I always love stats like 'the chances of getting killed by a shark, are less than getting killed by ants', those stats are for the world population, not for the people swimming on aussie beachs. You're definitely more likely to be killed by a shark on bondi than ants on bondi.

probably a shark, and even though attacks are so rare and sharks are usually peaceful and harmless, test nibbles are a real risk and confrontation avoidance with wildlife is always good.
Man, I kinda wish that SoCal beaches have a shark alarm. It’s uncommon but sharks definitely still come along the West coast of the US. San Diego has them probably the most in Southern California.
