This movie looks BEAUTIFUL! Chloé Zhao said in an interview somewhere that they allowed her to shoot a lot of this movie on location vs the green/blue screen sound stage set up that a lot of Marvel movies have. She used the same camera and rigs that she used for Nomadland. I CANNOT wait for this!
If I remember correctly, they let her do it because they consulted VFX studios who confirmed that they could still work with the movie if it didn’t use half as many tracking markers and screens, it’ll just be much harder.
I had goosebumps watching this trailer. A trailer like this is a reminder that I am so grateful to be in a world where we have these movies. I thought the first Avengers was mind blowing. Now we have Celestials. I cannot wait for what the future holds…one new movie at a time.
Chloe Zhao is just so perfect for this and I never would've asked for a much better way to capture these characters in a way other than what they did. They perfectly captured that "ethereal" kind of vibe. Absolutely fitting for these characters and the narrative. This underlying mystery lurking while simultaneously getting a colossal, immeasurably larger-than-life kind of feel.
Remember the quote from Endgame? Okoye: “There’s an earth quake in the ocean. We’re handling it by not handling it” They didn’t know it then, but they aren’t handling it because it’s a job for the Eternals!
I suspect that the event we see in this trailer (the object falling to Earth and causing the massive tidal wave) takes place in the distant past - maybe around the time the Eternals first arrive. I suspect it is the Celestial egg, embedding itself in the Earth. Believe, an event like that could not be ignored by anyone in the modern world.
Knew they were gonna go with the comic logic of why the Eternals never interfered, told people not to make jokes and just google search the reason, so glad it's all like the comic books I grew up reading, Jack Kirby's vision come to life. Also, the one holding Thena is not just any deviant, it's Kro, leader of the deviants and also was Thena's lover in the comics. She became pregnant with Kro's twins, don't know if they're gonna explore that in the MCU.
The deviant holding up Thena is Kro, the general of the Deviants. from what i gathered from the trailer the main 2 villians are Kro and Tiamut the Communicator aka the Dreaming Celestial. The Emergence event is basically the awakening of Tiamut.
Someone wrote in another video that that deviant is Thena's lover, if that's true I wonder whether Thena will change sides etc and that would be the twist or not?
Being a fan of comic books and sci fi in general it is a great time to be a nerd. We get Shang Chi next month, Dune and Venom let there be Carnage in Oct and the Eternals in November.

When Kit Harrington's Black Knight asks Circe "who ordered you to not get involved?" and it pulls back to her gazing up at Arishem the Judge of Planets..... damn. You can feel the weight of power.
I'm getting major Superman vibes from his take on Ikarus and I'm more than okay with that. Also the Celestials being active and watching after the Eternals to make sure they don't interfere? Kind of terrifying.
This feels like the Superman & Lois to the MCU’s CW. There is something truly special and out of norm( for the MCU) about everything we’ve seen so far and I can’t wait to see it in theaters.

I know the least about these characters than any MCU movie has done, and I am the most excited for this movie than any of the others I hardly knew about like Ant-man, Guardians and Cap Marvel, which i still all loved. But this one…i cant wait.
These three literally said everything that I wanted to say after watching the trailer, everything about it was so beautiful, the trailer alone already was magical now I can't wait to watch the movie.
i just coming back here after watching eternals, holy shit the grandeur of the cosmic aspect in this is so mindblowing. this reexpands again the cosmic path that we had in guardians of the galaxy
To this day, I'd still argue that Eternals is still one of Marvel's better-looking films ever. Such an eye candy of a movie, the visuals and the CGI are just pure perfection.
These action sequences rewrite superhero’s movies dude....next level vfx and cinematography! And I just about lost my mind when the celestials showed up man! Also I believe that’s Kro holding Thena? like I can remember seeing the avengers for the first time and thinking it was amazing and now we’re here😭✨
Ikaris' eye blasts looks spot-on from John Romita Jr's art. In the shot where Ikaris is pinned and blasting away, his hair looks spikey & blonde in the refection, making him look even more like John Romita Jr's Ikaris.
The Winter soldier film, and Falcon and The Winter soldier are 2 Marvel properties that not only were filmed as practically as possible, but really showed the talent that Marvel has filming wise, so hyped for this film! 🤯💯😃
I'm already going to say it. Thank you Chloe Zhao. When you give her unlimited budget from what she's use to the possibilities are endless. Trailer is already a masterpiece. This is the movie I've been waiting for since the cast was announced.
The red giant guy was Arishem the Judge, the leader of the Celestials, who judged whether a planet was worthy enough to continue existing, or if it had to be eradicated. The green giant guy was another Celestial, Jemiah the Analyzer.
In the comics, Arishem the Judge is a Celestial who was tasked with judging whether the civilization of a planet should live or die. In the comics, the leader of the Celestials was a being known as the One Above All, who bears the same name with the god of the Marvel universe.
That's the first trailer for this movie that actually got me interested, knowning nothing about Eternals and finally getting some plot. Plus the movie looks good! (of course it has to, they really need to sell this movie!)
Agree all around. This looks not only visually stunning, but the story just keeps taking on new elements that were unexpected and I'm loving all of it 🙌🙌🙌
THE EMERGENCE is TIAMUT coming forth from a celestial EGG in the ocean, that was why there was an underwater earthquake in END GAME, NOT NAMOR, a celestial being birthed due to the snap energy
I wasn't an Iron Man fan or any other Avenger (besides Super-Man) before the MCU. Kevin has found a way to make me love all the heroes he's introduced. I'm in.
Suffice it you to think: The Celestials, put a "Lock" on the Eternals, who wanted "indifference" in interference in Wars and Human Conflicts, were the Celestials, and even suffering the Eternals were Locked, because their function was specific, was to clean the Deviant Garbage.
so let me get this straight, in the MCU lore, The Snap basically, delayed The Emergence bec the amount life present powers the cosmic energy needed but then The Blip occured which then accelerated The Emergence timeframe. Hence, without Thanos, The Emergence would've happened 5 years earlier and Tiamut will arrive anyway. I was right Thanos did save the universe in its entirety for a brief period and The Avengers undid everything
@@yankeesrule587 I agree with your assessment about the sudden return of energy but Benedicts plot theory is a good one in regards to Thanos actually doing what was best for everyone. It would be way more Shakespearean for the Avengers to actually have made a mistake. Means every deed has a consequence. That's better writing IMO. Now obviously if it was the sudden energy that caused the "emergance" then Thanos didn't necessarily do anyone favors.

@@ChrsGotFourEyes true but we also have to take into account that there were 4 snaps that happened within 5 years. Thanos' first snap, the second one he did, Hulk's snap to bring everyone back and finally Tony's to end Thanos' reign.
Yo this trailer is🔥🔥I'm really excited about this and the visuals for Marvel movies are constantly changing and I like how we get new things from the same source material
Can't wait for this movie. The 3-tiered Marvel storytelling, Galactic/Global/Personal, as in Eternals & Loki/ Shang-Chi & Falcon and the Winter Soldier/ Spider-Man & WandaVision, is a great approach to widening their storytelling.
Have not seen Shang-Chi yet, but everything you have said is what I am hearing, very fresh and different and now Eternals looks very fresh and different. This new phase of Marvel is very promising!
Im glad you explained about the visuals, a lot of people didnt know Ryan Coogler wanted to shoot the last fight scene with kilmonger and BP on location, but feige said use green screen...it makes a big difference chloe did a great job.
The issue with the last fight wasn’t that it had cgi it was that they didn’t finalize the way they wanted the fight, the suits and the environment to look until a couple months before the release. The studio that worked on the cgi had less time than normally would and then they didn’t want to push the release back, understandably because it was an ideal release window. All of that culminated into what we got in the last fight, most of which was real people fighting with cgi placed over them in post. Given enough time and with the right studio you can moments where the cgi is completely unnoticed. Cap slow-mo catch of his shield next to Thor in the first avengers film for instance is a great example of this. The shield is cgi but literally no one can tell.
I’m sooo hyped because other than spiderman silver surfer & dr doom, as a kid the celestials were one of the main reasons why I got heavily hooked on marvel, they intrigued me & im glad I did because without them we actually wouldn’t have mutants humans deviants & eternals.
Correct me if I'm wrong but one of the Celestials was used in a flashback in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 by The Collector when he was explaining to Quill and the team about the power stone origins and how it was used.
The way i understand it (without spoiling anyone) they are forbidden from interfering, and it's not the kind of rule you break without consequence. Now Thanos and the Avengers managed to find and use the stones, sources(vessels, maybe) of immense cosmic energy. That might have either brought some attention, had some side-effects or worst of all, started to wake something up.
I’ve noticed some confusion about the celestial seen in this. The trailer shows Arishem the Judge, who is not the same as the one shown in Guardians by The Collector. The one in Guardians is Eson the Searcher.
The trailer was awesome, I can’t wait for what marvel has to bring in the next few years. The song has a mixed of avenger song from endgame trailer. You guys are trending congrats.
I can't remember if you guys Acknowledged this before or know but Fun fact is Thanos in the comics is a Deviant. So Maybe they mention him more than just snapping away half of humanity.
I'm so happy for the diversification from that marvel movie patter because most films so far have felt like they had the same pattern. But I hope going forward the films have no pattern between them and each is unique and feels unique.
Woke up this morning and The Eternals trailer was first one my que. after watching it all I wanted was to see heroes reforged watch along. This was next on my que 😁 great start to my day!
I think the "Emergence" referred to in this preview might be a reference to the first appearance of mutants on planet Earth. The trailer sort of makes it seem like it might be referring to the reappearance of the deviants, but the Celestials planted the seed for mutants evolution to happen so this could also be a reference to that seed finally bearing fruit. Thoughts?
This looks EPIC... Chloe is approaching Denis Villeneuve level of cinematography. This kinda footage is what I wanted from Black Panther.. but they decided to shoot everything on green screen
Ha, I saw this drop last night and immediately gave y'all a shout on Twitter that I couldn't wait to see your reactions to this! :D But ohhhh, this looks so good.
The bus-rose petal image reminded me of the 2nd Hellboy movie with the plant elemental. If del Toro's movies (Blade2, Hellboy 1 & 2, Pacific Rim) were an inspiration for some of the action sequences, they have me hooked.
I'm telling you Chloe Zhao is about to make a superhero movie unlike any other. I'm not the biggest avengers fan or superhero films but this one got me excited like Villeneuve, Cuaron, Fincher, Mendes type of films and that gave me chills.

@@bladerah but the point is Coogler wanted to be on location feige obviously told him it wasnt time for that which is why we got what we got sir
8:35 Adam is literally me at this point🤣 idk nothing about eternals but still excited for it
Black Knight: "Why didn't you guys help fight Thanos?"
Eternal, dumbed down: "It wasn't our problem."
Me: What a bunch of assholes.
Thank you for this. Love the way how you guys break things down
watching this with you guys felt like i was wayfair this with good friends! subscribed!
Strong Man of Steel vibes in this one.
The Cinematography and the visual affects look phenomenal
Woke up this morning and The Eternals trailer was first one my que. after watching it all I wanted was to see heroes reforged watch along. This was next on my que 😁 great start to my day!
Been watching all the video reactions I can get from this trailer! I want to see them react the way I reacted too.🤣🤣
I think the "Emergence" referred to in this preview might be a reference to the first appearance of mutants on planet Earth. The trailer sort of makes it seem like it might be referring to the reappearance of the deviants, but the Celestials planted the seed for mutants evolution to happen so this could also be a reference to that seed finally bearing fruit. Thoughts?
I for sure think whatever the events in this movie are, they will certainly bring us a lot closer to the introduction of mutants into the MCU.
The celestials in this trailer are Arishem the Judge (red one)... Theres also a glimpse of Nezarr the Calculator
Love your content!! Stay safe everyone ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️
I'm surprised it went from a teaser trailer to a final trailer so quick lol.
I'd love to see what Chloe Zhao can do with a live action anime
I can't wait for this movie. The teaser was okay, but now I'm even more excited.
The bus-rose petal image reminded me of the 2nd Hellboy movie with the plant elemental.
If del Toro's movies (Blade2, Hellboy 1 & 2, Pacific Rim) were an inspiration for some of the action sequences, they have me hooked.
Love the crew feels like how me and my homies are when we react to stuff.
I’m so excited for this movie!!!!!!😆🙌🏽🤙🏽👊🏽Great reaction guys keep up the good work!👊🏽🤙🏽
With Disney plus now, Marvel has a platform to properly do Inhumans, need a petition going, redo inhumans!!
I'm telling you Chloe Zhao is about to make a superhero movie unlike any other. I'm not the biggest avengers fan or superhero films but this one got me excited like Villeneuve, Cuaron, Fincher, Mendes type of films and that gave me chills.
