Classic 80's hair metal. I was in high school when Vixen proved that girls could rock just like boys. I can't help but sing along every time I hear this song.
Classic 80’s goodness here. You can almost smell the hair products.
I don't think the ozone layer has recovered yet.
Love the video! Vixen's one of my favorites from their era. If it hasn't been suggested yet, "Metal Queen" by Lee Aaron is a great song.
Love this song, love Vixen. RIP Janice.
Good eye. Yes that was Richard Marx. He helped write this song.
Along with Fee Waybill from The Tubes
I really appreciate this reaction. I started to watch another one and it was all men talking about their clothes and hair and didn’t even seem to be listening. This band was considered a one hit wonder but they were groundbreaking. They were an all female band in a hair metal genre that glorified toxic masculinity so breaking through that at all was impressive. Love this band and was really fun to see this
Vixen fits my definition of a hairband for sure. Angela, the picture of them you put on screen made me think of a similar picture I've seen of The Bangles!
For a boy who was going through puberty in the mid/late 80's, Vixen was hot! And they can rock! Still like them to this day in 2024! Great reaction!
I remember seeing Vixen at a local club in Killeen Texas in 84 or 85. I developed a crush for the drummer. If I remember correctly her name is Roxy Petruci.
Awesome band, they ended up having about 6 songs that charted, other good ones you should check out are: 'Love is a Killer', 'How Much Love', 'Cryin', 'Love Made Me' ☮
I saw them when I was in the Air Force stationed in Germany at that time. They rocked....very good band.
OMG these women was absolutely gorgeous. Loved watching their videos.
I have not heard this song since the 80s! Thank you for playing this tune! ❤
Bring back bands like that!!!❤❤❤❤
Absolutely 💯 fire
These ladies could bring it 😍 😅
All started with the Runaways...Lita Ford , Joan Jet, Cherie Currie, Jackie Fox, and Michael Steele
Lita Ford and Joan Jet went on their own and found success ... Michael Steele joined and found success wirth the Bangles.
Yes it was Richard Marx. also the band Poison was there as well who often toured with Vixen.
Saw Vixen with Write Lion and Ozzy. They killed it live!!!
I stole this cassette when I was a teenager 🤗
Richard Marx wrote that song.
Lead guitarist passed from cancer. She was amazing.
You should listen to " Cryin"...awesome song. They are still touring
I wore that tape - and then the CD - out.
Thank you so much day one
The 80’s, big hair, big show, BIG MUSIC HITS! I love it. A time before divisive social media, and asinine political vitriol. Please bring me back.
❤❤❤❤ hello from Missouri
Angelfish fun fact the lead singer of Garbage Shirley Manson was in a band once called Angelfish
Love this song. Should have been a bigger hit than it was.
As someone who group up in the 80s the " hairbands " weren't only great rock bands but formed a whole culture of sex, drugs and rock n roll nothing to be matched since then. Great job 💯
RIP Jan
An empowerment song for women of the time who had partners that weren't being the best that they could be for the relationship to survive.
Yes, Richard Marx & Rikki Rocket ( Poison) .
They had other hits ! Cryin , How much love etc
Requesting britney fox girls school
Yes Richard Marx wrote this along with the singer from the Tubes. Check out Crying and How much love
It's a bit like Waiting for the big one by Femme Fatale
Doro pesch and warlock are a must. All we are and her version of white wedding is better than billy idols. Also Saraya. Love has taken its toll and Chrissy Steele. Love you til it hurts
Hi - new subscriber here. Would love to get your reaction to a couple of songs by Blood, Sweat and Tears: "Lucretia McEvil" and/or "Go Down Gamblin'". Thanks!
Richard Marx co-wrote the song and produced it.
If you're interested in hair metal with female vocals, there's a band that came in right at the end of that era called Saraya. You could check out 'Back to The Bullet' or 'Healing Touch'. Unfortunately they were probably too late to the game to be successful as everyone was moving more towards alt/grunge/speed. But Sandi Saraya's voice is something else
