The jeep is the best. I have a TJ & a Ten yr Annn Rubicon. But!!! These conditions are EXACTLY what "this" TJ was built for! A jK would not have done as well as some of these rigs especially the TJ. Turning radius, tires, wheel base & driver made this Jeep prevail 😉!!!

Defenders are always the best ,people just make fun of it thinking it to be a crap British car ! But something which is British is always cool ! McLaren,radical,lotus ,Aston Martin,all are British car makers and have won the history of racing ! Now have to even respect the defender! But my preference is always that Nissan patrol when there is a zombie apocalypse!
Yes they do. The wrangler tj rubicon came with front and rear lockers from the factory and the jk rubicon comes with front and rear lockers from the factory.
Jack Hobbs No they are still shit. I used to have them intill i realised how useless they are. Defenders have never been fitted with axle diff locks and there suspension is shit. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Oliver Standen What one was it? because the tables are turned on my side we had a jeep wrangler and it was shit so we got a defender and we've had it for 10 years and it's done 92'000 miles. With no issue.
+Jack Hobbs 1998 v8 50th anniversary defender 90. looked great but was shit off road. take the anti roll bars/sway bars off of a land rover and it doesn't make that much difference. take the anti roll bars/sway bars off of an solid axle jeep abd they transform into a completely different animal. And no the tables have not turned! range rovers have used shitty front radius arms since 1970 and defenders use the same system. jeeps use 4 link suspension front and rear which makes the superior to the shit land rovers front radius arms. leaf sprung jeep wrangler yj's where absolute shit if they still had the anti roll bars and panhard rods still fitted. take all that crap off of them and yet again they come alive.
With the level of modifications of the jeep ,I guess the Land Rover would be better! I'm not saying that the jeep sucks too,but what I mean to say is that the defender should not be underestimated,which is done by most people !
this is not a true refection on the vehicles capability. driven by a knob will always result in poor performance. driver: get out and look. then commit.
tyre pressure makes a massive difference. they are all great offroad vehicles. live axle cojl springs. But you can clearly see the jeep has it right.

the wrangler is just shorter, thats why it did it faster, g and defender are longer so they had to maneuver a lot more

Rubicon models come with factory lockers.It is also an option on other jk models sold in the us.
