What's Your Favorite Kill in Friday the 13th The Remake?
Sam from supernatural is always my favorite.
Favorite kill is the Dock scene as well.
Chewie, that screwdriver in the neck was brute. Trent is very brute too. Also great reaction yall one love ☮ ✌
There are so many good ones the sleeping bag over the fire, the arrow through the head, the machete into the head for the TITular(boobies lol) shot Chewie's death ooh can't decide
you need to watch texas chainsaw massacre
Trent's death was the best, just because it was a long time coming. Favorite character was Whitney, her intelligence kept her alive and she really wasn't the typical "damsel in distress." She may have been re-captured but at least she broke herself out in the first place.
I like how Jason is way more aggressive and intelligent in this one.
Same here.
Facts. Zombie Jason was boring af
@@papalaka2780 I agree
Watyes
I love all the Jason's but this one is a bad ass mother fucker
I love how much more smart they made Jason. You can tell that he spent 30 or so years living in the woods. I also like how they explained how he got everywhere so quickly by using his tunnel system. I'm a big fan of the Friday the 13th series in general, and this was a fantastic modern remake.
Yeah, but Jason shouldn’t be smart. That’s sort of his thing.
Well jason isn't a genius he has the basic survival senses of a kid but scince he was a summer camp kid at camp crystal lake he was probably taught basic stuff like shooting a bow and arrow or how to set up bare traps and bottle trip wires
I like him running.
@@YugenDuck we ain’t saying for Jason to be a mathematical genius but for a guy who’s lived in the woods for 20+ years you’d expect him to be an expert hunter rather than walking right into traps. This is a why remake Jason was so unique. He was a fast paced hunter.
Part of why I really love this remake is that Jason feels like Rambo and it doesn't feel out of place. He's been living in the woods for so long, of course he'd pick up on some survival tactics.
This Jason reminds me of Parts 3, 4 and 6 Jason (the terminator-ish tendencies).
Exactly. This was a much better version of Jason instead of the pseudo Hulk heavy breathing Kane did.
@@alucard624 Exactly. As much as I adore Kane Hodder's depiction of Jason, it's nice to see that classic, sadistic, meticulous woodsman we know that Jason can be. Not the always pissed off one lol
@@meekmeek8198 Agreed. I got tired of the heavy breathing angry linebacker schtick Kane did as Jason after awhile in each of the movies he did. Derek was a nice return to old school Jason pre zombified.
Reboot not remake
I found it absolutely hilarious that the Ms was all like “No NOO” when Whitney was snatched up again. This remake is so underrated it’s a serious Friday the 13th movie with barely to no camp at all.
That’s why I don’t like it as much though 😂 I think this has all the elements of a good Friday the 13th movie, but I feel like they need a mixture of camp and actual tension. Honestly, even without the camp I still may have enjoyed it more if we at least got more than one character that isn’t abysmal
It's the best jason in my opinion I love kane hodder but Derek mears is soo good
@@loganarnoldkicks4321 don’t get me wrong I like camp but I do love me a serious horror movie and this movie delivered on that. I think out of all the previous movies before the remake part 4 was the most serious Friday the 13th with some camp here and there
@Michael Smollin lmao they mean like the feel of the film having camp vibes like corny💀
That’s exactly why I don’t like it as much. Friday the 13th IS campy, that’s like it’s entire purpose. This is more like Texas Chainsaw featuring Jason as the killer.
Loved how Jason was quick, brutal and uses a bow. Clay shouldn't have a problem with Jason since he's been fighting demons for a long time in Supernatural. His Supernatural brother was in My Bloody Valentine. Also a good remake.
Jensen and Jared should do more horror, honestly. They're really good at it.
@@TimedRevolver agree they where able to do these movies cause of the writers strike. So it would great to see them in more horror films
now Dean is a soup
@@rawrsinji he is locked up again sups dad
I really love the portrayal of Jason in this one by Derek Mears. He himself is a big time fan of the series even before playing the part. But this Jason runs, he’s fast and brutal in the way he kills. No more Zombie Jason. This Jason is a murderous hillbilly that is human and lives in the woods.
Leatherface’s cousin.
Jason actually ran a few times in the first few
He runs in the originals and isn't a zombie til part 6.
Jennas death is still one of the most shocking deaths in Slasher movies for me.
I figured Whitney was the "Final Girl", but Jenna had huge final girl vibes too. Also shocking as when I first saw the movie Jenna was the only actor/actress I recognized besides Clay "Sam Winchester" Miller.
This movie went with and broke a few slasher stereotypes in a fun way, micheal bay should definitely keep helping out with horror
For me the most brutal kill was Amanda in the opening with the sleeping bag, has always stuck with me.
Also the kid who played Chewy in this was the kid who made the vlogs in Nightmare on Elm Street 2010.
Wasn't he also In that party movie project x or something
@@jaymorrison4886 oh maybe, I remember when it came out just never saw it.
He also plays the best friend in “Disturbia”
My favorite death was Lawrence…Jason kept him alive as baitwhich told us that this Jason was a hunter, not just a mindless killer. He was very smart!

@@josefernandez-oj6hl45
The guy rubbing up against the mannequin was hilarious.
One of the best theater experiences was watching this remake on opening night. The entire crowd applauded that opening sequence lol
"He missed his quick time event." That made me laugh so much more than it should have! xD
Fun fact: They didn't have the copyright to use Tommy Jarvis so they used Clay.
Really hope that Sean and Victor comes to some kind of agreement because the lawsuit is over, but it's 50-50. Sean owns the rights to adult hockey mask Jason while Victor owns his original screen play and young Jason. I'm sure a Friday the 13th will be made again, I mean honestly Jason would fit perfectly in this new era of Horror. It's so weird to see new Chucky, Michael & Leatherface content but no Jason.
And no Freddy!
They literally could have used Tommy Jarvis had they wanted to.....It wasn't just New LIne and Platinum Dunes....Paramount HAD to be involved just for them to be able to use the Friday the 13th name...WIth Paramount involved they had access to everything in the Friday universe.
Sean and Victor's legal pissing match frankly killed the franchise IMO. It certainly killed the F13th game that was a lot of fun.

@@Malum09 freddy reamek fliped you cant od mroe fredyw ti out eglend dude so freddy si dead we all kno that
I liked this remake alot. It brought back the seriousness again. Jenna ( Danielle Panabaker) is who I hated seeing die the most. She was my favorite girl. I'm biased because I was watching Supernatural at the time so Clay (Jared Padelecki) was my favorite overall character. I was glad to see them get these two well known actors on board.
This is unapologetically one of my favourite Friday films. Making Jason actually smart and tactical was brilliant, and the characters, at least to me were more likeable than most other Fridays.
I love how intimidating this version of Jason is he’s actually terrifying.
"Are you looking for this? Cause it completes your outfit" My absolute favorite line ever.
Because of Jared Padalecki being in this movie, every time I watch it, I just can't help but think, "The Winchester boys are FINALLY doing something about that damn Voorhees curse!" lmao
yeah
Absolutely love this movie. One of the best reboots out there. Derek Mears is a great Jason.
No on all accounts, Kane hodder is the best.
@@chasejackson7248 he is so overrated and all his movies were awful
@@MartyMcFly88 he plays the best characters the movies don't have to be good.
@@chasejackson7248 wrong
I cannot say I was much impressed by it. The same bleak overly gory take that they did with the TCM remake and Freddy remake.
i remember being so shocked in the theater when jenna got killed because the actress danielle panabaker was primarily known for working in like kids/teens movies and shows before this so i was like “there’s no way they’re gonna kill her, she’s on disney channel” lol and i was very wrong.
she was gone in a flash 😄😄😄
I remember seeing this in the theatre with my friend. At the get go I said the movie better have an eye gouging. It indeed delivered!
This remake was decently good, brought a much more brutal Jason back, favorite kill was probably Trent eff him and favorite character was chewy. Honestly don't see where they could go with Jason there was talk about doing a found footage type style which would be different, the winter crystal lake movie was also talked about. But yeah not sure
If you want to see what a found footage Friday the 13th movie would look like, youtube search "Never Hike Alone". The best Friday fan film, hands down.
Sucks lol
@@supertenor2767 you just won't quit it with this movie, will you? Go troll somewhere else
Your right for a remake this one wasnt bad and its takes place in the same world as transformers. Optimus vs jason
Yeah, Trent sucks...and he died thinking he killed Bree. Serves him right.
I love that the “remake” of Friday the 13th………..is just a really Good Friday the 13th movie!
I remember seeing this in theaters and dying laughing that the title card shows up like almost half hour into the movie 😂😂
The title card shows up at 23 minutes in, it just had an extended intro ... I don't see what's funny loads of films do this?
This is one of my favorites, not too campy, Really serious and dark tone, The Sleeping bag over the fire one is one of my faves of the franchise, it goes to show a quick, silent and stealthy Jason is just as scary as the teleporty Jason. I really like the practical effects used on Jason's face, it was a hooded prosthetic I think, but it was really well done on an effects level. Also love the redesigned Hockey mask and the newer take on getting it in the first place. I also love how the Ms. said at the beginning, I'm ready for that canoe jumpscare, then totally forgot by the end of the movie that there's always one last jumpscare.
The thing I’ve noticed about most horror remakes is they’re more serious and dark less camp.
Have you seen the black christmas remake it's camp
@@jaymorrison4886 not so much the original remake (2006)
Been waiting for this reaction for a long time. This one is one of my favorites in the franchise I just hope they get this court mess over with so we can get some new Friday the 13th movies😩
The whole legal garbage between Victor and Sean has done a lot of damage to this series unfortunately.
One of my favorite slasher movies!! When i first heard of it i wasn't interested in watching because of how different it was compared to the originals but i really enjoyed it a lot! Jenna's death surprised me but also bothered me, the ending had me believe another movie was coming out but who knows whatever happened with that. Overall good movie!
I think there was alot lawsuits going on about who has rights. It's probably something you can read up on to get all the facts.
@@briangoodie3420 Yea i heard somethings but I'm not expecting a sequel of this 2009 remake so whatever happens with the license, if another movie will come out or not, it will be brand new. No expectations! I'm just glad they did good with this one!!
@@KingChrisXX a sequel to it called Friday The 13th part 2 3d was supposed to come out around 2014,idk what happened to it tho
I always loved this one, but it came out at a time when I was on a very big Jared Padalecki kick 😂 still loved it. I really enjoyed the entire intro for this one. The weed hunt, the sleeping bag roast over the fire always seemed the most brutal to me.
Ohhhh. I love this movie. A fun remake. It’s knows who it’s audience is. It combines elements from parts 1-4.
I think this pays homage a bit better than these later Halloween films because it's not so in your face with it it's quick and done where as every other scene in Halloween (2018) is something from a previous Halloween film.
One of the best horror reboots during the time when horror franchises got a lot of remakes and reboots. Combining elements of the first 4 films into a modern setting did a very good job at achieving its goal of having a new film that had old traits to it. It would have been cool had they made a sequel where new people arrive at Crystal Lake and then Jason continues his rampage. I remember being talks of maybe having it take place during the winter so there would be snow everywhere. That would have been cool.
That's not saying much.
You really timed this perfectly for today and I love that haha
I actually think this Remake is Awesome for the most part. I’d put in my Top 3. Was a smart decision to just kinda take the best parts of the first few movies and mesh them together. If only Nightmare on Elm Street did that 👀
That quick-time event comment got me lmao
The replay of the canoe reaction will NEVER get old lol
"She dumping her boyfriend for that guy?"
Well it is Sam Winchester. Can you blame her?
Also, I like that this has so many actors from tv shows I love like Supernatural, The Flash, Veronica Mars and the actor who played the cop who gets killed, is Richard Burgi who was in a show I love called The Sentinel. He was also in 24 and Desperate Housewives.
I really enjoyed this reaction, as always. You both do a wonderful job. My favorite kill was the sleeping bag over the fire. Now, that was definitely a brutal way to die. Thanks for sharing this with us and, as always, watch Return of the Living Dead!
This film is a dream matchup for fans of Supernatural. This is a reboot of the franchise, not a true remake. Jason in this is portrayed by the 6'5 stunt actor Derek Mears, who's tied with Canadian actor/stuntman Ken Kirzinger for being the tallest Jason. The newest Evil Dead is another solid reboot
if you pay close attention, as they are going through Jason's lair, you can see trophy's for archery, hockey, ect, that explains his skills in such. i think there was even one for ax throwing.
They aren't his, they're things he's found at the camp. He's been living in the woods since he was a kid, seriously doubt he was regularly attending hockey practice!.
I LOVE how the outta the lake jump scare at the end worked on you!. And you UTTER disappointment in yourself that it got you!!....😂😂😂😂😂
"We should visit Crystal Lake." Technically, you can. Camp NoBeBoSco, the Boy Scouts camp in Hardwicke, New Jersey where the original 1980 movie was filmed, holds Friday The 13th tours of the campgrounds. It's not a scary tour like some Halloween haunted house attraction, it just leads you to the various cabins and locations at the camp, learning trivia and taking photos. But it would be really cool if they also offered spooky haunted tours as well. Nearby Blairstown also holds events and screenings of the movie, as the town scenes early in the film were shot there.
So, Mrs. Movies was correct about it kind of being a sequel. You can watch the OG and this movie and get a literal perfect experience.
Or you can watch the first four movies and have, well, a perfect experience. It all depends on what you want. This is a reboot, not a remake.
This film is pretty much the same idea as Halloween 2018 where it's a sequel to Halloween 1978. This film picks up many many years down the line from the events of F13p1 so that little boy in the pond grew to be a 40+ year old feral swamp man with mommy issues lol.
The conception of the film began as a reboot to the series. Some call it a standalone entry into the series but I argue that it's a true retcon sequel to the original Friday much like Halloween H20 or Halloween 2018 are retcons as well (H20 keeps the storylines of H2 where as 2018 does not).
I consider this a sequel to Friday The 13th part 1 and I prefer it to everything but 1 and 6. I watch the first one, the Reboot (this), part 4 and part 6 when I wanna watch some fridays.
It's not a reboot, it's a remake of the first 4.
Thanks!
Yeah, I know, late as all get out, but I've been meaning to drop you guys a couple bucks for awhile and I keep missing ya, so darn it, I'm doing it now. Now much, but just a thanks for all the great vids that you make!
Thank you!
The headless body Jason is carrying belongs to the weed dealer guy, because there was an alternate death filmed for that character and how Jason gets that mask.
Basically the scene plays out where the guy that's selling the weed finds the hockey mask that he keeps in a glass case he puts it on smokes a joint, and Jason comes in the scene holding a can of gasoline and yet the guy confronts him and Jason pulls out the machete from the holster that he keeps it in and decapitates the guy and he takes the hockey mask as exchange for the sack mask that he is seen wearing where as instead of it being torn off Jason takes off the sack mask and puts on the hockey mask.
jason ain’t want nobody messing with his stash☠️
told yall this one was underrated, underappreciated and probably one of if not the best one... also was this some sort of special dvd edition?! there was some parts here that i never seen before
one of the best jason impersonations and i love how the mrs knew exactly before jason kept her alive she predicted it lol that shit flew right over my head watching
This is the scariest part of the franchise 😮
I hope that they will continue this franchise,I hope this is not the last movie😊
I love your montage to her reaction to the first Friday the 13th. Hilarious!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣the jump scare at the end you had me in stitches with you jumping lol 😂
Yessss :) Finally get to see you guys react to this one. For being a remake, I really enjoyed this one. It's pretty fun.. Jason is bigger, faster and more ruthless than ever. Not to mention, Jared Padalecki from Supernatural is in this one. The cinematography is great and the characters...some you'll love and others you'll love to hate lol ...Happy Friday the 13th 🔪 🔪 🔪 Enjoy ;)
It's my favorite movie to watch
funny thing jared really wanted jason in superntural but they did not let it happen so this makes up for it
34:31 that look of concern and then calm on Gamer Wife's face, but then suddenly a jumpscare and then the look of annoyance and realization.. priceless! LOL! Awesome reactions as always Gamer Wife! Gamer Husband's reactions are subtle but noticeable and entertaining as well! Keep on watching and gaming scary stuff you two! (^^)d
Great reaction as usual! This remake is a solid one! I’ve always enjoyed this one.
This one was filmed in and around Austin TX, my home town. I didn't think I would like this remake... boy was I wrong! I find this remake to be one of the greats... of course those are few and far between. On another note... I posted this to my Facebook page this morning, enjoy! (Happy Friday the 13th! Now contrary to popular belief, 13 is not an unlucky number. However, with that said... don't go Camping by the lake tonight).
I think it's pure trash. Nothing fresh or good about it.
This movie is so underrated... I see it as a good compilation of the first 4 movies (when the chronology of the series still made sense), full of references for longtime fans and a real scary Jason.
It may be a compilation but I can name 5 other Fridays better than this one
23:22 I love how she didn’t even say it this time 😭😭😭 this is too funny, I love it
The opening of this could be a stand alone short film. It’s so good!!🙌
lmfao i loved the scene in the barn talking to that mannequin and the laughing not seen but heard LOL
This is a great remake. Love Derek Mears as Jason.
34:52 LOL Jason got her again!!!
For me this is the only remake I like. Even more than the original. Jason here is fast and clever. Nicely done with all attacks.
Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in NJ is the OG setting. They do tours if you ever do decide to make the trek! Happy holiday, spooky nerds!!!
Yes finally!!! This is my third favourite Friday the 13th movie and it definitely has the scariest Jason as well.
What's your favourite for me it's either 4 or 6
Loved Mrs movies jump at the end. It's a staple now with F 13th 🤣
Great film I'm glad you enjoyed it when I watched this at the cinema Trent lose his gun in a puddle and he said "Where are f**k are you gun" and I said "I'm drowning" and almost everyone started laughing
It's ashame they didn't continue this series with Derek playing Jason. I love how aggressive Jason is
Love how convinced she is that it’s a sequel and not a remake 😅😂
I will never forgive this movie for killing Jenna. I SCREAMED in the theater when that happened.
i didn't scream but yeah I liked her better than Whitney so it was sad.
I was waiting for Dean (Winchester) to pop up to help his brother [for the Supernatural fans]
Just in case you're wondering, Crystal Lake is in
Green Valley, New Jersey.
Confirmed by a sign in the store in Friday the 13th part 3.
I laughed when the Mrs jumped at the end. Didn't she say at the very start she would be ready for an ending jump scare?
Can't wait for your reaction to Lorenzo's Oil tomorrow!!! I've been waiting forever for a reactor to feature Lorenzo's Oil.
Easter eggs for almost all of the movies were scattered throughout this one, including the RV hulk.
Stylistically super serious slasher setpiece supremacy.....
Jason is gold.
Friendly reminder that the fan film that I participated in was released on Friday the 13th. It's called The Fall of Camp Blood. I get a special appearance as Jason in the movie. I hope you will react to it. We had a great time making it, even though it was difficult as COVID-19 interfered with the filming.
Hope it's good, never seen a good fan film yet.
Sleeping bag kill. Clay was my favorite character. There are two honorable mentions of fan-made Friday the 13th films. Never Hike Alone and Never Hike In The Snow if you're interested.
Cool reaction as always Mr. & Mrs Movies, you both take care and have a great weekend
You can actually the original Camp, Nobebosco, in New Jersey during the off season. It’s a functioning summer camp and it’s actually pretty cool. Smaller than you’d expect based on the movie but they do tours and reunions, which I was actually at the last one and they had actors from the first 2 movies. Very cool experience, highly recommended.
Travis Van Winkle plays Trent, the same name as his character in Transformers, fans have jokingly stated the universes are shared!.
I actually LOVE this movie, it's my favorite remake ever and honestly, people will hate me to say it but it's my favorite movie in this franchise, I love the kills and how Jason is like a hunter and is smart using like bear traps and how he runs at people is horrifying and incredible, I honest to God don't understand why some people don't like it
"I'm prepared for the canoe scene at the end"
Dock scene - Hold my beer
Was wondering when ya'll were gonna finally get around to this one! Glad you liked it. Always thought it wasn't so bad. I wonder when ya'll are gonna do the new Evil Dead one. Maybe October?
Oh man I been waiting I like your Reacting keep going 🤞🏾

Sam Winchester of Supernatural, Jared Padalecki, and Caitlin Snow, /Killer Frost of The Flash, Danielle Panabaker are in the same movie together!
The actor who portrays Wade also portrayed Trey in “Live Free or Die Hard.”
I watched this last night too and it was so much better than I remembered!
Really enjoyed the reaction alot. This is my favorite Friday the 13th movie, the kills are gruesome and awesome. Trent is one of the most hated characters in a horror film ever. 🤘😃
Yeah my heart beating really good too seeing that girl dancing. Stupendous dancing lol
One of my favorites! Perfectly reimagined! Great reboot. Deserves a sequel. Derek was great as Jason! Good look, awesome kills!
fun watching with you guys. I wish they would have extended the beginning with Pamela a little. not a bad movie. have a great weekend
in this remake Jason gets around through secret tunnels underneath the woods and he's a perfect hunter instead of being supernatural like in the original franchise
Great reaction! 👍🏿 I didn't know that you guys are doing remake month. I think that War of The Worlds (2005) is a good suggestion.

One of my favorite entries in the series & it came out a day before my birthday.
I wish it was just a sequel. Didn’t add anything new or differentiate itself enough to be a reboot.
One of my favorite Jason’s portrayals … just like everyone else has said
