BTW, I love Harvey, but he is not undroppable. Those are Virg, Mo, Trent,, and Allison. He does, however, start in 12 of the 20. In two years absent a terrible injury like had last year? Yes, he might be undroppable. We are tip-toeing around Lucho. He needs more time if the boss can find the time. He creates overloading where he is. He is the odd man out when it comes to Klopp's style. Diaz has feet that create trouble all of the time. If he had a better shot they would be talking a leader in the league. For me, he does what he should. Oh, "Where art Thou Luis Suarez?" This issue would be resolved in an instant if he was at Anfield but 25 years old!!! What a side of the pitch: Robo, Lucho, Suarez, Jones, and Nunez, if he improves his closing and STOPS RUNNING OFFSIDE, we would be unstoppable. Anyway, less-injured we are elite irrespective of the quality of the academy. Finally, do not forget the quality of the other academies in England. The boys are drawn to Liverpool in good part because of the boss. When he is gone, Kirkby is less attractive. We are not passing out Superman shirts there. Academies have their ups and downs. Oh,wait until Gordon gets on the pitch. HE will prove that this "up" is real.

Good analysis - and decent of you to give so much credit to Southampton - who gave us a few scares. Unfortunately United beat us at Old Trafford last season, given our changes in the interim it feels like an age but it is about 18 months ago (08/22/22).
They were fantastic to be fair. Just wasted so many chances. And if even half our team is back from injury I think we get a result. The form this team is on is impressive. That really does feel like so long ago too but things have changed a bit at the club since.

Well said regarding Southampton. I am a 35 yearL Liverpool supporter and Kelleher is a top 12 keeper for sure. There is zero percent he is a Red next fall. He needs to have his own team. Celtic needs a keeper and he will end up there.

Bajcetic was a huge bright spot last season and I wholeheartedly believe they bought an older DM in Endo because of how much they believed in him. He will come good once he is fit! And Will do!
Elliot has a superb left foot, but he gets knocked off the ball alot. He is lightweight.
Thats for sure an area that I’d like to see him grow in. He is built like a winger but plays CM. If he can get some weight under him he will be a force in midfield.

I think JK has set the foundation for LFC to fight each and every game and set the foundation for the transfer window from the Academy itself rather than spending millions for players abroad but set this players at the academy ..... these kids will provide the continuation of a legacy for years to come and the quadruple might be sooner than later .....

I love this questions and I might actually do a story time down the road. But I become a football fan when I was 13 years old during the 2006 World Cup! My mom woke me up to watch some guy named Thierry Henry. I liked it! But didn’t get hooked till I woke up one morning to “soccer” ahahah, football on and a team in red were playing. I saw Steven Gerrard & Fernando Torres for the very first time that morning and I fell in love. THOSE TWO are the sole reason I started seriously watching and supporting LFC. El Niño and Gerrard will always be my two favorite Liverpool players of all times because of that special bond.

The Academy talent has been valued at £300 million before these last two games, so what will it be worth now? By the way, there are many more young players you haven’t even seen yet! Also, Kelleher was an Academy player!

I'm a huge fan of the things we're doing and what that academy is achieving now since the decision was taken to move the senior players out of Melwood to find a place to get the youth players working alongside.
Nostalgia stood in the way of moving the seniors out of Melwood. It's definitely proved to be the right choice now based upon the evidence. And now the the ladies have gotten themselves into Melwood... Good times!
