Glory to God for Fr. Ephraim. I only met him one time, which was in 2004. About six months after my wife and I were received thru Chrismation into the Holy Orthodox Church, we went on a pilgrimage with friends from our church to St. Anthony Monastery in Arizona. It was either right before, or right after the evening meal (I can't remember which). The crowd of people there were crowded around him to receive a blessing. When I received his blessing, after I kissed his hand, he would not let go of my hand, and he stared very deeply into my eyes for a brief moment (maybe 5 seconds or so), with a very faint smile on his face, and such piercing love coming from his eyes, like he was looking right into my soul! That's something I will never forget! And I never knew why he did that, or what it meant, or what he saw. But it was so moving and meaningful, and even now brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. I was so grateful to God for that moment in time, and still am!
I asked Elder Ephraim for help over the pandemic and my room filled with the most tender peace and I felt as if I was in the presence of a grandfather. I love this saint though my soul struggles to do anything right to express that enough. God is more loving than we realize. I believe if we have faith he'll give us exactly what we need to overcome the Evils of the world. In our weakness He's strong. In our suffering He's our comfort!
The tiniest unit of Christ's power is greater than all of the darkness in the world. People do have to ask for it with deep sincerity. Christ only gives it out at His will, in my experience. The recipient must be ready for it. It is all powerful. Jesus has healed me of many addictions, when He knew, I was ready for the healings. Thank you for posting this! USA
@Johnny Orthodox Wow. You have said it very well and clearly here. If your grandfather is still living, please thank him for me, for his services. We must stay alert and vigilant every day. Thank you so much for sharing this! USA
A monastery starts with one or more people who love Christ. Sometimes, we have to walk alone, while Jesus strengthens us. When we meet fellow Christ-loving people, it can be a big blessing. Such joy!! USA
We need monasteries in Cappadocia, Pissidia and other place of Mikra Asia where so many saints appeared in the past. Don't forget ancient Christian places and non-christian people who live in these places. Don't forget us-your spiritual children- father Ephraim.
Everything he is saying is all correct. Is it just me, or is God NOW putting us on high alert to prepare his flock. I have been bumping into many feeds on the events leading up to the reign of the evil one. I know in the deepest parts of my heart, soul, mind, and whatever else that 2022 will be the cataclysmic year to usher in unimaginable evil. I feel my spirit one with Jesus guiding me while keeping me calm. It’s an inexplicable force that cannot be explained. Just know that all this is to happen because our Eternal Father has planned it. He has chosen us to be part of this special part of human history to build His kingdom. Trust in Him and REPENT for everything. Don’t judge because by judging we are judging God the Father. It’s part of His perfect plan. I have too follow my own advice, too! Live His divine will because you have no choice when you truly LOVE the Father with all your heart, all your mind, and all your soul:)

This is the link: ruclips.net/video/QvcvLykW5Jk/видео.html The difference is that in our video we added English subtitles (captions) for an exact translation of the words of Elder Ephraim.
This makes perfect sense. The Saints set a way for us in word. Which is the same word but for our ears. Through praying to them in our hearts that legacy is revealed in the spirit of the Church and set in our hearts where it cannot be spoken of but is lived. That life is set unbreakable unto death. These children when they come, evil cannot not touch.

@@Yallquietendown Yes, that’s another wonderful monastery. I have a few friends that are regulars there and spiritual children of the Abbot, Geronda Polykarp. Really blessed place
@@OrthodoxLife do you recommend any other sources of orthodox content online? I listen to Constantine Zalalas’ lectures (Nicodemos Hagiorite channel), Fr Peter Heers (Orthodox Ethos), this channel, “Orthodox Prophecies and Miracles” channel, and Gregory Decapolite channel.
@@Yallquietendown those are wonderful sources, and as priceless as that material is, nothing beats the real thing. I’d say go and explore and visit the monasteries. Once you start going to services, confessing, receiving Communion and being immersed in that environment, you’ll learn a lot.
Today, there are few orthodox churches and monastiries left that are in the true faith, because most of churches/monastiries/priests/monks are now ecumenists, united with all wicked sectas, because of that 2016 Creta Synod, when orthodox leaders betrayed Christ's faith by signing the paperwork of that synod that are heretic. Also is the first time when heretics attend to an orthodox ecumenical synod which is a big big heresy. And etc etc..
Can we Spiritually train against advanced brainwashing techniques, is the subtext of his concern as I interpret it. Professional Monks live by the clock, the Liturgy of Hours, so in the early days, Bolsheviks messing around with a prisoner’s sense of time was quite devastating all by itself. What efforts have been developed to guard against this? I’m looking into becoming a monk myself in a few years, and I’m curious about this. We learn from the Fathers how to endure Great Suffering, but how much have we learned from the Martyrs of thre last 100 years about obnoxiously subtle forms of suffering?
As Elder Ephraim said: “Have faith within the heart not just with the tongue and have courage!” Also, humility, no one can fight the Antichrist or Satan by himself. We must humble ourselves and God does the rest. We read in Luke 18:27 that Jesus, referring to salvation, told those who questioned him that “what is impossible for man is possible with God”. The lack of faith is seen even in priests using multiple spoons for Holy Communion, the Body and Blood of Christ, in this time of the corona virus. Did they forget the words in Matthew 16:25 which says: “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” With faith in Christ He will speak to us the right words at the right time as He has spoken to many Saints in time of despair such as with Saint Silouan: “Keep your mind in hell and do not despair.” Or with Saint Anthony the Desert Father: “I saw the snares that the enemy spreads out over the world and I said groaning, “What can get through from such snares?” Then I heard a voice saying to me, 'Humility. Did Christ not tell the Apostles “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. (Matthew 8:26). Everything we need is already given to us, but in all this we always forget the small things, faith, courage, humility. Or as apostle Paul puts it: faith, hope and love. May God’s word live in our hearts as a fountain. Elder Ephraim also said that God will be easier on us than with the first Christians in the sense that He equires of us but little effort and faith in comparison to the first Christians, still we must give it our all as best as we can and not forget that simultaneously there are things which are impossible for man which only God can do for us. Even if we can not get to the 10th step, God will help us at the third step and have mercy. Does God not wish to save everyone? In the Orthodox morning prayers there is a prayer: “Save me whether I want it or not! Come quickly, hurry, for I perish!” Yet God is not a dictator, He will not save those who do not wish to be saved as He respects our free will. Lord, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. And forgive me, a sinner, whom am I but the least of all mankind? In Philippians 2:3 is written: “ Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.”
Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. This is how you train. Read a little bit from the Bible each day. Read theology from the Holy Fathers (Saint Chrysostom, Ephrem the Syrian and so many other) or look for books written by Elder Fathers of our times that reference the Holy Fathers. Go to Church and confess your sins and take Holy Communion (if you are allowed). This is how you train. Use the Jesus prayer as much as possible. I hope you become a monk and pray for us all. Fight against the two gates that stand between your mind descending in your heart when you pray: imagination and theology/ideas.
I'd also recommend the Jesus prayer as the best weapon to guard against this. Of course that the power of Jesus prayer is strongly connected to our life in Christ. If we don't live a real life in Christ then the prayer will be weaker. So also I would recommend having a real, authentic life in Christ. No hypocrisy, no excuses but real life in Him. I remember reading about Elder Cleopa that when he was interrogated by the communists they put him in a room with strong light and let him there for a while. He started the Jesus prayer and didn't realize how fast the time passed. Another example is from a woman who was sent to isolation. She got in this dark room having her hands tied to the back. At one point she noticed a bunch of eyes. There were rats waiting to feed on her. She was very scared. She started to pray and in that moment she started to see a bright light and staying in that light she didn't realize how a couple of days passed in isolation. The last example I would give from fr. Daniel Tudor. He was sent to isolation with a doctor. The room was very cold and the doctor realized that if they'll stay a couple of days there, they will die of pneumonia. Fr. Daniel set in the form of the Cross on the ground and told the doctor to put himself on the same position and sitting on him back to back. After that he told him to say the Jesus prayer. The doctor said that there was a bright light and didn't realize how fast those days passed. The guards were shocked that these 2 people weren't dead and they were even more shocked as the body of fr. Daniel was actually very hot. One last thing I would say is something my spiritual father told me. I was worried about the fact that I'm a coward so I was thinking that if I would have lived in time of communism I would have probably renounced God. He told me to stop thinking about this as in those times God works in another way and it is not us who resist the tortures but His grace.
🤔… While I’m cautious to mention it, as some believe he was portraying a Croatian bishop {prior to the terrible truth about them during WW2 being revealed in America (we don’t know for sure, it was deliberately vague and he could have been Polish)}, the character, played by Alec Guinness in “The Prisoner”, what happened to him is a very accurate portrayal typical of advanced communist brainwashing with a focus on avoiding direct physical torture. More expensive than brainwashing that includes some torture, reserved for victims they needed to make cooperate for propaganda purposes, so needed to keep up the illusion of treating him ‘well’, and had merely “persuaded him” to change his mind. Obviously, Orthodox priests and monks were subject to the same torments, and I’d like to hear their particular testimonials, such as how to meditate without seeming to meditate, right under their evil noses. I’m guessing, and I need to learn more, that we must first become adept at conventional prayer meditation, then take time to practice meditating in resistance to vexing distractions.

@Johnny Orthodox Say, "Hello" to Putin.
@Johnny Orthodox It is not lifesaving. A real vac is a product of a decade worth of trials. This one skipped animal testing. Think about it.

De ce nu spuneţi că e din 1992? Ca să atrageţi fraudulos audienţă.
Scrie in descrierea video-ului locatia si anul in care a fost inregistrat...

where are all the incorruptible bodies of martyrs? ...if incorruptible bodies were real . shouldn't all the martyrs have incorruptible bodies? ...
in the book of apocalypse we know that it is written that only after Jesus comes on earth we can put on immortality and it has nothing to do with a mummy but a body that doesn't die ( literally...not a body that doesn't rot) ...and He will restore the flesh back and achieve an incorruptible body .
these are just mummies you use to sell your stuff.merchants of the world ,that's who you are.
You have no idea what you are talking about. God preserves whomever He will. Nobody ever said that all martyrs would be incorrupt.

@@katherinegeorge2400 if you read your bible you would've known that the false church will make big signs such as fire falling from the sky .
@@katherinegeorge2400 incorruptible glorified bodies are bodies that do not die . not bodies that do not roth.
incorruptible body is what Jesus had when he ascended. also the virgin Mary when she was also took to heaven. Moses and Elijah and Enoch.
@@katherinegeorge2400 serve your mummies all you want.
by the way you move your head and hand and the way you talk i can understand that you are a preacher who uses flattering words to manipulate gullible people .
As someone who speaks Greek you are totally wrong. Elder Ephraim speaks with passion and sincerity and uses words that people can understand so that they may benefit spiritually.
Catalin my brother(?) can I ask what in particular is your problem with such slanderous accusations of a Saint? ^_^
