My dad had a conversation with me when I was 18 that was eerily similar. Substitute a few of those words with being more practice and hanging out with loser friends and it’s an identical speech. Thank you dad🙏🙏
Sometimes I feel down and I gotta come watch this and cheer myself up. Sometimes it's just something you gotta hear. Start hating my job hating where I am in life and this scene is just a reminder I am responsible for my own happiness and goals. It's a humbling talk that gets me back on track
But it all last for ever big man keep ya chin up I'm the same u are not alone I have to come back to this aswel keeps me moving true hards times life family shit so on and so forth what don't break a nigga will make a nigga 💯 u iether feel it or u don't iether way u have to not give a fuck weather they do or not
Stallone comes up with the most inspirational speeches all throughout my life I listen to these things he says since Rocky 1 all the way to his current work. He's a super guy.
One of those moments when the experience of accrued wisdom, great insight & maturity (Rocky) is passed on to one possessed of intellectual brilliance & cerebral erudition yet also the inexperience of youth (his son). His son had the high IQ & sharp, polished intellect though Rocky had the sage wisdom, street smarts & deep understanding of life's more daunting & adverse challenges. Thus this scene proved that even the smartest, most knowledge packed & intellectually astute amongst us can derive so much inspiration, life lessons & guidance from the experience, maturity & wisdom of those whom we would deem as elder, even if their intellectual capacity & brain power is considerably less. Great speech, one of the best in a franchise filled with awesomely motivational & poignant speeches!
I never had the option of giving up & quiting. Now that I am 57 & all growing up ( I grew up quick 14years old) I believe that I will stick with my original life lesson, " of quitting has never been an option."
I remember growing up it was a sense of pride when people would look at your accomplishments and then go "oh that must be so-and-so's kid" because they recognized your father taught you well and you were able to make it your own. Provided you had a role model in your family, you WANTED to be like them not in every way, but you wanted life figured out like they seemed to. Now? Man...
I really needed to hear that. I've had autism all my life and never knew till a month ago. Im 35. I've taken more hits than i care to admit and im on my knees right now. (Edit) Thank you for the encouragement. Thank you.
Just reading what you wrote pal personally I think you're 1 of the strongest people I have ever seen written on this pages don't get down get up because the world need a great person like you in it 👍👍
I hit that point once where life beats you up till you’re just blaming people for lack of actions taken to better the overall situation of life. Drinking/smoking just to get through the day. Thank God he allowed me to change and now I’m making RUclips content to help others that’s down in life. If it’s lords will I will change lives.
Back when real movies were made not some spandex wearing actor pretending he’s got superhuman abilities rocky really laid it down in the scene!!!!!! Hard work and determination go a long way in life something I think today’s society is sorely missing
When I'm down, i remember that i can scratch my head, wash myself, pick up a fork and feed myself, open doors, get out of my bed by myself and get dressed alone. With this reminder i know i have so much more than so many others who need in home care just to get the basics of life cared for. My brother became a quadriplegic at 15 years old a diving accident, i was 10. 10 years later my second oldest brother was in a motorcycle accident and broke his back, became a paraplegic. Everything changed for everyone in our family. Not to forget our Mother broke her neck 4 years before my oldest broke his neck and back, she made it through took time patience and a lot of work on everyones part, she was a true fighter everyday. There was circle beds, tongs and weights, halos, braces, wheel chairs, surgeries hospital stays away from home. For me, when life grabs me by the back side i know i can grab it back. Thats far more than many have the ability to do and i find myself feeling grateful again just to be alive and fully functional. It is true for me. It is not about how hard you can hit or get hit, its about how hard life hits you and you/me being able to get back up. Sure it hurts, but ive got it much better than many and i am grateful. It always passes.
I liked the Rocky movies as great entertainment how ever the first and last ones will always be my favorite ones because they both are filled with so much wisdom !
muchos decian que este actor, incluso me incluyo, se decia que siempre actuaba mal, que sus papeles casi ni cambiaban, no era la gran cosa, pero el siguio actuando, siguio haciendo lo que le gustaba, y le cerro la boca a todo el mundo
No way you did pal if you're there for him every day you did not failed him I have 4 kids i wish I had a dad that was there for me the way I'm there for them but I love being there for them not tell you how 2 b a dad but get your head up and focus on the game if you are down he will cents that just keep taking 2 him he will find his way good luck pal 👍
Damn. That was a great scene. Between Father and son. I remember the scene with Adrian in Rocky V, Rocky saw Tommy Gunn fight and gain the heavy weight belt. But Tommy didn’t thank Rocky for training him on tv. Adrian wasn’t surprised, told Rocky he isn’t you. Rocky your power and spirit comes from your kind heart. Tommy doesn’t have your heart.
If my dad talked to me like this, I would've turned out to be somebody. F***! Instead we're both watching this and going "sh**, rocky should've been our dad"
Do not fake it to you make it. I don't know why people started using this "advice". If you have a bad day at work or whatever, get up the next day and keep working on it.
First time I saw the movie, I thought that the scene would end before Rockys speech, and somehow before the fight his son would apologize... but I found words that inspired me then and still does. My favourite Rocky movie
this hit close home to me this motivate me because man life is hard sometimes there are times when i just had enough and then someone will remind me if i can you can do it too i trying really hard here
Absolutely outstanding all's I do is cry about my godaughter Sara died at 17 yr old I raised her not my blood since she was 2 yrs old now my persistent complex bereavement disorder I take one hour at a time bless Sara my ildol Silvester Stallone thank you God Jesus Christ and everyone amen
So I'm Workin my ass off in here non stop cuz these songs help me to get up again after 13 moves here already I got more moves here then all my cousin's here put together n trust I'm working only for this
I've overcome a lot of struggles throughout my life, but eventually you just get tired and you can't go on anymore lol I finally reached the a mountain that I don't think I'll be able to climb. I don't have any stamina or magic left. The world is a very mean and nasty place. Nothing hits harder than Life.
Rocky's son wasn't a coward he just missed his mother and he took everything out on his dad because he knew that was all he had left as a father my self two 4 kids never talk about your son like that some people in life have lost their kids in joy yours you think he is a coward you are the coward with this comment
His loss I had the same thing in my life but I keep moving forward and I have my own family now 4 lovely kids and a great wife the past can hurt you so much never look back always move 4ward
I'm 43 and I think I'd actually like to hear my dad say he hates me. My mom and him separated when I was 1 and hes never said a word to me. I dont know why
“Unless you start believing in yourself, you ain’t gonna have a life”
Powerful.
Yes ur 100 riteok 👊👊👊👊
Now that’s how you smack some sense into your kid without laying a hand on him 😂😂😭
Exactly!! I Memorized this speech for my son if the time comes
Love it!
FACTS!!!
Jesus Christ loves you repent from all sins

Don’t forget to visit your mother. That hit hard, the way he said it.

Thank you dad🙏🙏
You’ve been blessed with a good dad, that’s rare these days
Good for you buddy , your dad sounds very wise 💪
On point! Be true to yourself so you can look in the mirror.
Probably the most meaningful explanation of life
But some people have jobs they love, others have hard jobs that can’t be made good.
Sometimes I feel down and I gotta come watch this and cheer myself up. Sometimes it's just something you gotta hear. Start hating my job hating where I am in life and this scene is just a reminder I am responsible for my own happiness and goals. It's a humbling talk that gets me back on track
same here
But that motivation won’t last for months and years.

Live my life by rocky values mate :-)
Also in Over The Top the “The world meets nobody halfway” speech
Rocky wasn't his first movie though
@@jaredbrown6066 yeah I couldn't remember which was his first but I definitely wasn't a cobra fan my Brown brotha lol

This speech is amazing and the Rocky and Creed movies are legendary at giving people life lessons you can use in your life
The Rocky movies are what they are for two reasons: their inspiring workouts and Rocky's simple wisdom.
Most of Rocky's wisdom was learned from Mickey and then Apollo
A gross over simplification.

Fuck role models. I am my own man and I idolize NOBODY but myself

Rocky is the father that we always have. Bless you Rocky.
Life's punches.... When someone like this fighter show you what real success Is about
ALWAYS REMINDS OF ME DAD WHEN I WAS IN MY DARK DAYS BLAMING EVERYONE FOR MY FAILINGS IN LIFE
Sometimes it's good to remind yourself of this.
Back when real movies were made not some spandex wearing actor pretending he’s got superhuman abilities rocky really laid it down in the scene!!!!!! Hard work and determination go a long way in life something I think today’s society is sorely missing
Why are you being an idiot? who exactly are you fucking talking about?
I am stuck man..
Is there any assistance you can provide?
Bullshit. Hard work Don’t mean shit since millions work hard every fucking day but they are completely fucking worthless in life.
and they say Stalone cant act....
he can.
Also - this movie , i loved it when it came out , still do.
How versatile are his best performances? That's what makes a great actor vs a great action star.
@@johngalt2336 I think delivery is more important than versatility. Think Humphrey Bogart

Este Linea que dijo que Stallone debió ganar un Oscar por Dios 😢👌🏼❤️
One of the best scenes of all the Rocky movies.
In terms of Rocky films this one is bad but this speech sums life up pretty well. Fair play Sly
I loved Rocky 6 because it was the only one that came out while I was alive and it has alot of lessons in it and great acting.
this is one of my favorites
after this speech Milo became Peter from Heroes
This keeps me going forward thanks to rockys true words
I pray my son never ends up being a coward like rockys kid
"It's about how how hard you get hit and KEEP ON GOING!"
When your kids get older telling them the truth even if you know it may hurt their feelings is the best thing to do for them.
By far one of my most favorite quotes of all time
