My 2008 Z06 has Texas Speed 64cc heads, Ragin' Racin' custom cam, and headers, and made 572 whp / 533 torque on the last dyno, naturally aspirated on 91 octane pump gas.
Cam/Heads full exhaust E-85 Zo6s make this power N/A lol
Exactly.

I'll still take my Pump Gas Heads, Cam build that put down 636whp. Love the razor sharp response of NA. Not to mention it's a bit of a sin to go FI on this motor...
The hose clamp tool. That's an interesting piece.
Yes, i saw that too

I normally just use an adjustable wrench and end up pinching the shit out of my fingers. Been doing it for years. I cuss at the clamp for being fucking piece of mother fucking shit, instead of having the right tool.

What a time back then with MTV.
Lol I can't stop seeing it now. #roadtrip vibes
A H/C/I on that LS7 could’ve made 640 whp, that’s before the supercharger. After a blower it could make 800 hp using a magnusion
That's kinda what I was thinking.. I just let it go as "I must have missed something.." Anyone besides me wondering what Edlebrock charged for those extra 90 hp? No offense to the team that put that beast together! We all got a boss!!
@@corkforbrains Just saw a C7 Z06 with an RPM Stage 3 kit that made 610 whp so you're right on the money.
C6.
Im convinced after watching this series. i could do it with no prior experience. Very well done video
Edelbrok E-force is a good kit. Instructions are okay but could be much better. Good thing they did a custom tune. The Edelbrock provided tune is so conservative that is seriously limits the power gains from the supercharger. On my 2011 GS with an Edelbrock 599 kit, my car dynoed 420 at the wheels on the Edelbrock tune. Stock is typically 385. On a custom tune, I made 520/520 hp/tq at the wheels on a Mustang dyno.
Well, they did say the Edelbrock tune would get them to the dyno.
These shows with their unlimited supply of new top shelf parts....living the dream.
Install track pads and upgraded brake system. Uses Autozone brake fluid.
🤣🤣🤣
LOL... dummy..... brake fluid is brake fluid. You can buy it from a convenience store and will be just as good as any other. Yes....really. Same with power steering fluid. No need to over spend on some big name. Spend that on something that actually matters.
@@starbattles1 you could not possibly be anymore stupid, ignorant and arrogant. There is 0.00% chance that you will listen, BUT brake fluid is the VERY FIRST place to modify your brake system. 1) fluid 2) pads 3) lines 4) rotors. The fact that you don't know this basic principal of brake system performance exposes your extreme ignorance and illusory superior arrogance.
Hint: brake fluids have a specific boiling point. Air is easily compressible. With this obviously new information, see if you can figure out why your comment was so stupid.
Zachary Morris the difference between boiling point is different in dot 3 to dot 5.1 not in brand. They all have to meet a standard to be able to be sold. Dot 3 is your basic, dot 4 is in higher end cars, and I believe dot 5 is used in motorcycles, and I forget what 5.1 is used in. But he wasn’t wrong
@@starbattles1 you're kidding right? Go do half a lap or a canyon run with that brake fluid, population control 🤦
3 years ago.. yet just making it to RUclips.. had me thinking for a second they were giving one away right now
There seem to be many experts here. We all gain from the collective knowledge. Thanks for sharing!
I like how they kept the line smoothing off to inflate the numbers.
At 5:34 it is apparent the engine was way overdue for an oil change. Sad.
For 5k and a bit more along with doing it yourself, friggin awesome. Opens up the door when you want to do cam or heads. Great job, great product.
Lap time improvement would be minimal over stock while risk of overheating and massive destruction would be greatly increased. This kit is for street car guys, not track rats.
i think ol dude needs like 5-13 more pens in his pocket
Installing an oil cooler right next to the headers...yeah, that's a GREAT IDEA!
Sad thing is I can add Advanced Induction ported heads and a B3 Cam from Racing Performance Motorsports with Long tubes and a tune and make 630-650 at the wheels!!
So your telling me that the supercharger is not doing as much as the car comes factory pushing out 440-465 range on average bone stock,
Another side note, the heads need to come off regardless because they are famous for the exhaust valve seat messing up and dropping the exhaust valve through the motor destroying it!
So no matter what the heads have to come off and get worked or that motor can and likely will fail at anytime!
So truly a bad investment but very interesting to see!
So back to my point though if I do the heads Cam package like I said and have 630 to the tires naturally with 580lbs of torque I think that far exceeds the C7 ZO6 as well and you still can add the blower for even loads of more power.
The heads Cam combo I spoke about above, stick a supercharger of your choice on with 5.5-6lbs of boost and it will make well over 800hp on pump gas all day.
I've always heard to that the siamesed cylinders on the LS7 are too thin-walled to sustain any type of forced induction. Would be interesting to hear how this build has held up in the few years since it was completed.
You fellas are geniuses, who would've tought a modded engine will make more power than a stock one, I'm impressed
Amazing how many cool mods you can do to these Corvettes. From 300 to 1200 horsepower with ease (excluding upgrading other systems), really impressive.
All that work and no cam swap? :(
They already have a pretty nice cam.
@@geeknproud321 Yea.... My 351 cleveland comes stock with a pretty nice cam. Didn't stop me from upgrading it.... Because that is what people usually do when building a motor. UPGRADE STUFF!!!! There is a big difference between a "pretty nice cam" and a Fucking Awesome cam!
Some guys use a stock C6ZR1 cam. It was designed for a similar TVS2300 and has great street manners. Still capable of plenty of power. The stock LS7 cam isn’t terrible for boost but leaves a lot on the table. I have an ECS Novi 1500 on my stock long block making 560/500 wheel @ 7.5 pounds. Still great low end torque.
With a boosted motor you can just add more boost, forget the cam and valvetrain headaches + expenses.
bat man yeah but with changing a cam you can make more power at lower boost and your engine runs safer and smoother. It’s just smart if you already are removing the engine
So around $8 grand for a supercharger to make less than 600 whp on a 7 liter V8. Still have to worry about the valve guides and the ringlands destroying the motor. Whoever is planning these builds should be fired.
Yea... $8k for 600 hp LMAO
If I sunk $8k in to boosting my cleveland (I'd go with turbo's) I'd be looking at 1500 hp and ALL supporting mods so it lasts. Partly because my heads are already built for over 1k hp right now lol. I can hit 600 hp with zero boost.
You can look up 351 clevelands that dyno at 800 hp with no boost and a 500 cfm 2 barrel. Yes 2 barrel. Makes these big ass chevy motors look so weak.
Almost as stupid as peliferating the myth of valve guides and ESPECIALLY ring lands. Ring lands DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER fail without a dog shit tune AND incorrect ring gapping.
@@starbattles1 800 horsepower...out of a 2BBL carb 351C...dude i believe it! my Camry has 600,000 horsepower stock and i put in 89 octane with a Summit racing sticker and now it pushes 900,000,000 horsepower dude bro
@@starbattles1 I doubt you make 600wheel in your 351 Cleveland unless its 14:1 compression and 720lift 285@50 duration drag cam through a stick shift. Big stalled auto will show less dyno power but be faster at track

Damn Pat, you took all 37 pens, screwdrivers, etc from you're right pocket to you're left. How about this; Take ALL out except a Pen......Thanks!
Now Sgt. Cross will be pleased with the new mods
Ohhhhhhh, this looks like a pain in the ass without a lift.
Even with a lift. This is definitely one of the more frustrating looking builds I've ever seen from any of these shows.
This build is the one that made me rethink my desire of owning a Corvette, especially when they did the transmission swap
Hell, just to get the Corvette on the lift, Mike and Pat had to use a floor jack to be able to get the lift arms under the car because of how low it sits
Decent power gains, but at the cost of adding some 300 pounds to the front end, heads and cam would have achieved this. This is a sweet car tho, thanks for the great videos
Not trying to be rude or anything but isn't 590whp kinda... Bad for a "supercharged" LS7? Some Vengeance Racing LS7s put down more than 610whp with their heads/cam setups - naturally aspirated.
Not bad for a more of a mild sc kit.505 crank hp upped to 590 whp.
@@crazyeyez1502 But kind of risky because it's a high compression engine, isn't it?
They dont care. They wont have the car for the long term
Though a stick not a big stalled auto. Big stalled auto more like 560wheel.
Ive ran powerstop in my f150. Theyre a great rotor and pad. I was towing with confidence.
Heads and cam packages make that on c6 z06. My cam and longtubes on my g8 netted 120+ to wheel no heads. RPM says those eforce roots chargers belong at the bottom of the ocean.

That spark plug gap tool though.
How much you wanna bet this tuner turned it back down after then 594 pull? Lol. Realistically, this Z06 is making around 560 whp, in the winter.
I put racing stripes on my Honda and got 500+ horsepower.
These Corvette Z06s keep changing too fast for my budget (and know how!) to keep up. I had a 2008 Z06 with 12400 miles that I was finally able to slide into back in 2014. I loved it and I added LG long tubes to the Corsa Sports and Halltech CAI it already had. I drove it a few years then just traded it on a 'completely unmodified 16 C7Z with 3800 miles. Now the C8 an C8Z are here and I once again have yesterdays 'Vette lol. They are an expensive but worthwhile play toy and I love working on my cars. I just need a 2 post lift now so I can stop using floor jacks and jack stands lol.
Great video guys. I am sure there were some that tried to make it shorter. A longer video would be even better! I had some trouble with evap and pcv hose routing. Thanks!
I’m gonna pretend they already fixed the heads lol nice job 👍
Why pretend for a problem that affects less than 1% of cars
Edlebrock superchargers suck. Rpm heads cam package lays down more power N/A
Agreed👍
That is basically true....we got 585 on our C6 Z06 without supercharging.
these ls7s arent even meant for boost. if you want a boosted setup you should start with an ls3 vette instead
thought this was going to yield 650 hp from beginning of vid
I don’t understand
2015 stock
583.42 hp 579.94 lbs.ft
Supercharged
594.25 hp 593.80 lbs.ft
A lot of money for 11 hp.
Juan A. O. Z. They’re talking about the 2015 zo6 that comes supercharged from the factory. They probably made 150hp
What a build? I am glad I watched this series.
What's next for Corvette?
Pray to god they did a valve spring and retainer job before all this. If not the person who wins is gonna be pissed at some point. It’s not a matter of if the valves fail just when.
What a Dud, that’s bolt on numbers
They should have and could have just put headers, heads and cam and made more power than a stock c7 zo6 with out adding weight and boost to an engine that has valve drop problems and thin cylinder walls which isn’t made for boost =stupid heads and cam c6 zo6 make 580-630 whp all day n/a and b/a power is faster power for power than boost. Boost needs 100+ more to run with an n/a engine . A 580 whp n/a c6zo6 will both race a 580-600 whp boosted c6 zo6. See it in Mexico and the track all the time.
In other news water is wet and sky is blue.

A procharger and a tune will do that, they are just using the wrong blower lol
These Edelbrock E-Force systems are built to be mild. They add a little fun to basically stock engines, drive feel stays just about stock and they're 50-state emissions legal. I've put a few in (including a C6 Z06 - though I tuned it to 591whp without headers). The LS7 with a "better" supercharger, like a ProCharger, will put out hundreds more at the wheels.
Turbos civics, have wrecked many 5.slows..little jealousy I think.
Stock coyotes making that power never last the long haul of daily abuse. Now a built coyote will
Wow!!! Super sweet tune dood... I guess the secrets out on why Anti-venoms outta business 👀
Riverviewdude such an ugly dyno graph
Bid deal- A good LS3 can make as much power for a lot less.
I know being sponsored by Edlebrock is why you have to do this, but installing a blower that will make some real hp would be the way to go to showcase the potential of that plate form. Heads, cam, intake alone will net you more power than that blower. Doesn’t really do the Z06 must justice.
Look at the color of that oil ...
Umm am I the only one that sees a issue with the oil cooler 1in from the exhaust manifold???
Hahaha boom!
It is a plate and frame oil cooler that is cooled by the engine coolant. It also helps get the oil up to temp much faster and helps with cooling the oil once up to temp. 1 inch of clearance is more than enough. A very similar cooler is stock on the C6 ZR1's and they do not have any problems.
That Corvette with that supercharger deserves the ZR1 Hood with the window on it
Makes more power, but the C7 has so much more!
SWEET! BUILD
I'd rather go H,C,I than do this... it's cool but the added 100lbs on the front end might upset the balance a lil bit.. I'm no snob but I'd rather not deal with the headache.
I'm really surprised they didn't put a cam in or atlest up grade the valve springs and retainers. The ls7 is notorious for dropping valves.
9:18 isn't that just asking for trouble with the water pump wiring harness? No protection for the two wires, seems like it'll be really easy for them to get damaged or something to cause a short...
I have 161 lb/hr injectors I’m guessing the supercharger doesn’t need huge injectors to make power.
ive never seen an MSD bolted directly to the intake as most engines ive seen have heads right where the MSD would wind up
put the seat belt through the steering wheel instead of tying it to the side mirror
That’s not a lot I’m not being ass home at all or not trying to be but Fran at RPM they do heads cam headers and make 700+
Put a blower cam you’ll make a reliable extra 50 hp
Great vid..It just came across my feed..Question though, I didnt hear yall mention clutch break in before car was on dyno?
Stacy DAVID was a bad dude miss that guy on there

Jeeeeeez....Next step, remove engine and buy a hotdog
Full exhaust with headers, cold air, and an MSD intake and boom....you'll pull c7z's without the heat soak.
Close contender lol.. a bolt on and tuned c6z will beat a stock c7z
Really? Did you just compare a tuned Corvette to a Stock one? Did you just really do that? Just stop, breathe and think about that for a second before doing the knee jerk reactive insult in response to my query.
Josh Goode what do you think they’re doing? Comparing their Supercharged C6z to a built c7z? No they’re comparing what they built to a stock c7z.. Stop trying to be cool
Agreed (and I have both - 2010 and 2017). I have nearly this exact setup on my 2010, my daily driver, and it's definitely faster than my 2017. Not much more power on the dyno (about 12hp and nearly even on torque) but my C6 weighs about 400lbs. less than the C7. BTW, both are manuals. Stay safe everyone. Cheers.
Need a rock crawler to go through that graph.
That oil cooler is going to leak says my SS 😎.
If I'm not mistaken this motor makes 500hp stock so all this work for maybe a 100hp gain.
its Whp... so about 200hp gain at engine
So I guess they didn't want to go the head and cam route...... Same power but naturally aspirated 🙄
Seems like more work and money the way they did it when other shops just do FBO and H/C to make more than this for less money...
