- This next revisit is a pretty big one! We are revisiting how to fly not only a Pelican, but also the Phantom! It's rare in any Halo game to be able to fly a Pelican or Phantom. The easter egg isn't too hard to do either. Enjoy!

Good video, but you missed a few things. First, if on co-op, a second player can use the pelican turret if s/he walks close to it. The player's view will at first be obscured, but if you land the pelican on a flat roof top and have the guy in the turret shoot at the floor a few times, his/her view will no longer be obscured. Second, marines can use pelican turrets, phantoms turrets, phantom plasma cannons, and I think even ride in the pelican. Third, phantoms have no collision detection and can go through buildings, though this can get you killed. Fourth, pelicans are invincible while phantoms are not. Fifth, it's possible to do this on solo if you have a jet pack and can land the falcon in a nearby ledge using the propellers, and sixth, map barriers are disabled, so you can explore the outer friend of the map, including the cruisers off in the distance, which aren't actually solid objects and can be flown through.
One part of the cruiser is solid. That "allspark" cube thing in the middle of it.
i was surprised how similar the interior of the cruiser looked to the interior of a forge made cruiser.

It was a blast to get marines into all the operatable turrets on the Phantom and finish the mission with it, it's too bad though because players who use the Phantom turret I believe won't be able to unobscure their vision (at least I think), so only AI can use it well, but doing all this takes much setup, and was my favorite time with this easter egg by far, if people do this easter egg they should really try it.
Yes indeed, the marines can fill the Pelican even to its fullest, but they never get out once in (though I you can flip them out, but lose your current pelican), but only another player can exit. Kind of a shame since it would be cool as heck to send a storm of marines after a group of enemies on the mission, but it only comes at the end, but lord knows I had a blast piloting these, and I really wish we could use them in more then just Reach and Halo 4, that Halo 4 mission was too lonely; I wanted to use it like a proper dropship.
I hope halo infinite has a flyable pelican or phantom, whether in mission, glitch or custom game. I hope they do it.

it's actually just a cube which uses the textures from the cruiser.

Thanks so much for revisiting this really old Easter Egg! I love you so much! I have been watching you for 5 years and I could see how you progressed this far!
that easter egg is the best Easter egg in Halo reach but unlike the pelican and phantom you can drive vary vary far out of the map with out dieing or hitting a visible well. the banshee and the falcon can't go that far out of the map I test it and it works.

You can get in the pelican turret. At first your view will be obstructed, but if you stay in long enough you can see perfectly and shoot enemies. Also having a marine on either the pelican or phantom turret is very useful (especially the phantom since players cannot operate that one and it's way stronger than the pelican's turret).
It's nice to see someone revisiting the old Halo: Reach days
Fun fact : I always wanted to fly a Pelican JUST because on the catalogue it said that Pelican can fit in few people or even a vehicle.
You know warthog with Gauss Cannon? Well, on the ground, it works like smaller moving version of MAC cannon. On a Pelican tho, it would work like MAC rounds! You can fly up, down, left, right - everywhere!
And it also works like in Battle Royale, so that if you are above needed zone you can just drive that warthog down and when you need it back up - land a pelican to let it go in.
And remember : NOT the things holding it like it does with warthogs in campaign or firefight, but the INSIDE of the Pelican.
jet pack on solo is required. An your right it's tricky as FUCK to pull off without falling to your death or losing your hornet? I forgot the name of that vehicle

You can fire the machinegun on the pelican you have to have the other person go to the front of it and if he presses the button to get in on the right spot you can shoot it but sometimes you can't see
You can balance the propellers on the ledge and jump out with a jetpack to land on the falcon and then jump then jetpack and press the switch etc.

It is possible Solo, but it is quite tricky. One strategy is to carefully balance the falcon on the ledges under the button, hopping out and jetpacking up to it.
Btw it's possible to do it by yourself. You need a jetpack, and when you go to press the button you can prop the pelican wings up on the wall, jetpack up and hit the button, then get in the falcon and do the rest. Another thing, you can get marines and your team mates IN the pelican. You can get a marine to operate the turret.

You can actually use the pelican turret by having someone go very close to the turret (like walking into it while holding to x button or rb button or whatever you use to get in vehicles) tho it won’t show the message of getting inside the vehicle.you still can tho
it's not the first time you fly a pelican, in halo 4 you did...but it is one of the coolest halo easter eggs
you can explore far far far out of the map and explore out beyond the visible well all you need is a phantom or a pelican and you can explore!
you can use the Turrets on the phantom and pelican, second person just has to go near them and press X (there will be know text saying to hold button) but you will then be operating turret. ( but the screen is black for some reason)
its super easy to hit the button solo. Just put the propellers on top of the little cat walk then jetpack up, then get back in.

If you lodge a falcon into one of the corner of the building with the button you can use a jetpack to reach the button. In single player.
yeah it can be done solo i done it you need to make sure the wing of the falcon is clinging on to the sides pretty cool :D
You can do it on your own by landing the Falcon on the small gabs underneath the botton und the quickly jump onto the Falcon with the Jetpack you can get from the hospital ^^ And you can also get on the Pelican turret, but it has to be the right angle to get the option to do it :)
wine you got an objective to go inside an orange building and destroy the covernent con becon or something like that... go out and look for a secret switch.this secret switch will be located in one of those medical buildings. wine you find the switch press X the flip the switch and head back to the objective.wine you head back the objective the objective building will turn into a bar club building with wired music, dancing grunts,and with a DJ brute. but also if you melee them or shot one bullet at them it will turn back into the normal objective there's video's on how to find the secret switch
Good suggestions! Apparently the evac button ceases to work as soon as the button on the building is pressed, and I tried going around to all places to get a checkpoint but no such luck. And if you kill all the shade turrets the banshees disappear. So I guess there isn't a safe option for easily being able to retry just getting a banshee after pressing the button.
I ended up getting it where you did, except on the pipes right next to it where the banshees appeared to be passing more closely so I could basically just fly straight up to try to hijack and not risk falling to my death (again).
Curiously I finished the mission with the phantom and just ramming into the shade turrets which didn't shoot at me, but the waypoint on where to land afterwards did not appear.
also remember that pelican Machine gun glitch on the mission long night of solace its the exact same thing with the pelican on this mission
Maybe try doing the thing where you crouch and hold the use button near the front of the pelican like in the long night of solace, maybe you can have one player fly the pelican and another use the gun
If you have someone get on the back of the pelican and have the pilot jump out, then it will fall with the passenger. And will just fall and eventually will stop falling and the passenger will live. then have that person get out and you will be on the bottom of the map and have the pilot spawn and now you both are at the bottom.
You can do this solo, but it requires both immense pilot skill and a jet pack. Also a falcon. The falcon has to be landed a certain way and it takes a good few attempts to do
If you do it solo, just get a jetpack, wedge the falcon in the turn in the part of the building were it is jetpack up, and quickly get back into the desired vehichle.

This and the tribute room can be done in single player

Yeah, just grab a jetpack and jump out and fly up.
In single player you can wedge the falcons wings into the sides of the building under the button, then use jet pack to push it.
Its just fascinating what people talk about in comments.

Army trooper/marine npc allies can use the front turrets, and human players can use the pelican's chin gun
Pressing the Button solo is easy its all about falcon placement and a jetpack, also a Marine can man the turret on the Pelican, I did it everytime on this lvl
pelican is indestructible so you dont have to worry about enemies but the phantom can be killed although it takes a long time, its also very hard but possible to have someone mount the main gun on both the phantom and pelican, easier to man the pelican gun because you can glitch the gun's 'body' to vanish so you can see but this cant be done with the phantom. oh and the phantom has infinite boost and can go through walls so you can on single player just kill the turrets in final part of the mission by ramming them off their platforms and the same can be done to the banshee's (ramming them i mean)
*Warning Button Disables Evac So You Can't Call Other Falcons If You Break The Pelican By Leaving It*

Also the Falcons doesn't change you get teleported out and you can see it fall.
I can press the button by myself on solo. Just need to land the falcon in that one gap next to the button. Have a jet pack on as well
for solo. just use a jetpack btw. dunno why you whouldnt mention that. and instead say: "it might be possible"

Halo reach phantom design is my favorite varient
it's easy to do it solo but u need a jetpack and then u fly to the spot and land on the corner and use the jet pack to fly up and get the button and stand on the lip then get to your falcon and u r done then go threw the building
I did this for the first time in 5 years last week.
You can do it in solo you land the falcon under that area and fly a Jetpack up
You should revisit halo reach's halsey lab thing.

Me and my friend just did this and we beat the turrets by nudging them off and it was interesting to say the least
I've actually done both of these by myself before. The first button you just get the front end of the falcon on that little ledge and hop out press the button and hop back in real quick.
