Hi Juice, I've been using SimHaptic after dumping Hapticonnect for a couple of weeks as well and have been more than pleased! I am curious what your Buttkicker amplifier settings are in terms of volume and filters as well.
With the power on, I have 55 in the high cut off frequency 30 on the volume and the low filter cut off is not illuminated, which I think means off. Remember, everybody said he's gonna be different depending on their seat what type of contact with the floor on carpet and how sensitive their butt is… Some of us have more tush tush for the Kush
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP yea, I am still tweaking my settings. The first few times I flew with SimHaptic I had issues with my transducer powering off due to heat, so I am gathering more info about people's volume settings to inform my own tweaks. Thanks for the help and the video!
I purchased Sim Haptic to replace Hapticonnect based upon your recommendation. Sim Haptic’s default settings for the A10CII blows Hapticonnect out of the water. I anticipate only having to make minor adjustments, if any. Thanks again for the recommendation!
I've been looking at this since I sim race (single-player) and was curious how well it worked with DCS. Seeing your video has me on board now. Time to work it into my budget.
I'm gonna do a video today on what pooch shared with me on our meeting about you can fly a mission and do all the weighted profiles that you want to evaluate and then review it in the track file and adjust your settings even track your flying for you.
I was using SRS, but the haptic functionality in DCS is limited. I have downloaded SimHaptic with the 7 day trial, I think I will end up purchasing it.
I purchased my Buttkicker Plus based upon your review and I love it, but the software is awful. I’m going to purchase the Sim Haptic software today. Thanks for the review.
Somebody pointed out that they put my video on their website and didn't even even ask me or let me know. Yeah happy to connect like a lot of manufacturer software. There's always something better out there that they should just go ahead and buy.
I'm not a BK owner but I use 2x Dayton audio BST-1s. I previously had sim shakers but got fed up with endless tweaking, some things feeling a bit fake and a fair bit of desync in effects. I tried not using any telemetry software and I now love it. Have you tried This? I spilt my game sounds so I run game and headphones to my headset and a separate game sound channel with a high frequency cut off and low frequency boost. Works very well, perfect timing and as rich as whatever sound the module comes with. Some are better than others for sure but for example the Apache gun feels more as cpg than plt, because its a louder sound. Buffets and bullet hits - all perfectly in time. I really like it.
Cool to see you went also to SimHaptic like you said , I am using SimHaptic since it came out , I am using it with DCS and Flight Simulator 2020 was using a Buttkicker 2 now I have a Buttkicker Game plus . Its install on a Next Level Racing : Pro Flight Chair its works great way better then Hapticonnect :) Just wondering what you setting for Sound Volume in SimHaptic ( I think you said 30) and what is the Level for Volume from the Buttkicker Amplifier ? , For me I have Volume at 10% and Using High Cut off at 80 and Volume at 40 , can you share your setting for the Gamer Plus

Have you tried SimShaker For Aviators and the SimShaker for sound? I tried SimHaptic briefly flying helicopter. I had to uninstall SimHaptic due to an unrelated bug so couldn't give it a full test but at least using SimHaptic with default settings It just produced a constant rumble that didn't change with flight status. I can say that at least out of the box SSA and SS for sound was better for helicopter flight. I'm using an HF8 seat pad and two 50w Bass shakers with 100w Dayton Audio sub amp. I'll try reinstalling SimHaptic and modify the default settings and see if it equals or exceeds what effects I get with SSA and SS sound module. SSA is freeware and the SS for sound is 29.99 so same price as SimShaker.
I looked at some shaker for aviators and the interface looked a little busy for me, but I guess it's fine. I just never got a chance to test it before discovering SIM haptic, but I guess out of the big three that people told me about. Is that one plus the one that I just downloaded and Sim hub. But I probably will not just go out and test all of them.
For helicopters specifically, I'd recommend SSA over SimHaptic simply due to SimHaptic lacking any feedback for some of the helicopter specific stuff such as VRS.
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP For what it's worth, by the way, they did mention that VRS and ETL will be added at a later date when I asked them about it on their youtube channel.

Ok, I just flew around in my F-16 for a couple of hours after installing the trial of SimHaptic and it is 1000% better than flying without the buttkicker. I never want to fly without it. SimHaptic is a great program
I purchased SimHaptic based on this video.😊 I have a problem. SimHaptic does not recognize when I begin a flight. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. The test function works. But DCS not recognized. Any ideas?
Thanks for this information DJ! The product is very solid but the software is lacking in many ways. I am working in my garden this morning but will be testing Sim-Haptic further this afternoon in DCS with a replay trick.
You miss the point of these tools: They use telemetry from DCS to give you feedback from events, not just vibration when the sound rumbles... You can feel ETL, weapons release, touchdown, rotor movements etc. more like ForceFeedBack for your butt, instead of the hand, holding the joystick. 😊
That's a good solution and workaround, but it still uses the volume input instead of telemetry from the game for each weighted point. It's harder to dial in, but it's still a very viable option and good recommendation.
@@shagrat47 I do understand what it does and am not missing the point of anything, and I can feel all of those things through the sub that is mounted inside the base of my chair. Unfortunately, you have to go through the pain of setting it up initially to situation and preferences.
