- The first taste of Summer in the Isle of Skye! Had the fish wake up and enjoyed a very productive session using mostly metals along with a sabiki teaser. Plenty of doubles!
The fish were hitting mostly OTD or soon after touchdown and didn't show their usual aggression and fighting prowess (Water temp still below 9C here!), also they seemed lean...
Gear used.
Rod: Tica Seha Graphite 2.7m,1/4oz-1/2oz (more like 10g-30g)
Reel: Abu Garcia Soron STX 40.

God I love up there. I had a day up there and it had to be one of the best days I've ever had in my life. It was like I was fishing in Jurassic park. The water was so alive. Basking sharks came so close I touched one of their dorsals with my rod tip! Then some minkie whales came in later on. What a place. Hopefully get up this year! I like your vidoes. I've subscribed.

I have two rods Tica Seha Graphite, and is great, but I fishing on the river Perch, Zander and Pike fish, is cool to see how this rod catch sea fish!

yeah, is too strong rod for my river, but hope I will catch good fish in the future!

+Jack Traynor I heard that theres been a couple caught but didnt get any on the day even though the rig used would appeal to them. I think they wont be too long now..
cheers for the reply pal yea ur probally right. im planning a trip up in a couple of week would you be able to advise me of any tackle shops on the island that will stock frozen baits macky sandeel ect ?
I only know of one tackle shop here in Portree and im not so sure they stock baits.. Safest bet to bring your own man.
