It is my genuine hope that Marvel treats the X-Men with more care than Fox did. The significant age differences from comic/cartoons to the movies was pretty horrible. They also treated Storm like a weakling when she is one of the most powerful X-Men.
Also, I really hope that they do not put in Rogue right away with her powers... As the source of her powers is still active in the MCU.
Well yes and no... Rogues POWER is to absorb life force/abilities from others...
So Rogue HAS her power....
But she gets her flight and super strength ect. from Captain Marvel, who yes, is still active!!!
@@jacobviator3118in fairness i think a lot of people refer to the absorption as her "mutation" and the captain marvel stuff her "powers" since one she was born with and the other she gained, which is the difference between a super powered individual and a mutant, rogue just happens to be both, the same could technically apply to wolverine, the healing factor and bone claws being his "mutation" and the adimantium skeleton being a "power" tho admittedly i don't hear that distinction made as much

For Rogue it’d be great if they either started her out (or via extended flashbacks) as a super-villain, and included what she did to Captain Marvel, and then finally show why she finally came around to being good. These are huge components of her backstory.
I doubt they're gonna kill off Danvers though. Brie Larson's contract's still up for several more years and at least 3 more movies.
@@uri0606When Rogue drains Captain Marvel she doesn't die. She just falls into a semi-permanent coma. Story wise it would just pause her character but just like the comics she eventually comes out of the coma. Otherwise she would still just be Ms Marvel in the comics instead of Captain Marvel. Plus Captain Marvel becomes a psychic background entity character in Rogues subconscious.
Yeah would be epic to see Rouge kill off Brie Larson!!

I want the team to basically be the same team we have in X-Men '97: Professor X, Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Gambit, Rogue, Nightcrawler, and possibly Morph and Jubilee.
Add Colossus, Iceman and Shadowcat to that and it'd be a perfect lineup.
I would say your missing collossus but they killed his character for me. So idc if hes in it or not. Kinda have no faith in anything marvel related

And seeing as Colossus is so popular in the Deadpool movies and Disney loves to include gay characters, and Iceman being gay, they both have a good shot at being core team members of the new roster. Essentials member also has to be Cyclops, Jean, Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Rogue and Charles of course. But most rosters of X-men teams, at least in the comics, have consisted of a minimum of five and up to ten members, excluding Charles, so lets hope they chose wisely this time and make sure to give equal screen time to each and not repeat Fox's obsession with making Wolverine, Charles, Magneto or Mystique the center of every story.
Marvel needs to learn from Endgame and going to the next Saga they need to develop some of the characters to carry over as the main characters to usher into the next Saga.
X-Men don't need solo movies just saying
They don't need to learn, they need to remove those people trying to change marvel. They've been doing this well up until endgame

Endgame would be a bad choice, too many callbacks and fan service in that movie (I think there were close to 100 of those), you would be better gleaning from infinity war, ragnarok, winter soldier, civil war etc as you build, not copy but work out what worked and adapt something similar.

just because you simp for her doesn't mean its a great casting, from what ive seen her in she's abit robotic, needs some emotion if she's gunna play Rouge. Not to mention a southern accent, Disney have a blue print in X-Men 97 not hard to replicate it given the right casting choices, this one not for me, i might be surprised but lets hope the story for rouge is better than the piece of utter trash we got in the original movies

Dude it's just gonna be all the young currently famous actors. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Zack or Cody is Cyclops. Whichever one is currently in all the tween movies. That's all they do now with casting. When the MCU first started out they hired pretty much unknowns/coming up. RDJ was blackballed by Hollywood, Evans was B list at best; Hemsworth and Renner were no bodies; Scarlett and Ruffalo were the only on the rise; Jackson was the only one with real box office star power numbers. They TURNED actors into stars. Look at everyone in GotG, all unknowns. Now they literally are only hiring whoever is the most famous they can get. Look at the cast F4, though they all can surprisingly legitimately act.
We're gonna get a great X-Men story with people who can't act and are literally known from some other main role they had.
X-men is a huge part of the Secret Wars storyline, so it makes sense.

I do wish Marvel would slow down on integrating X-men into MCU. We need more time seeing the X-men earth / universe fleshed out with deeper character development. Otherwise, they are partially developed, used as a plot point, then basically done.
That said, I’m still pretty stoked to see it all.

IMPORTANT QUESTION: In bringing forth the name "The Multiverse Saga" together with "The Mutant Saga" one, are they now doing away with numbering Marvel phases? The Infinity Stones saga was Phases 1-3. Phase 4 appears to be over, but I'm not sure if all of it is officially considered in the Multiverse Saga or not. I guess so. but it appears mostly to have been a transitional phase. But where Phase 5 began and whether it's ended or not is unclear. I guess Feige and his inner cohort (and Iger) are still unclear on that as well.
The X-Men reboot team: Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Storm, Wolverine, Binary, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Morph, Photon (Monica) and Professor X. That keeps the flavor of '97 going and the mid credit scene relevant.

I think they're starting to get things ready for a post-reboot MCU X-Men team. It would be cool to have this movie before Secret Wars, but I just think they're getting ready to make this movie now before the reboot, so they have it ready to go as soon as possible after Secret Wars.
And that's the way to go because to me it made no sense to launch X-Men after Secret Wars.
Smart decision! Hopefully in one of those universes we can get a RDJ cameo working with the Wolverine!

It was the involvement with the Shi'Ar that put the X-Men in the path of the M'Kraan Crystal which is said to be the Nexus of all realities and that if the M'Kraan is destroyed in one reality it destroys all realities. If this X-Men film is supposed to connect to the Multiverse Saga, I would love to see them do it in away that involves them, the Shi'Ar and the M'Kraan Crystal.
X-Men coming out before Secret Wars is so exciting and it'll make Secret Wars a greater spectacle, at least that's my hope!
Developing characters is the most important thing Marvel has to do to actually push forward the MCU...

Doing my yearly watch of XMEN now on Disney+ and loving the idea of the franchise having a revamp and if Marvel studios have now got the rights back I recon it will be Awesome, it would be fantastic if James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender return as Charles and Eric.😊
This has a lot of potential. I’m glad they’ll have Binary and Captain Proton back.‘maybe they can be retconned as mutants like Ms Marvel? Here’s who should be the new team: Xavier, Binary, Beast, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Ms Marvel, Jubilee, Wolverine (Laura), Synch, Sunfire. Why? This isn’t X-Men 97 and this is secret wars. We’re unfamiliar with many of these characters on screen, but they would interact explosively together. The drama and tension between Emma, Xavier, Binary, and Proton could be legendary. There’s also some “Avengers” mutants on the team.
I hope Disney does the X-Men some justice! And knowing It’s a different universe. It’s gonna be one hell of universe to combine with.
The Infinity Saga was one long concept album, and it sounds like the rest of the Multiverse Saga is a greatest hits album.

I like the fact that marvel are doing multiple different versions of characters. We get to enjoy the old d men cast as well as a new one. What days of future past failed to do well. Disney do us proud!

that would be a great concept since 616 didn't really establish that there were mutants, not until the later movies and TV series. so having them on another universe would really help.
