Really great table from a very skillful craftsman which shows off your epic Dwarven set to its best. I could just see a mean old dragon sitting on top of one of those piles of gold daring anyone to take it!

I love hexagonal tables. 5 players plus DM is my ideal group size and a hexagon gives everyone a nice area to occupy without feeling squashed in and everyone has a nice clear view. Plus its a nice little nod to the d20.
This table is so cool. I'd love to have one for my game group......though I'd probably have the symbols on each player's table be removable so I can change it out to fit the player's character class as an added treat.
Wow man, I have to say that having stumbled upon your series you managed to bring out the little kid in me! And that's something that's hard to do with someone who deals with PTSD from various forms of childhood abuse. I look forward to watching your videos because there's just such enjoyment, passion, and a sense of "belonging" somewhere. Hi Neil, I appreciate you sharing that with me and the community. It definitely inspires me to push my creative boundaries. Thanks for the kind words on the video and as far as the montage at the end, check out my other 2 EPIC builds. I have similar style endings :) Take care.
I am completely in awe of the detail on the table and all of the Dwarven terrain pieces! I have loved and enjoyed your whole Dwarven terrain series; please be inspired to try my hand at the same techniques. However, most of the mapping tile surfaces are use are done on a hexagon tile system, which makes it very difficult to be able to come up with the same aesthetics. As for any other Dwarven builds, perhaps a smelting chamber, with large melting pot for steel and gold. Or even maybe a throne room or great hall, in which Dwarven lords either dined or convened for battles with their enemies.
Some armor pieces would have looked awesome scattered in the gold piles. I play Neverwinter DnD, I always thought the dwarven armor looked pretty cool.
Been following a few tabletop gaming channels for a while and it's definitely the best community on youtube ... Fun, creative and all-round cool fuckin people😂 The end product turned out great. Seeing all the individual builds coming together is pretty awesome!
For my part, please extend our thanks to Scott for as well. Was good to have additional information on his inspirations as well as his table build. Like usual: Super how it all turned out. The table is really well done. Probably the best I have ever seen. The details in what you made are super too. This is a collaboration I would love to see again. It just turns out so cool. As for other ideas: The ovens in which they melt gold (together with the transport belts); Perhaps a smitty where they make the molds that are to be cast; A big throne; A grotto that ends up there that suggests the back door of the lonely mountain.
Epic build is EPIC! That game table is next level for sure (I love all the little details, some of which I've never seen on other tables before). And, well, the dwarven burial chamber is also EPIC. The spiral stairs were awesome looking. Loved all those piles and piles of gold. Really good stuff there again! As for coming back to add to the Dwarf Set: FORGE! Ya gotta build that forge! :D
Thanks! I've improved the design of the Tower and Inventory shelf a lot since picking up a Laser, which just opens up all kinds of new options....if you are interested you can see them on my IG @paladinwoodworkingmaine. thx!

Since I am a fairly new viewer I just gotta say that THIS was by far one of the best videos you've put out there! Really well done! Glad I'm here.
The moment I saw your Ring Of Mana (7:19) I was soooo carried away in my mind I had to rewind the video again so I could continue to listen to your explanation lol! looks great, very cool build, that guys gaming table is awesome! Thinking about modding an 5 dollar IKEA table to recreate it using spit and toilet paper.....LOL

It was modular, so I could break it all down... but it still filled up several large boxes even so. Question is... where do you store all of these epic builds upon completion? Mate, that is one sweeeeet build, and that table is next level! How do you top a build like that? Why, you build an outhouse toilet of doom! 😉 amazing vid, thank you for sharing!
That is a spectacular table, but one observation/question. If the turntable is not lined up with the hexagonal recess and the table gets lowered, is there anything to prevent it from being damaged by impacting the sides? This is one of the most innovative and ambitious table designs I've ever seen. Knocked it out of the park, bud.
Thanks so much Jarl! Excellent question and something I had to consider early on as I was trying to figure out how to make the lifting mechanism. Those linear actuators are very simple but surprisingly strong and you are 100% correct, if the hex surface (let’s call it the logo panel because I don’t have a better name) is rotated and not in line with the opening, when you retract it, if the actuator continues to pull down it would easily snap the logo panel in half as it tried to force it into the opening. The solution I came up with was pretty simple. The actuator top isn’t actually connected to the logo panel. The top of the actuator is held vertical by surrounding it with 4 pieces of wood, so basically it can push the panel up but will freely pull away from the panel on the way down if the panel isn’t aligned properly to the opening so nothing gets damaged. In this case I just need to rotate the panel and reset everything and it’s good to go. Not sure how well I explained that but let me know if you still have questions!
@@scottismail6311 Got it, and that does seem to be the most logical and simple solution. Without getting into some ridiculously complex alignment mechanism. Brilliant table. I will likely steal some of your ideas when I build my own.
It’s already got one! The entire base that raises and lowers can spin around on basically lazy Susan hardware. This was so if someone’s view was blocked by terrain, etc, I can rotate the field so the player can see.
Thank you Tim! What was the motor and lifting mechanism used on that epic table? Thanks for the added link to the gold piles. You both are redonkulus in talent. Great team work. For addition to the dwarven series,a waterfall hidden entrance or secret escape.

Are you going to add something like a lazy susan to the bottom of your frame, Let the players and DM spin it around on the table?
lol a lazy susan.... Scott?
It’s already got one! The entire base that raises and lowers can spin around on basically lazy Susan hardware. This was so if someone’s view was blocked by terrain, etc, I can rotate the field so the player can see.
Thank you Tim! What was the motor and lifting mechanism used on that epic table? Thanks for the added link to the gold piles. You both are redonkulus in talent. Great team work. For addition to the dwarven series,a waterfall hidden entrance or secret escape.
The table uses a linear actuator for the lifting mechanism.
@@scottismail6311 thank you so much. It is so stunning and a work of art.
Thanks Kenneth, cool idea for a build.
