. Save up money wait longer and get something better trust me it's not worth a shit.
@@Samford404 For beginner and home exercise it's great.
.
@@kevincernoch58 It's a pure waste of money in my opinion as experienced in the world of e drums I've made mistakes especially getting a cheap electronic kit, highly suggest to wait and save more money for something better, trust me youre going to regret that. That being said up to the client to chose what to do.
@@Samford404 better means TD-50KV, which costs ten times more than this kit. And its NOT ten times better. IMO e-drums never be 100% like acoustic drums. Its not a fault, but the nature of things. If you hit a plastic cymbal, its always gonna be a plastic cymbal. Thats it.
