I am growing my hair almost a year now. Most of the feedbacks I received were positive except from my parents because to them I look like an addict. I can't blame my parents and others about it since we are here in Philippines and long hair men has a negative interpretation here. However, I still don't care because My Hair, My Rule.
I did an instagram story poll last week, and i asked if i should cut my hair or keep growing it. 90% said i should cut it. So i posted the results on my story and said: thanks for reminding me that im doing this all for myself : )

I’m a metal guitarist and long hair for me is a must have. Although I get a few stares and looks from random people in public, most of the time is feels pretty normal and if there’s any guy who wants to grow their hair long reading this, don’t be afraid to do it, just go for it

I grew my hair out for the first time of my life in my adult years and now I get complimented by girls more than guys!!! Should've done this from the get go 🤣

Hell was even about to cut 12 inch off for someone to make a wig out of but that's the last time I consider that for someone ungrateful
I have long hair but here in Sweden no one has really negatively commented it. Some in my class may have joked about it but no hate really. I also like rock music but that's not why I grew it out, but sometimes I feel like I need to keep it long for the rock image and reminder😂. And also R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen he used to have long hair and is my biggest inspiration for playing guitar.

Don't mock its true, long hair isn't a stereotypical liberal or hippie or metalhead. Its a lifestyle, you got it or you don't, I recommend everyone try it atleast once and make your own decision to keep it.
My dad came from a town with less than 1,000 people and he said there was quite a few people with hair past his shoulders and he even tried to grow it out himself

I work at a restaurant as a server and I have plenty of young and old ladies complement my bun. However I love braiding my hair to see all kinds of different crowds complements/reactions.
i remember few years ago doing dutch braids and most all people say just looks odd (yes for whites its hard to pull off) and basically everyone hinting to quit doing it ,,,,,,,,,, got into the tattoo scene over last few years and now have arms hands neck and few face tattoos and decided to try the dutch braids again , and now nobody really says anything negative , kind of either really likes it or just goes along , for braids to work i think it's got to be a whole persona look you're going for to pull it off

I was growing my hair a while ago. Got my hair nearly down to my lip . But getting a lot of stick for it then I shaved it all off then regretted it. So now I'm growing again n not going take notice what anyone says. But Its only been 2 months so got long way to go. Sometimes people can be negative n sometimes it can get to you what people say, but you got get a tough skin I suppose. Your hair Thomas seems to have had a spurt on. Once you get to a certain lenght most people don't give a shit about it. The annoying comments stopped for me about chest lenght and now i can fit in easily... still the woman mistaken thing happens so annoyingly but its ok, women are great 😅😅😅
In my case i always had undercut.When i started growing it became only like 10-15 cm,Point when it was covering half of ear,everyone was saying cut it,I was hearing it like 10 times a day.Then when it became chin length middle part,It stoped really.Just everyone understood that i rock long hair and i don’t give a fuck about their opinion.Also it was really beautiful and there was no point of saying to cut it

What a great video! I find it funny, that long hair on men is such a big topic for some people. I live in Berlin (Germany), and honestly haven't had one single negative comment concerning my hair. I guess, it really does depend on where you live. Also I think, that having confidence and inner peace with other people's opinions is the most important thing. People can sense insecurities.
corona helped many men actually getting through the process of growing. and more men with long hair lead to bigger acceptance, because its not so uncommon anymore. i started to grow out after my vacation in february (from 3mm on the sides, 5 cm on top). 8 months in i can wear my halfbun with pride. probably 3-4 months more and ill can have a little full bun. :D
I absolutely 💯 LOVE long hair on men; especially when it is well managed and thick! My husband currently has long hair and in 1 year he plans to donate it to "Wigs for Kids" for children who have lost their hair due to cancer, an auto immune disease or other ailment. I would do this but to be honest my hair is thin and frail & it is processed. My husband has gorgeous thick hair that has never been processed. I admire his decision and am so thankful to have a husband who thinks of others and wants to help kids. 💗
Bro, I have hair as long as you (its curly and I have some premature gray but its well taken care of cut styled etc). Don't ever cut it man, your hair rocks. For me one day I was like fuck it imma grow out my hair, thinking that if it didn’t look good I can just cut it off. After 21 months I’d say it turned out way better than I thought and I get tons of compliments but a lot of people call me Fabio for some reason. But if you want to grow out your hair, do it. You never know how it will turn out.

I'm from India. Recently started watching your videos. Trying to get myself a man bun. Only have, like a short pony up till now. Now, the thing about long hair on men in India is you'll find a lot of people up to a certain length and then the number drops significantly. I can count on my tips the number of times I've seen Indian guys with length half as yours. The reaction I get from people is kinda mixed. Some dont really comment anything on it. Some make fun of it. Some say "go do your thing". Hell even my parents throw a taunt or two at times (mostly playfully) but I think the trick is getting yourself to be immune to what people think about your hair. I mean its my hair. It may not make sense to some but honestly it comes down to how far a guy goes with the grooming of his hair. Luckily for men it actually looks way better when you can tell he doesn’t go extra with his grooming, if it looks a LITTLE messy and slightly out of place, women actually find it way more attractive and it just looks overall better. When guys start going to far with there hair ( flat ironing, constantly brushing, tons of product etc) that’s when it starts to looking weird and gives off the wrong look lol

Just wanted to say that since were on the topic of guys with long hair I had my first ever crush on a guy with long hair. At first it was a purely physical attraction and I thought I would get over it. But every guy in my area has a buzz cut, or very very short hair and what I look at first is hair, it can actually tell a lot about you. But it was sixth grade and he was my first crush I had on a guy. I didn’t get crushes easily and I only had one before, who was my best friend. My best friend I had a crush on knew him, and then after getting to know his personality, I fell really hard. I think longer hair makes a person more attractive, it’s my opinion mostly because no guys in my area even had a little bit of hair and I was deprived of the fluffiness of hair that I could play with. If I ever have a partner, you bet I’m gonna play with their hair and give them head massages. I still have a crush on him, since I don’t get crushes easily and I’ve only had two in my life, my love life is very hard. It’s even worse that I have social anxiety, and severe anxiety in general. But I just like long hair on both genders, platonically and romantically. I like to play with something when bored, and I’m just glad that my friends let me give them braids or just brush their hair. No one has touched or played with my hair before but at the hairdresser it always feels nice so I give other people the nice feeling of having their hair played with. My husband currently has long hair and in 1 year he plans to donate it to "Wigs for Kids" for children who have lost their hair due to cancer, an auto immune disease or other ailment. I would do this but to be honest my hair is thin and frail & it is processed. My husband has gorgeous thick hair that has never been processed. I admire his decision and am so thankful to have a husband who thinks of others and wants to help kids. 💗
Bro, I have hair as long as you (its curly and I have some premature gray but its well taken care of cut styled etc). Don't ever cut it man, your hair rocks. For me one day I was like fuck it imma grow out my hair, thinking that if it didn’t look good I can just cut it off. After 21 months I’d say it turned out way better than I thought and I get tons of compliments but a lot of people call me Fabio for some reason. But if you want to grow out your hair, do it. i started to grow my hair around senior high school and it's around 2 years. Sounds kindda funny coz some of my classmate told me that i look good with long curly hair. But since i'm Indonesian chinese and being brought with chinese tradition, at first my fam told me to cut my hair several times coz it doesn't fit what chinese person look like, what they meant is i should be look like those "oriental" chinese and thus with the popularity of kpop, people around me told me to straighten my hair which i don't like. I'm from India. Recently started watching your videos. Trying to get myself a man bun. Only have, like a short pony up till now. Now, the thing about long hair on men in India is you'll find a lot of people up to a certain length and then the number drops significantly. I can count on my tips the number of times I've seen Indian guys with length half as yours. The reaction I get from people is kinda mixed. Some dont really comment anything on it. Some make fun of it. Some say "go do your thing". Hell even my parents throw a taunt or two at times (mostly playfully) but I think the trick is getting yourself to be immune to what people think about your hair. I mean its my hair. I can do whatever I want with it if its not hurting anyone. So I've made my peace with it. I want a bun so imma get it. Ain't nobody stopping me.
My biggest regret is cutting my hair bc of the job requirement, i had long hair but job needed it short. Now, it passed around 2 years and i left that job for new one, i started growing it again (i miss my long hair), 6 months for now, i have long way to go 😅

It may not make sense to some but honestly it comes down to how far a guy goes with the grooming of his hair. Luckily for men it actually looks way better when you can tell he doesn’t go extra with his grooming, if it looks a LITTLE messy and slightly out of place, women actually find it way more attractive and it just looks overall better. When guys start going to far with there hair ( flat ironing, constantly brushing, tons of product etc) that’s when it starts to looking weird and gives off the wrong look lol

Just wanted to say that since were on the topic of guys with long hair I had my first ever crush on a guy with long hair. At first it was a purely physical attraction and I thought I would get over it. But every guy in my area has a buzz cut, or very very short hair and what I look at first is hair, it can actually tell a lot about you. But it was sixth grade and he was my first crush I had on a guy. I didn’t get crushes easily and I only had one before, who was my best friend. My best friend I had a crush on knew him, and then after getting to know his personality, I fell really hard. I think longer hair makes a person more attractive, it’s my opinion mostly because no guys in my area even had a little bit of hair and I was deprived of the fluffiness of hair that I could play with. If I ever have a partner, you bet I’m gonna play with their hair and give them head massages. I still have a crush on him, since I don’t get crushes easily and I’ve only had two in my life, my love life is very hard. It’s even worse that I have social anxiety, and severe anxiety in general. But I just like long hair on both genders, platonically and romantically. I like to play with something when bored, and I’m just glad that my friends let me give them braids or just brush their hair. No one has touched or played with my hair before but at the hairdresser it always feels nice so I give other people the nice feeling of having their hair played with. But yeah, I just like fluffy and healthy hair. And I prefer longer hair, it’s a preference of mine and kind of one of my only preferences. But yeah, just a lil experience of mine.

I think depending on how the person cares for their hair, it can go either way for me. In general, I think long hair on guys looks pretty cool. Although, I CANNOT stand man buns. I personally think they look dumb. But, to each their own.
