  • I'm replacing the stabilizer links/coupling rods in my Porsche 981 because they're making a noise after hitting pot holes or bumps. I looked at them last week and the rubber seals were broken and the new ones came in today so I'll be installing them. The install was relatively easy and I had no issues doing links for the first time, especially on a Porsche. I'm hoping this will be helpful if you're trying to determine what's causing the noise or whether you should attempt this yourself. Please like and subscribe! Thanks!

WD-40 is NOT what you want to put on the moving joints. It will dry out the rubber and bushings and destroy them over time. You want to put something like silicone grease instead.

Did you get rattling sounds only on uneven roads, bumbs, etc... at only low speeds 15-30 mph? Great diy video

Thank you! Yes the sounds were very clear and louder at slower speeds between 10-35 mph.

Did it get rid of the noise!? Or something else was the culprit?

It got rid of the noise, definitely the culprit.
