TOP spot! Silvers are a dime-a-dozen there! Usually, EVERY1 2nd fish is a silver perch there! GOOD cod area too! TRY Johnston's bend to the West. Some nice spots along that stretch, lots of sandy stretches, water is very good there, BETTER than the middle reaches!
Lucky Bugger ! I was born in Mildura lived in that area till I was 12, family at Meringa still miss it stuck down in windy Bairnsdale past 30 years back every chance I get
Thanks mate. Both Mildura and Bairnsdale are beautiful places for different reasons. So is Wangaratta where I live. I can't edit to head back to Red Cliffs.
Hi Robbie I am a Mildura fella and fish there often and the cod, yellow belly, silver's, black brem and tandanis tandanis are great to catch there hope your luck improves next time, the billabong is further in and you can also fish right at the back of the pump station 👍👍 p.s please excuse the nickname
What a beautiful morning sunrise- an early start. Always exciting to fish in new water. Love the photos and the slow mo carp jump - thanks for sharing. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Grazza
Another great video, Next time take a shotgun work's a treat on carp who think they can get away. Wentworth in NSW where the darling enters the Murray is a good spot for a fish, and Rufus river, out let from lake Victoria, also, has a lot of history
Great clip Robbie. Bought back memories. Grew up fishing and tear assin around that neck of the Murray. Caught some huge yellow belly from my favourite snag just a little up stream from where you were. 👍
It's always great to hear how happy you are to see the sun rise!! When you love what you do it makes it so much easier!! Thanks for the great footage, and from a new location too
Hi Robbie I am from Mildura but currently in Italy. awsome to see my local area and am glad your enjoying it aswell. loved the timelaps sunrise video. made me a little homesick... Enjoy Mungo..
Thank you so much mate. I hope you are enjoying my late father inlaws homeland. He was born in Naples. What an amazing area Mildura really is. We can't wait to head back. Lake Mungo was just amazing, absolutely beautiful.
I've lost count. Thanks something i haven't said to myself in a very long time. LOL. Great to be catching some fish. Great to up early in the morning while the world sleeps.
Been some big cod come out of there in the day. I lived in Mildura for 10 years and was lucky to fish a lot of the river there and some big river there as well.
What a wonderful sunrise at that spot colours vista scenery just “magic” Best time of day excellent video Don’t worry about the one that got away that happens Keep up the good work hope you had a great trip
G'day Robbie. Great video. Some lovely pictures and time-lapse. So good to see you get so many silvers. They're a beautiful fish. The same four letters that spell carp also spell crap. That's what they are. At least you redeemed yourself with the last one. 😄😄 The first time I went to Mungo NP, it was still called Mungo station. I hope you guys can drive the loop around the walls of China. Last time I was there it was closed due to work being done on the track. Wishing you all a great time away. Cheers mate.
startin to think youve a deal goin with the big man upstairs robbie, i dont think the spots you fish at are on earth mate they look heavenly!!! thanks for sharing mate
OMG how dare you unintentionally break your line and irresponsibly release that carp. You had it out of the water and now the whole world is going to come to an end. Oh come on 😳😜🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing Love your work Healthy habits
Hahaha thanks Moo Moo. It's amazing what people take seriously in life isn't it. We've got countries bombing each other and people dying of starvation and people lose it when a accidently let a carp go. Haha
We can't land them all but it not the end of the river nice little sivers did U get same good bird photos to show us next ? I got a 30 cm yellow belly in Maryborough Vic town lake Sunday night on scrub worms
Thats awesome, well done mate. We got a stack of amazing bird photos. That is such a beautoful part of the world. We shared the photos on our Facebook pages.
Thanks mate, I just love the small quiet waterways. Having said that after this fishing g trip I am keen to wet a line in the Murray River again once the rivers all settle down.
Gday Robbie, our next stop is Mildura, and I was wondering if you had any spot recommendations, looking to hopefully get onto first Muzza cod Love the vids and GREAT VID as always
Thanks so much Toby. I've only ever fished there once. I fished the Murray River behind Kings Billabong. The Billabong itself has been stocked with cod too. 👍👍
Nice little way to start a wonderful day! Oh the old freshwater jewie are great fun...I think its hilarious around the Nepean/Hawkesburry how lots folk are like stupid carp & they are bass fishing god's yet they can tell you about the dozens of 5kg+ carp they caught in the next breath lmao yeah 70-80cm 5-7kg are plentiful in the system and many larger too..

It's not quite a high river yet the weir is completely out in Mildura. The height is just about at pool level today with the weir out to allow for the big flow coming. Awesome video as always Robbie hope you had a ball at Mungo such an awesome place.
Lovely way to start the day. The water looks so smooth. Shame about the carp, it's getting harder to find a decent waterway that hasn't been invaded by carp. I absolutely hate them but they are fun to catch, especially big ones on light gear. I think bitter-sweet is the word I'm looking for. Anyway great video, thanks Robbie...
By god a lot of action but too many carp for me in that spot. I’m heading down that area in a few weeks but I’m hoping to catch some fish I can eat. Anyway good video for the fishing purists, keep up the good work 👍🏼

Hi robbie wow those fog n sunrise pics with the music had me thinking Mississippi river until the carp made an appearance awesome video mate thank you

Never see you fish much in the main murray river, always dams, lagoon, creeks etc. is this because of the current, depth, lack of fish?

i've heard carp is good to eat if you know how to clean them. I've never tried it and don't know how to clean them but that's what I heard.
Thanks mate. I've tried it a few times. Gutting and filleting them is the worst part. The taste is OK if you skin the fillets, but it is very boney.
