Tri-M Induction Ceremony - The Girl From Ipanema

This is me and my group consisting of Mia Weinberger (Vocals), Myself (Tenor Sax), Dylan Yoder (Piano), Phoenix Seevers (Drums), and Tyler Nichols (Bass) performing Stan Getz’s recording of “The Girl From Ipanema” at the 2023 Tri-M Induction Ceremony on Friday, September 22nd, 2023.
I want to thank all of my bandmates for making this performance possible, it was probably one of the most successful and definitely one of the most memorable and most enjoyable performance I have ever been a part of. So thanks so much for that!
Also I want to thank Evan Thacker for showing me this song, hands down one of my favorite jazz standards, and this performance definitely wouldn’t have happened without him showing it. Appreciate you hella man, for all the shit you have done for me.
