For many years the footage that was cut thanks to demands by the MPAA was believed lost and/or destroyed. Miraculously it was found to be on a VHS tape that FX coordinator Carl Fullerton has had in his possession all this time that he used as a sort of demo reel for future work. The tape was preserved and able to be transferred to digital so that footage finally got to see the light of day just in the last year via the recent complete box set from Shout Factory of the Friday the 13th film series. My favorite kill is also Steve Dash's favorite of the whole franchise; "Wheelchair down the stairs backwards with the machete in the head" and they only did it once, using some kind of rigging to keep the wheelchair from tipping over. Also, the first shot of Jason's feet is one of a woman playing the character, and Steve Dash had to force his feet into those undersized boots because they'd already shot with them once he was hired.

All I could say is... Yes Yes Yes! 😁 Husband and wife back again for another epic chapter in the Friday series! Great review as always. Jason lives is my favorite movie of the franchise! Keep up all of the great work!!
Just a funny fact....while filming the last fight scene with Jason the actor playing him got his finger cut very bad to the bone. They rushed him to the hospital but totally forgot they had the FAKE machete buried into his shoulder for the shot. When they get him to the ER the hospital staff freaked the hell out thinking the machete wound was real LOL. They had to explain to the nurses and staff it was a movie prop and just the finger was cut.
Steve Dash played Jason Voorhees in the majority of this film except for a few shots - one of em being the window crash at the end in which Warrington Gillette (who took all the credit until he was exposed as a liar) did as unmasked Jason Voorhees. Being the very first Jason Voorhees as the killer meant a whole new world to him despite gaining a few injuries - concussion on back of his head, broken ribs and a sliced-open middle finger. Dash was offered to come back for Friday the 13th Part 3 but he turned it down due to commitments with a soap opera called Guiding Light (Kevin Bacon was a member of the show’s cast at the time). Had he not turn it down, he would’ve done all 11th (or less) Friday the 13th films like Robert Englund who was Freddy Krueger in all of the Nightmare on Elm Street films (including Freddy Vs Jason). Dash made a return to the Friday the 13th world in the fan film Friday the 13th: Vengeance as a Crystal Lake town sheriff and it’s a speaking role. After making F13: Vengeance, Steve Dash/The Real Jason Voorhees of F13 Part 2 passed away from complications of diabetes on 18th December 2018.
I can explain all of the questions about where Jason was, why his mom thought he was dead, etc... I am writing a story about Pamela. I intend to do a fan film some day for RUclips. Slow going, but I have some really good ideas to explain the origins and, more importantly to me, Pamela's decent into madness. It's messed up, but will explain things that were never answered for me, as a fan. I am leaving out anything supernatural. At this point, Ralph might have a lot more to do with things than we thought (which is why jason took barbed wire to his throat). ;)
Interesting. One issue how will you explain Jason survive his drowning? Maybe he temporarily died and got brain damage? You said you wanted it to be less supernatural
In the chaos of the day Jason is pulled from the water, after the counselors run to get help, by Crazy Ralph. Only presumed drowned. In reality, kidnapped and abused for years until he is able to escape.............And get revenge. BOOM! YOU KNOW THAT'S GOOD!
@7:41 "This place is spooky". That's the character of Sandra who would be revealed in The Final Chapter as Rod's sister. Who he would go to avenge her death. Well you know how that went....lmao.

This one, honestly, is my favorite, because of the late Richard Brooker who played Jason and the cinematography. seemed like it took place in fall, which is my favorite season, and even though the story was weak, I still dug it.
It's tough to beat the mood and overall atmosphere of the first few films. By part 5 the movies became more about the gore than the mood. I still love part 6 and 7 but when I'm in the mood for a creepy experience I gotta stick with the first two and some parts of 3/4. Cheers.
It looks like fall because they had to shoot these movies in the fall and early winters to have time to get them in theaters the next spring or early summer. Part 4, the actress who had the skinny dipping scene nearly got hypothermia.
Great seeing the reactions to this one! I loved how she predicted the window yet still jumped when it happened. This and the next three or four were Saturday and Sunday afternoon viewing when I was growing up! Always enjoyed seeing Jason or Freddy on the weekends! Gonna catch up with the rest before this coming Friday. Keep em coming!
The wheelchair death is my favourite kill in Part 2, and one of my favourites in the entire Friday The 13th franchise. I love the Mrs.' shirt. I have an almost identical one. Only difference is mine is blue and green stripes, where hers appears to be just green. Too bad you guys didn't do your reaction to Part 3 in 3D, That would have been interesting. Of course, the red & blue 3D glasses don't work very well for me. Although I think that might be because I REALLY need to make an appointment with an optometrist. Maybe if I were to get some prescription contact lenses and THEN wear the red blue 3D glasses over them while watching the movie in 3D the images will actually pop.
Nah. We actually both hate 3D movies. Our first date was a movie night. It was either some movie in 3D or Arnold and Sly in Escape Plan. She was cool with Escape Plan. Knew she was a keeper.
The noises you mentioned were the sound guy from part 1, can't remember if it was the guy who scored the movie or the sound design guy, but I saw an interview years back with him about it. Basically he took Mrs Voorhees' statement in the first movie "kill her mommy" and just used the first bit if the two words..."ki" and "mo" from kill and mommy and then ran it through a delay pedal...became iconic enough though lol
Me and my wife saw at the theater and it really freaked me out lol! Also Happy Birthday to me was great also with that girl from little house on the prairie anyway thanks as always these reactions are a lot of fun ! Thanks

After making F13: Vengeance, Steve Dash/The Real Jason Voorhees of F13 Part 2 passed away from complications of diabetes on 18th December 2018.
my favorite weapon was that arrow looking spear but my favorite kill was the machete to the guy's face in the wheelchair while falling back!
At this point, Ralph might have a lot more to do with things than we thought (which is why jason took barbed wire to his throat). ;)
Sounds cool. Will the father, Elias be in it? I think that was his name in the comic.
@@steveharvey2102 Yeah he will. He is instrumental in the entire thing.
Interesting. One issue how will you explain Jason survive his drowning? Maybe he temporarily died and got brain damage? You said you wanted it to be less supernatural
When it’s coming out! Please
Knew it was a distraction, but it still got her.
Also waited to see if the ending would get her again and boy DID IT 😂😂😂
@7:41 "This place is spooky". That's the character of Sandra who would be revealed in The Final Chapter as Rod's sister. Who he would go to avenge her death. Well you know how that went....lmao.
My favorite kill scene was the one where the young woman took all her clothes off.
A sign that the opening scene is quite effective is seeing Mrs Movie react to all the jump scares and the final scare that is unexpected
Death Reactions
5:58 Pamela (I know it’s not a death but it’s just a bonus)
6:02 Alice
11:24 Crazy Ralph
14:06 Deputy Winslow
16:28 Scott
16:41 & 25:20 Terry
19:02 Mark
19:27 Sandra and Jeff
20:04 Vickie

I saw this film for the first time on VHS at my aunt’s house in the 80’s.
Your freakin face during your wife terror is hilarious. lol
I will forever call that one guy Alfredo linguini cause he looks just like the guy from ratatouille lol
Cheers.
Brooker was Jason in Part 3, not 2.
It looks like fall because they had to shoot these movies in the fall and early winters to have time to get them in theaters the next spring or early summer. Part 4, the actress who had the skinny dipping scene nearly got hypothermia.
Just like the Alien series. You will secretly fall in love with these :-D
Friday the 13th is one of life's guilty pleasures!
I saw Part 3 in the theatre in 3-D and it was great ! I still have the soundtrack album with the 3-D cover art and my glasses from the movie.
Hope you make it through these and watch a Nightmare on Elm Street after! I think Freddie will be right up your alley! Lol,! Great reaction! Peace!
It sounds a lot like the end of the song children of the grave by black sabbath.
Me and my wife saw at the theater and it really freaked me out lol! Also Happy Birthday to me was great also with that girl from little house on the prairie anyway thanks as always these reactions are a lot of fun ! Thanks
Hammer Time!
You guys really are the best reactors on RUclips right now!
Another great aspect of these F13 movie series is the Harry Manfredini score. I’m glad y’all are doing all the horror classics. And I loved the shirt.
