Great to see what others think about maximizing their day at my home park. My best advice is to eat at Twisted Tails Pretzels. Zambia Smokehouse is fabulous, but no theme park food, not even cinnamon bread, can beat those pretzels.
Twisted Tails pretzels is SO good. The turkey legs right as you come in the gate (I forget the name) are amazing too! I love the diversity of Tampa Busch Gardens better than anything in Orlando imo. It's more cultural and therefore more inclusive and more fun. It's not ALL tourists, it's locals, and I can appreciate that 🙂
Great advice; also worth noting there's a shuttle service from Orlando to the park that picks up and drops off at a few different locations in Orlando, this will eliminate the cost of parking. I'll likely do this when i visit the park later this year.
My brother and I visited the park a few days ago. Your guide was great! We followed it to a T. We got lucky as we arrived about 1pm and iron gwazi had just reopened, so there was only 20 mins wait. loved the park. the coasters are really fun and unique.
I was just at the park two weeks ago. Was able to get a great Airbnb right near the park. Was able to walk to it so didn't have to pay for parking. Got there early enough to be one of the first in the park when it opened. Headed straight for Iron Gwazi since that was my main reason for visiting. Got rewarded with being on the second train to leave the station. I agree with the poll on places to eat, I had lunch at Zambia Smokehouse and it was excellent. I very highly recommend eating there on your next visit.
Just got home from 6 flags great adventure today. This had to be my best experience at any park since it was completed empty. I got to ride nitro 20 times and 10 times consecutively without having to get off. I also got to ride each of the other coasters multiple times including the more family friendly ones. I know this doesn’t apply to the video at all, I just wanted to share. Also I’m going to bush gardens Tampa this summer so I can’t wait!
Dude these videos are so amazing and helpful! I always try to plan out my trips to get in as many coasters as possible. Wish you could make some for Kings Dominion or BGW, I’m heading to those parks soon.
Great video with great tips! Thanks for putting this together, I know it was a lot of work to put that together. I’ve been to Busch Gardens Tampa 4 times (once as a kid in the 80’s, on my honeymoon with the wife in 2008, and the other two times in 2018). I know it’s constantly getting new rides and exhibits. I’m so excited to take my kids and nephew next month on Fall Break. We are coaster enthusiasts and are looking forward to Iron Gwazi. We have the all day dining pass, so we’ll be eating good. Thanks again! 🎢
I like to highlight the specific African regions. I hit all the coasters in North Africa (Egypt and morocco) and see the cheetah run then I go explore Edge of Africa and Nairobi. Then I'll take the train or skyride across the plain to the Congo. These summer shows are not to be missed tho!!! INCREDIBLE VIDEO MAN!!
Yet again another fantastic 😊video just wish you would do more as I hate waiting for your next one by far the best reviews and commentary on any rollercoaster reviewer you definitely make me want to visit America keep them coming pal
I rode Kumba 30 years ago the first year it came out. Haven't been to Florida since I now have a 4 year old can't wait til he is big enough to ride the same ride I rode so long ago
Great job on this guide. I think the Skyride is done as I can't remember the last time I saw it running. I've had a platinum pass for years now and more than pays off with the parking and merch discount.
When I was there 2 weeks ago, the only ride listed as down for the day on the sign at the front of the park was Falcon's Fury and the Skyride wasn't running. Not a good sign.
Skyride should be open by the end of this summer, at least that's what all my supervisors tell me. They said they are waiting on a part that regular Ski lifts also need and ski lift resorts get priority I guess, something like that... so I've been told.
@@randomuser1397 Ok so I worked at Cheetah Hunt while my home ride was down for annual maintenance and a veteran at CH said Skyride has been down since COVID started (3 years about) and he thinks it's unlikely it will open at all in 2023. He said there's a lot that needs to be done with it and it's just not a priority rn, shame.
I'll double up on Falcons Fury. I fly planes for a living, lost my bit of adrenaline and such for reference. BUT, this ride kicks my ass. I'm always catching my breath with adrenaline at the end, it always hits me.
I visited here once in summer 2021. Word of advice. Make sure that no severe rain is in the forceast when you go. I got to the park at about 11 AM and couldn't ride anything until 6 PM because of heavy rain and lightning warnings. But, after the rain stopped and the rides started, most of the park had emptied and I got to ride every coaster that was open multiple times with my "skip the line pass." I also had a dining pass, so I was eating all day. There was a barbeque restaurant that I found in the cut near Tigris (I believe). Those ribs were killer!
i just visited this park when the wildcat video went up.......i watched that video tring to get a gwazi rain ride and while i sadly didn't, this is now one of my favorite parks ever!
I love IB Crow! My home park's mascot was was Geagua Dog (and the whole Fun Bunch). This was the late 1970s and 1980s before SF and CF got their hands on the park.
Mondays and tuesdays are the less packed days but I would recommend getting there early maybe even before it opens so you can get through quicker then others
Thank you for this. I'm going there this late August and I'm very nervous about the weather. It's supposed to be the rainiest and stormiest month. I hope that my day there won't end up rainy and shutting down all the coasters. Have you (or anyone here) been there during late August and can have any tips on a bad weather day?
Hey there, I’ve lived in Florida my whole life. Most likely worst case scenario is a couple showers adding up to a couple hours. More than likely the rain won’t last more than 20 minutes.
I'm leaving for Florida in two weeks and will be spending 6 months at Disney! I already decided to pick up a Universal Annual Pass, but still trying to decide whether to drive out to Tampa for 1-2 days.
You could probably drive down to and back up depending on what you're wanting to do.. Most the hotels in the Tampa area aren't the best. I live in Tampa and I've done day trips to Orlando. But if you are wanting to do more than one thing (the aquarium and zoo here as well as downtown area waterworks are worth visiting,) I would just find a decent area to get the hotel
Another tip is to make time for some of those shows BG offer to get out of the heat, They have a beautiful ice skating show located by cheetah hunt or a wild circus electric show located by Tigris.
This was only 8 months ago... and it's already outdated. The whole entrance to the park changed and we have a new ride, and pass member benefits changes as well. Oasis now has pasta and meatball subs... Tree Top doesn't exist, it's a pass member lounge now. Twisted has dogs, pizza, and more now as well. Congo Station hasn't been open for years... except for a brief month once last year.
Annual passes for payments ( EZpay ) is only for Florida residence, nonresident will have to pay the full amount if I’m correct. I do miss the ride again pass and i sure did abuse that lol.
Just wondering: is there any important difference between the fun card and bronze pass besides bronze being a full year? It seems like bronze just has a few basic discounts tacked on. Can you go to all Florida parks with a bronze pass? (I think it's one park only with a fun card)
There is never a wait on Montu or Kumba. And Shiekra line is not usually longer than 20 mins. Take a right and ride Cheetah hunt first then take a loop all the way around the park counter clock wise finishing with Iron Gwazi. Then just ride that as much as you want. Best place to eat is Chic Fila.
Might be a dumb question(s)… but if I’m going to be here 1 day and ride all the coasters, should I get a single day pass and unlimited quick queue? Does that cover all the coasters? Do I have to pay extra for any coasters? Thanks!!! 😄
