I have just watched ‘All the Light We Cannot See’ too! It was great. I cried at the end when everyone was so excited to see our American soldiers arrive. I’m not sure that the world still has that opinion of the USA. So sad. So grateful that you are doing well, Diane!
Wonderful to see you two again, and that you are recovering well Diana. Love your hair Katy, before and after your haircut! Someday I will participate in a sweater KAL with you, the timing hasn’t ever been right for me. God bless you both.
So happy to see you! With having the holidays and work am having to watch you in pieces! Love all your projects! So glad you are doing well! Answered prayers!
So happy to see you both! Sending wishes for continued healing Diana. Kaity I love your haircut. Always enjoy seeing your projects. I finished my ranunculus for my daughter ( Christmas surprise) and I’m also starting a red one. I can’t wait! I love that sweater! Happy Thanksgiving!!
I always enjoy your sweet podcasts!! Diana, I pray for your continued recovery and a healthy 2024!! Kaity, I love your Lyon sweater!! And, your haircut looks great! I have not done jogless stripes--I usually just live with them as they are. Diana, your granddaughter's sweater is adorable, and Kaity, that pink!! Wow!! How lovely that your kids want you to knit for them. I have to limit myself to 2 projects or I get overwhelmed. I am making a sweater and a shawl at the moment. I LOVE All the Light We Cannot See!! It is one of my all-time favorite books. I also enjoyed the Netflix series, but the book was so much better to me--more suspenseful. Have a most blessed Thanksgiving!!
Ladies, so happy to see you again. I have missed you guys! Diana, so thankful that things are on the up and up for you. Katie, love your new “do”! New hair cuts are so fun. Enjoyed your podcast. Thank you for sharing your time to teach and guide me in my knitting. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm working on Christmas socks for my 5 grandchildren. Thankfully they are still small. Working on sock #8 so I'm getting ❤there. I have the pattern for the Violeta sweater. I'm getting the yarn on Saturday. Love all your knitting and ❤that pink. Have a wonderful week.
That hot pink yarn is what my Grandson picked out for a sweater. lol! He wants The Christopher Robin Jacket in Hot pink with Black buttons and pocket flaps. So, that is what I’m knitting him. (He’s 3 and I hope he doesn’t out grow it before I finish it).
You ladies should check out the free pattern Mini Gansey Sweater through Jimmy Beans wool. It is adorable and looks like an interesting knit for one of your littles. I LOVE your podcast!
Lovely to see you both again- please take care of yourself Diane during the busy times ahead and continue to recover ❤. Your hair and jumper look lovely Kaity, congratulations on a wonderful finish! 🌸🌸
I’m always happy when I see a new podcast from you two. You are both amazing knitters and I love seeing your yarn choices and your projects. Please have a wonderful Thanksgiving ❤
Another great podcast! So many great projects and inspiration! FYI the TO as in EweknitTO stands for Toronto - T.O. is like a short form or nickname for the city.
Oh my goodness! I don't recall hearing you say where in Kentucky you live. I have a niece who lives in Nicholasville. She is a photographer at Taylor Made Farms.
I’m with you on the bottom up sweaters. I think the problem is a bottom up sweater starts with a long slog of knitting a tube with not much else happening. With a top down, even with simple stockinette, you’re still seeing a sweater shape emerge which is exciting.
Hi I knit my great grandsons each a flax and found the neck opening was too wide so I picked up stitches around the top and added a bit more ribbon and that really helped if I make another I will cast on less stitches for the neck ribbing. … just thought I would share that with you. I enjoyed your podcast once again.
Thank you so much Marnie for the heads up. I had to rip out my first sweater attempt. My second attempt I downloaded a pattern update and they had two collar options one you skip the collar and add it on later so that you can adjust the width so that is what I’m going with, I’ll let you know how that turns out. ~Diana ❤
Did you know that the woman who played the part of the girl in All The Light We Cannot See is actually blind? Also, she is not an actress. Or at least was not before this part. I still need to read the book. I enjoyed the Netflix version of the story.
I saw an interview with the young lady who played Marie, she was lovely and did an amazing job for her first role. I’m starting the book again and I also got the audio so that I can listen while I knit.😊❤~Diana
Hello Ladies So Good to see you both. You’re looking Well Diana, So Pleased your Surgery went well. Love your hair Kaity. Another Enjoyable podcast, love all your knits. Take Care xx❤❤
I so love watching you too. I love your bold and strong faith that you unapologetically share with us. Diana - your large flower knitting bags are so lovely. A reflection of you. I hope you both have a lovely Thanksgiving with your family. Feel better soon Diana. Cheers from the 🧶 🐱.
I am so glad that your surgery went well and wishing you a speedy recovery, Happy Thanksgiving to both of you and your families, have a lovely day xx☘☘☘
Glad your surgery went well and you are into your recovery. Also glad to hear your mom is feeling better too. Love your new haircut Kaity. I loved the book All the Light We Cannot See. Your mention of it makes me want to re-read it. Thanks for the heads up on the series. I love the start of your headband Kaity. I’m not much of a hat wearer so a headband would be a perfect project. Love you two together. As always wonderful FO’s and WIP’S. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Thank you for mentioning the Netflix program. I also watched "All The Light You Cannot See'" and read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband loved them both as well. I love all your projects. Hoping to do some fun knitting in the new year. At the moment it's all about the Christmas gifts for me. The shawl by Susan B Anderson is stunning! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
Hello ladies, just wanted to drop a line to say how much I enjoy your podcasts! Beautiful FOs, lovely chats I am here for it all. Happy Thanksgiving! 🥰🇨🇦
So happy your surgery went well and you are on the mend. More prayers for that. Kaity, your hair is adorable.. love it! I love your discussions over techniques.. Really great. Your sweater look wonderful, Kaity!! the little heart sweater.. so, so cute! Everything was so amazing, thanks for a great video. you 2 are a treasure. Happy Thanksgiving with love, hugs, prayers.
Pretty Christmas socks! I have that same yarn on hold at my LYS. WYS candy cane ;) it’s pretty! Love all of your finished objects and wips. You both are such an inspiration ❤
Happy Thanksgiving Kaity and Diana and families. Good news on your surgery Diana. I'm sure you are glad that is behind you. Very lovely knits by both of you as always. I am almost finished with my Ranunculus. Just have to try it on and see how the sleeve length is looking. I think I can knit a few more inches and make it a 3/4 length sleeve. Thanks for the KAL. It made me finally knit my first Ranunculus.
I always second guess myself with the names of the Greek muses because there’s the correct way to say them and then New Orleans came up with COMPLETELY different pronunciations. Calliope St is Callie-OPE. 😂 I’d love to knit socks for my niece who will be 2 in Feb. Do you have any sock pattern recommendations for toddlers? My 9 year old is in small adult sizes and I didn’t knit socks when she was a baby!
Andrea Mowry has the DRK Everyday sock pattern that has sizes for baby to adult. I’ll ask Katy what pattern she has been using for here daughter on the nice podcast…..if I can remember. 😂~Diana
So glad you’re doing well in your recovery, Diana! I have that same Christmas project bag and also have Christmas socks in mine. I’m curious how you do your heels on 9 inch circulars- I typically do afterthought but would love a quicker method. Kaity, your hair looks so cute. I do the same jogless stripe method as you, but no idea if it’s correct 😂
I use double points or magic loop for the heal flap and the toes. I tried using the 9” and it was extremely fiddly. I haven’t tried the afterthought heal but I’ve used it before so I might give it a try. ~Diana
I just love you two, and I pray for you each day, Diane!! I have a question: I’m knitting a red Ranunculus just like yours and in same yarn! Do you soak it and then block- or how are you. Locking this sweater? Thanks sooo ❤ much for letting me know! Gosh bless you and all in your family!! Angela from Virginia (but I was born in Kentucky!)
Hi Angela, Thank you so much for the sweet comments. I did soak my sweater in a little wool wash. When it was finished soaking I held the sweater against the side of the little tub I sock it in while I drained it because it is very heavy at this point and I didn’t want to stretch it out. I then gently placed it in a lingerie bag and spun it in my washing machine. When it was finished spinning I removed it of the bag and placed it on my drying mats and laid it out to the appropriate size. I hope this helps. ~Diana
@@thefruitfulhands thanks so much! That’s what I do with all my wool sweaters, but have never knit a purely alpaca sweater so wanted to know if you followed the same procedure. Prayers continue for your complete healing! ❤️🩹

I believe the TO at the end of EWEKNIT stands for Toronto, the city in which the shop is located.
So happy to see you! With having the holidays and work am having to watch you in pieces! Love all your projects! So glad you are doing well! Answered prayers!
Thanks for another great episode!! Love watching you both!!
Lovely to spend some time with you ladies today… be blessed xx

That bright pink is amazing. I may need a sweater in that. 🧶❤️
I really enjoyed this episode! I live in east central Indiana, and have a good friend in Lexington...maybe we'll meet someday. All the best...❤🧶
Susan, I would love to meet up someday! ❤Diana I’m sure Kaity would too!
I’m with Katie on the jogless stripes. The video I watched said to knit around and then slip a stitch with the old color.
Love your hair Kaity! Happy Turkey Day to both of you and your family!
Happy Thanksgiving you two.
Fab video as always 😊
Patty Lyons has some great tutorials on joggless stripes for single and multiple stripes

Yes!! It is the sweetest!! - Kaity

What Kaity did in her jogless stripe is the method Very Pink Knits shows in a tutorial video. It is the stitch below.
