Miles had no such qualms. Second, he was running, they were chasing. While Spider-Man is very strong, their powers really shine in basically every aspect of speed and dexterity. The fact that he was being pursued also meant that his spidey sense would alert him to the attacks of the other Spiders, allowing him to evade them with as much ease as he would any villain's. Third, Spider-Man kind of specializes in 1-v-oodles. While they can certainly adapt to working in a group, it takes a while, and their particular fighting style is definitely more suited to solo. This meant that, during the chase, the Spider Society was essentially tripping over each other and themselves by pursuing their quarry as they would working solo. If you'll notice, the only "fair fights" are 1-v-1, and Miles quickly escapes once another Spider shows up to "help". So, it’s Miles in Spider-Man's element, spidey sense going full blast, only pulling his punches enough to avoid sending his pursuers into critical care, versus a group of a hundred lone wolves/loose cannons almost not failing at working as a team. How did Miguel expect this to end up?
And alot of them weren't taking this seriously. Spider cowboy wanting an old stule dual, Spidergirl with crutches complimentjng him, Metro spider saying "my bad everyone" and being super chill, a decent amount of them that were eating or working out instead of going to chase Miles immediately, instead of trying to web him up immediately they were more so just enjoying themselves

If Peter B is supposed to represent our 616 Original Spider-Man, I do like how this scene shows his experience over the others. He was able to outpace and predict where Miles would go and was the only one who could truly catch him, if he really wanted.
Noticed something funny in the cafeteria: At 0:53 there are 13 frames after Miles stepped on the burger, where another Spider-Man is saving his hotdog and at 0:56 the pizza box, that he throws at Spider-Monkey is also filled with hot dogs instead of pizza. Kudos to the animators for slipping in those subtle but funny extrasö
One issue I did have with this movie is that because there are so many characters, a lot of the Spider-People had to be dumbed to take the roles of side characters, besides that everything else was amazing.
The Spider-people work better on defensive rather than offensive, because of spider sense and whatnot. It has also been said they don't really work as a team, they get all clumsy and just don't work.
All valid points… I definitely did not like how they depicted Scarlet Spider, in particular. Like, they could’ve used another Spider-Man as comic relief, he was not it.
@@SteamGrace Or… it could be just understanding the characters at that particular moment in time. The Spider Society believed Miles was a mistake and a kid who never meant to be Spider-Man. It’s completely understandable for them to underestimate him. Not to mention, Miguel was losing his cool the more that chase went on. Even the most rational people have made mistakes when they become blinded by emotion and frustration. Only people who focus on plot think it’s bad writing, and that’s just my honest opinion. Cause if you actually understand characters, then one can see how Miles actually was able to get the better of more seasoned Spider-Men.
0:51 Miles: Who are you? Black Spider: You stepped on my burger, bro!! Miles: Wha-What? Black Spider: You ruined my entire lunch! And now, I am going to take away your entire family.
I saw this movie 5 times in the theater (here in Japan), and at 3:04, his line was different. In the theater version, he said, "This is a sleeper hold. I'm using my bicep to..." (something else). Also, in the streaming version (and probably on home video), I noticed that they cut the line, "I'm sorry, man; I'm going home" Miles says to Miguel before blasting him. They also cut another line from earlier in the film where Miles is fighting The Spot in the bodega and says, "This job is so stupid sometimes." I want to know if it's a localization thing or what.
Its not localisation - the movie has a BUNCH of lines and scenes that are slightly different in different locations, showings, services, etc. Like when Jeff Davies falls through a Spot hole with Miles and Spot, one version has a brief flash of him staring shocked, the other stretches it out to show what hes looking at.
I'm going to be honest miles escaping the entire spider Force armies in the entire spider Society armies was a true badass amazing chase scene she's soloed everyone all the Spider-Man and Spider-Woman could not even catch this man and had one hell of a time keeping up with him
Technically, one did. Peter B. because he had the experience and despite being goofy at times, he is dangerous when he wants to be, able to contemplate Miles' movements beforehand. The only reason Miles was able to continue was because he wasn't trying to capture him. He only wanted to talk. Had he been less sympathetic, Miles would have been webbed up and secured easily. It's an underrated moment for Peter but it shows off his tactics of being one of the few if only Spider-Man who would have a chance against Miles or even Miguel if he actually tried.

“AY COÑO” that’s actually a curse word in spanish, they got away with it lmao
Right?! That is crazy. Aside from Miles saying “damn”, what Miguel said was so unexpected. 😅
What does this word means in Spanish?
@@samyb4566”Ah damn it” is sort of what it means, not sure how it works if directly translated
@@samyb4566 it means a lot of things, it’s used both in Spain and Latin America
depending on the context it could mean something like “for f*ck’s sake”, when used at the end of a sentence it could mean something like “damn it”, or it’s another word for p*ssy
@@samyb4566it means "oh f*ck!"
Miguel: You're so FRUST-
I can't be the only one💀
To think Miles didn't bother running from Peter cause he knew Peter wouldn't try anything.
He even ran from Gwen.
To be fair Gwen grabbed him in a very open space when Miguel and Jessica were in very close proximity, Peter pulled him up into a hidden, enclosed chamber where there’d be a lot of places to hide or escape
That’s because he was the only one that wasn’t trying to attack him.
@@Bananana-105
Still, anyone in Miles shoes would think that it might be a way to trick him, he would be valid to think so. He was even wary of Gwen doing it.
¡AY COÑO! MILES, MILES MORALES
Well say that next time Webhead.
@@thatsmyq52😂.
In a whole police chase and out of nowhere “just hold the baby”😂😂
The Spider-Man at 2:01 fighting for its life always gets me 😂😭
I just noticed a few parts of this scene has been changed! Ben's line when trying to sleeper hold Miles and Peter telling Miles to hold Mayday at a different screen angle.
There were a couple of theatrical release variants, there's one including Lyla in the Guggenheim!
I just noticed some changes in the music too
3:31 after an encounter with a T-Rex with spider powers I'd concede his point
I love the countless confused "you?" "you?" "him?" and "ME??"😭
2:15 jump, scare two :)
Miles truly is best boy like evading an army of Spider people while having MANNERS? He stepped on a dude's burger and apologized mid chase😢BEST BOI
at 2:22 all of the spider people in the background are frozen
They frozen in shock due to the fact there is a way to run... 😂
0:05. When you don't specify enough the first time.
0:51 imagine getting invited to Spider-Society and your job is making burgers
If Peter B is supposed to represent our 616 Original Spider-Man, I do like how this scene shows his experience over the others. He was able to outpace and predict where Miles would go and was the only one who could truly catch him, if he really wanted.
Yes and not.
They retconned Peter B.'s universe as 616B, an adyacent because of how different things went for him (May dying, being a father, etc).
@@uncannydcmarvelous5732to tell the truth I think of him as renew your vows Spiderman who is also 616
Noticed something funny in the cafeteria: At 0:53 there are 13 frames after Miles stepped on the burger, where another Spider-Man is saving his hotdog and at 0:56 the pizza box, that he throws at Spider-Monkey is also filled with hot dogs instead of pizza. Kudos to the animators for slipping in those subtle but funny extrasö
They even had a Spider-Man plushie chasing Miles 😂😂
I cannot unhear "Miles the BLWACK one"
It’s crazy how the “mistake” outsmarted so many veteran Spider-people… 🤦🏾♂️
One issue I did have with this movie is that because there are so many characters, a lot of the Spider-People had to be dumbed to take the roles of side characters, besides that everything else was amazing.
It's just bad writing.
Anybody else noticed the song had a sort of siren sound-effect used for the background which is a cool detail if you ask me
0:51
Miles: Who are you?
Black Spider: You stepped on my burger, bro!!
Miles: Wha-What?
Black Spider: You ruined my entire lunch! And now, I am going to take away your entire family.
The Bagel effect. The Burger effect

1:08 if you watch in 0.25 speed you can see that manga verse spider-man was throwing Shuriken at Miles
There’s multiple versions of the movie with changed and/or removed lines
Its not localisation - the movie has a BUNCH of lines and scenes that are slightly different in different locations, showings, services, etc. Like when Jeff Davies falls through a Spot hole with Miles and Spot, one version has a brief flash of him staring shocked, the other stretches it out to show what hes looking at.
Fun fact:
One of the directors is Joaquim dos Santos
He directed some episodes of both "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "Legend of Korra"
Dude has directed or been a part of some of my favorite child hood shows.
Yep that tracks.
0:59: Idk why I find the scene very hilarious at first sight 😂

I love how Peter used his fricking bathrobe to glide
1:44 What is he saying? "Ooh dang I broke something."?
He got too old for this bullshit ^^ 👴🏻😆

Bro his so huge
I'm going to be honest miles escaping the entire spider Force armies in the entire spider Society armies was a true badass amazing chase scene she's soloed everyone all the Spider-Man and Spider-Woman could not even catch this man and had one hell of a time keeping up with him
Brotha can run
Technically, one did. Peter B. because he had the experience and despite being goofy at times, he is dangerous when he wants to be, able to contemplate Miles' movements beforehand. The only reason Miles was able to continue was because he wasn't trying to capture him. He only wanted to talk. Had he been less sympathetic, Miles would have been webbed up and secured easily. It's an underrated moment for Peter but it shows off his tactics of being one of the few if only Spider-Man who would have a chance against Miles or even Miguel if he actually tried.
