small technical note, player spartan and player elites fire from the camera, in anniversery graphics it seem like the weapon is position on the floor, so if you would untick the first from camera, the shots would likely come from the floor where the weapon is located in. the same would go for AI, they all do not fire from camera, but if they were, the shots would not originate from the weapon they hold.
What about the human turret (GPMG) that Marines can be seen carrying before setting it up? Like Johnson at the beginning of Cairo Station or that one Marine in Metropolis before the Scarab destroys the Scorpion.
The reason the Hunter cannon comes out of his forehead is because that is where the camera is and probably the default point that projectiles, at least some of them, are shot out of. Otherwise you would be able to have someone in your crosshairs on screen but the gun could be blocked and you just shoot a wall or a low barrier. You can do it with the detachable turrets in other Halo games, and some more realistic games do it on purpose as a feature.
I remember getting a glitched energy sword where if you drained your sword and then held onto it in your hand, then went through a cinematic the sword would look depleted but function as a charged energy sword, basically turning into a invisible energy sword that never looses its charge. Basically turning into the invisible light saber. Star Wars lore fans will know what I'm talking about.

the silenced SMG was in Halo 2 assuming it was meant for the ODST's only but Chief could use it too, but was scrapped and later used for Halo 3 ODST instead.

It looks like it could offer some pretty fun gameplay of taking less damage at the cost of doing less damage, given the dual-wield penalty on weapons would still apply. Would be pretty nifty to just sort of tank one's way through tough segments. SPV3 adds it, but it's kind of pointless since you can only punch with it. It'd be a whole different ballpark with the ability to fire a weapon with it(or even cooler, go full medieval and wield it with an energy sword.)

It is also found floor mounted in a handful of missions an mp maps. I belive its called the m247. This one is simply unmounted.

I'd like to see some modding to the brute pike. It reminds me of the Shock Lance in Unreal II. Maybe it could be somehow combined with a plasma or lightning particle beam to make it more like a lightning staff.
Trust me when I say, when Halo 2 was originally out and custom mods were relatively popular (I'm primarily meaning non-cheating mods), newer modders absolutely loved using the Phantom Guns Projectiles, along with the Scarab Gun and any Non-Multiplayer weapon/projectile in their mods. Luckily it's been well over a decade since then or I'd most likely be sick of seeing it still lol.

I've wanted the Jackal Shield to be an official weapon in Halo since the H2 days. Going around with an Energy Sword and a Jackal Shield is the dream.

Technically you couldn't use it. It was only an entity created specifically for the jackals to hold. The same goes with Halo 1 jackals aswell.

For Tartarus' gravity hammer what you can do is kill him the pick it up, works for both MCC and og tested it myself

No enemies can't run out. The ammunition left is entirely randomized

I think that the GPMG has been in the files but unusable until recently. And the GPMG is literally just the human mounted Machinegun unmounted.
