Wonderful presentation. Really gives me a feel there are individuals behind the business. This gives me an expectation that all stakeholders care as much about my project as I do. With fabrication through installation, and involving Sales from sale through punchline and acceptance, there's no place to hide. With Quality doing fab & install , the probability of meeting my expectations is increased 10 fold. One fabricator/contractor taking responsibility for substrates through flashing eliminates finger pointing for the most important thing in a building - moisture intrusion. Very informative video. Even if some technical aspects were left out, I trust Quality knows better than anyone how to seamlessly fit into the project and touch all the bases. Who is the AZ connection?
I noticed that too. Also says "adhere by moving side to side" then immediately shows the guy going up and down. Looks like a well put together video, but you have to ask yourself is it really that full of valuable information when some of it comes into question. If these small things are false, what else that I didn't catch is also bad info?
Your brick wall most likely has the air gap, moisture barrier, and rain screen behind it already. It is not a good idea to add more veneer to brick as brick is considered a veneer itself and there are weight tolerances you have to be mindful of. All of which is documented in the building code. You don't want your veneer pulling on your wood framing too much or you won't have a standing wall eventually. The brick is secured to the wood framing by brick ties.
You can install veneer to regular brick with mortar joints if the mortar joints are recessed simply mid your stones a bit on the heavier side and follow all same procedure as the csc4 will get a good bite from the recessed mortar if you really want the reassurance you can install chicken wire make sure you pull it tight
If its real stone, cut it half way through on the back side and break it.... if its fake, cut it at an angle to hide the cut edge. But just don't use fake stone, its trash for the modest cost savings.

Been doing this for more then 15 years...it's so much fun
Adding just the wire to existing stucco wall and just installing the stone with out the scratch coat will hold the stones ?
As mentioned excellent video but at 22:28 contradicts by saying to start at top and work to bottom??

What kind of mortar you use for the stone
22:20 stone installation
Felt like I jus went to school 🤝🏽🤙🔥
Didn't you say to install from the top down? And then he did it from the bottom up.
Any directions for install veneer on concrete walls on exterior basement. This video is instructions only on exterior plywood.
You can stick masonry to masonry unless its a painted surface
If I want to cement stone directly to a brick exterior wall, do I need any moisture barrier between the stone and brick?

Brick veneer is not load bearing, it will not be strong enough to hold the stones.
You can install veneer to regular brick with mortar joints if the mortar joints are recessed simply mid your stones a bit on the heavier side and follow all same procedure as the csc4 will get a good bite from the recessed mortar if you really want the reassurance you can install chicken wire make sure you pull it tight
Just plaster over the bricks and run it! 🏃♂️ you'll be fine.
@@dnatke2010 Thank you.
Stone nippers ie horse shoe nippers to make cuts as well
I would learn to be an professional installer..¡ this job is so beautiful, am in love with it, thank you for upload this video.
Where are the weeps and soft joints? Ever hear of minimum holdoff from a hard surface? Somebody needs to review their MVMA installation guide.
Expansion joints?
What kind of mesh do I need for indoor cultured stone??
You don’t need wire lath for indoor application I would recommend a water and air proofing
Got it, so butter joints that where cut with a straight edge, that was not chiseled with a hammer.

Can a homeowner install themselves? I'm more then capable just not a licensed mason.
Licensed Mason never heard of such a thing in USA? My dads been doing this 36 years maybe I should tell him masons need a license.
