The most economical roadster on the planet! Obviously it’s a very budget build, however if I owned one of those, I think I would cut the tank so the top part IS the cowl, and make a tank to fit underneath from aluminium (yes, Australian spelling!). Love your videos, man 😃👍🇦🇺🦘
It sure using a ratchet strap to tow is the best idea. The webbing is probably ok but teeth on the ratchet/motor is suspect for failure. Anyway, Happy New Year, to you and the old man.

Well they always say necessity is the mother of invention. Hooking that gas tank to that cars wheel to clean out the gas tank is a classic example. Thanks for the video.
On my e28 we filled the tank with fish tank gravel and shook the hell out of it forever. Then we rinsed it with water, then gasoline. Worked great. Used that tank for another 5 years till I sold it
In order to be registered and road legal it needs at least two forwards facing headlights, even the tucker needed two normal lights in order to have it's safety third light that followed the steering.

Here's an idea that might float your head they made a balloon that's like plastic that you inflate into the tank so it's like a plastic tank but you keep the shape of the tank without going through all the cutting process
You have the welding skills Casey, why didn't you make a solid bar between the two vehicles? That would have been much safer & is a legal requirement where I live.
Quick quick question honest question why not cut a big ass square on that tank and coat it on the inside through the big ass square cut a big old square to where you could reach the whole inside of the tank and then re-will the square back on?
@@gboyforlife616 i actually did that when i put the gas cap in, that’s an aftermarket gas cap. I cut a 8”x8” hole and scraped it all clean (or so i thought) i didn’t want to cut it open again because i was worried it would warp real bad being cut and welded twice

Ya, I guess alot of people like the flat heads because it's an old cool looking engine despite not having much power. Also since it matches the car of that time period ...... I was thinking 🤔 the body would look cool with some rivets in the body panels. Like an old airplane ✈️ body. If they were actually functioning to hold parts together. As long as it doesn't have rivet overkill. That along with a lightweight removable aluminum hardtop. Why I'm telling you this I have no idea.

As another guy said, a chain is the best rust buster for fuel tanks because it's way easier to remove than a bunch of nuts. Having done half a million old motorcycle tanks, I can say that sealer kits with wash, etch, and sealant are worth the bucks!

Rat Rod definition : An old POS car that the owner does not poses the talent or finances to finish. I will be so happy when this Rat Rod and Patina craze is done with. Thankfully I am starting to see a decline of the Rat Rod. I've seen so many of these cars being driven on public roads and are extremely unsafe. This whole sub culture could vanish overnight and I wouldn't miss it for a minute. I can live with the Patina cars. As long as it's real. Not the ones with the fake paint jobs trying to imitate a natural process. Hell, I will add one more thing in my rant. Body swapped cars. Another sub culture that needs to end. Just like the Rat Rod, people are just throwing crap together that is unsafe. What happened to people that had actual talent ? The guys that could build their own chassis. They could put a big block chev into a small foreign car, have all the systems function as intended. And once the mechanical aspects were operating properly, they would finish the car with a nice quality paint job. These were the guys that took pride in their workmanship. They didn't look to social media for gratification. That's because they built cars for themselves.

I've always just put bolts or chain in the tank, threw it in the back of a truck, then drove like an idiot down a dirt road. Easy and fun!
