Always amazes me how some Brits overlook this park when they visit Orlando! A must do for any thrill seeker, Iron Gwazi, Shreikra and cheetah run top rides for me.
OMG! I completely forgot all about Bush Gardens , I haven’t been there since 1998. Thank you Frugal Brit for another amazing video. You are awesome ❤❤❤
Hey bro I'm currently in Orlando and want to thank you, because of your Disney/Universal content that I saw before coming here I had a great time with my family and had the best vacation ever, keep doing great content, cheers!
Greetings From The State Of Florida, Where I Was Born. This Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, FL 2023 Tour & Overview Is Amazing And FULLY Detailed. I LOVE How You Gave Us The Facts And Details About All The Rollercoasters, Rides, And Attractions, The Wild Animal Habitats & The Park's Restaurants. You Also Mentioned All The Park Sections And The African Theming. You're Really Good!
Love Busch Gardens, so great to see your review! Its a park where you have to be prepared for a lot of walking though as its huge, and doesn't have anywhere nearly as many dark rides or air conditioned queues / places to cool off, so it can be a tiring day, particularly for those of us from cool climates!! Amazing selection of rides & animal exhibits though!
I grew up with Busch Gardens Williamsburg as my home park, and next month I’ll be visiting Busch Gardens Tampa for the first time ever! I’m so excited for the trip and for your help understanding the park so I can get the full and best experience. Thank you!
We love Busch Gardens, and when ever we visit Orlando, consider the drive worth it. Feeding the roos and wallabies is fun. I agree, the food options are disappointing. The Serengeti Overlook used to be called The Colony House and had an all you can eat meal served family style with incredible fried chicken and catfish, but they closed it and opened the bar and another mediocre counter serve place. I love the train ride to see the animals. We miss the old free safari truck ride that had the collapsing bridge and river ride portion. Great video as always! Thanks.
We've been to Busch Gardens Tampa plenty of times before, and it's amazing, The Frugal Brit. The top FAVORITE rides and attractions for me at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, FL are: Congo River Rapids, Kumba, Jungala, Stanley Falls Flume, Tigris, SheiKra, Sesame Street Safari of Fun, Cheetah Hunt, Montu, Scorpion, and Falcon's Fury.
Been today, 20th Oct 2023. Great day out with the family. Good mix of animals and rides to enjoy. Food was expensive compared to other parks, but happily used our refill cup from a previous park. We found every interaction friendly too. The park was almost empty until mid afternoon (due to Halloween event), so every ride was a walk on.
I have been visiting Busch Gardens since 1995 when I was 13 and I absolutely adore it. I'm 42 now and visiting Florida in May with my 9 year old daughter - I'm really hoping she loves the coasters and animals as much as her Mum 😍. I really enjoy your videos thanks so much for all the fab details
Would be great to have a review of Aquatica or a single video comparing Orlando's main waterparks. Love the detail of information in your videos. Keep up the great work.
This is a great overview, so much so that I'm convinced I'm going here instead of universal in a few yrs (gotta save these trip's are pricey). I don't know why I've been sleeping on this park my whole life but maybe that's good, it will all seem new and it seems like more than a few rides have been done in the last few years. I love the idea of a zoo and theme park smashed together. They should be paying you a commission :)
Always enjoyed this park! Great top 3 of my favorite coasters (haven’t been there since 2019, so they’re the older Kumba and Cheetah Hunt and, of course Montu!) plus I’ve actually enjoyed the animal exhibits a bit more than even some of the ones at Animal Kingdom…Wonderful job as always on the video!
I had a lot of fun there. I did worry beforehand that I might not be able to stomach all the coasters but was ok in the end. Trying to find an excuse to revisit now later this year. Did not enjoy paying $16 (I think) for some dipping dots though 🤦♂️
Definitely recommend the dining pass. The platter alone at the smokehouse is $23, and its enough for two people. Thats already half the price of the dining pass and you can eat every 90mins
I think that's a very fair and honest review, Gwazi is our favourite coaster in the world, it's epic! We feel Busch Gardens and Sea World offer a lot for your money (we're British btw) but the food quality of both parks (Sea World especially is poor). The above is not enough to stop Busch gardens being our favourite park for both coasters & wildlife. Keep up the good work mate I've followed you from the beginning 👍
It isn't surprising the food quality is pretty bad. Food is usually only good for Universal and Disney, then smaller parks that were known for food like Knott's before become a coaster spot
I love my local theme park! I cant wait to be able to get fun cards/an annual pass to visit way more often. I live so close and my college is right next to it, so I am always staring at the rides on the drive to class and wishing I was there. This park is always worth the visit! The thrills and theming is soooo good.
Hello from Brazil, as always, amazing review; I went to BG in 2017, it's so different now, there are some new rides, like Iron Gwazi and Tigris, I hope come back to BG asap!
Went in 95, still one of my best theme park days ever. Remeber riding the kumba back to back without getting off, gave me a banging headache... Montu was being built, how'd you get id love to go back one day
Man i truly love and appreciate your videos..as we don't have the capability to go these places yet. Just wondering, will you someday expand your channel to cover theme parks outside orlando? It would be lovely if you do
Thank you for that! It’s something I’ve considered, but there’s so much to cover in Orlando that I don’t see myself being short on content opportunities, but never say never.
We just came back after awesome visit to Busch gardens. Highly recommend, awesome and thrilling rides but same time very smooth. Stat by going to Cheetah hunt right away, literally no queue and then go to Montu, followed by Sheikra, Tigris. We left iron gwazi for afternoon and that paid off. In the morning waiting time for Gwazi 90 minutes, in the afternoon at 2pm 20min. Awesome park, we had a great time
Thank you for this tour. I haven't been there since 1993 and now that I am retired and living back in Florida, I see that i have no need to visit Busch Gardens. It has changed so much, catering to those 40 & under. All the easy going rides to tour the park are gone and I don't do roller coasters. Guess it's back to Disney World for me!!
Great review I would recommend anyone going to orlando to take the drive out as crowds are generally a lot smaller rides are great love the zoo part of the park well worth a trip

I really hope Bush gardens stops doing these smaller attractions that take away better options (tidal wave being replaced by Tigris and rhino rally jeep tour for the new swinging ride) Congo deserves some love, alot of people have said it just seems abandoned and forgotten aside from kumbaa I also am not surprised falcons fury has been closed for so long, I went to the passholder previews as a kid and my whole family passed, and I've always not liked it bc it is so loud and sounds like a car crash every time it drops.
FB . Have always loved Bush Gardens . Although from your video I few things have changed since I was last there .Gwazi when I last went was a wooden roller coaster ! 😳. Also I don’t remember paying $30 for parking or such high prices for lockers . What I liked was value for money and great coasters . But not sure if it’s the case now . Like you highlighted drive is a real drag but really your only option besides some buses from international drive . All in all though think I would still go again . Great coverage and review as ever .🤝👍
I love the channel, it's gotten me to seriously look into flying across the world to visit some Orlando parks! I would love it if you could maybe add the metric system/kmph to describe coasters for us Europeans.
Universal Studios is amazing! I will say some rides are rough and make you dizzy, but it’s amazing. If you’re considering staying in a hotel, I recommend portofino, Hard Rock is overrated and overcrowded.
Great video! What time should we take grandkids on train and where to board in order to get to see a lot of animals before taking them for the 5pm opening of the Christmas Town part of park? Thanks!❤
This park should be much more crowded than it is, it’s a great park. My husband and our son are the thrill seekers and loved the roller coasters. My mom, who uses a mobility scooter and I are less adventurous and loved seeing the animals while they rode the coasters. We met up for lunch and then enjoyed less intense rides as a family. None of the rides or exhibits had waits over 45 minutes so we were able to see or ride just about everything. This is a great way to spend a day in Florida.
I BE IN ORLANDO FLORIDA IN JUNE I CANT WAIT TOO SEE WHAT THE RIDES BE LIKE I ONLY LIKE SLOW RIDES WITH MY FAMILY COUSINS AUNTIES MY NEICES MY SISTER AND MY BROTHER SEE YOU THERE SOON FROM KARL
Hey FB , on a personnal note is this now a full time career for you ? . Looking at clicks on your videos some are up in 80k . Woop woop 🎉 Now that’s success from where I am sitting 👍
Ive been going for all my life and the answer is yes if you like roller coasters or Zoo’s. One of the best amusement parks in Florida only beaten by Disney World in my opinion
Hi mate…unrelated question to the video…generally what are the best months to visit Orlando with kids…and do you take them out of school or go during school holidays…many thanks mate…love the channel 👍🏼
Thank you! Based on the 'mate' gonna assume you're from the uk 😉. Second half of August is the best time to avoid taking them out of school. I've taken the kids out of school for past two years, but this year will be the last for doing that I think.
As much as I enjoy busch gardens, I wish some of the attractions had better theming. Cobra's curse is the closest thing to a themed ride they have. From what I hear, they are clearing out a huge space. I'd love to see a themed indoor coaster similar to gringott's at universal to give busch gardens more variety.
I just went to Busch gardens this past weekend, and it was unfortunate that the coasters were closing and opening because of weather, so I really only got on Gwazi and Sheikra, because the lines were long, it was hot, random lightning, and probably the worst time to go, but I really just needed to ride Gwazi. And it was the most intense thing I’ve experienced.
And honestly we took a break and watched cirque electric (which was really cool!) because it was so damn hot and that building must have been like 50 degrees. We all needed a break.
I always love your detailed and honest reviews. I've not been to Busch Gardens. They have a large variety of extreme coasters and a few kid coasters but it appears nothing in between which is unfortunate. Not everyone wants multiple g force rides which is one of the things that's so attractive about Disney World. Disney has coasters anyone can enjoy. It's unfortunate the food options are less than exciting but I feel Disney World food options are not great also unless you are at Epcot. Busch Gardens is not conveniently located to Disney World and Universal which is likely why the built it there. They really have no competition being that far from Orlando. Great review as always.
Thank you for that! Appreciate the support as always. Agree about the coasters, I’m getting a little bit too old for riding 6 coasters in one day. Would be nice if they had a bit more variety with the attractions.
While this is a seasonal event and changes year to year I would love to get a review of Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, Disney's Not so scary Halloween and any other event that may happen.
So true. I guess it could be a general guild to the event and tips and tricks about the even. That and any advice one can give about people visiting Tha Park(s) at that time if year and want to expect (early park closer, the loud rock music the event has, blocked pathways in the last few hours of general admission, parking not being free and despite Univerals best efforts how several scary prop pieces are still visible and may be so scary for younger kids ect)
Here's Another Top Tip: Sitting On The RIGHT Side Of The Serengeti Express Train Will Give You The BEST Views Of The World-Famous Roller Coasters And Rides.
Another great video mate 👍🇺🇸 The best video by far on this park I've seen. I liked Busch Gardens when I went, but I didn't love it. The coasters are great for variation in just one park, and there's many of em. It's definitely the main draw because the park is a little rough around the edges, no where near as polished as Disney or Universal, and the ride closures are a real issue. I think there were 3 or 4 attractions closed we wanted to go on when we went. Overall it's a decent park but I'm not planning on returning in April/May.
Thank you Lee! Yeah I’ve heard similar things. Thought it was nicer than I expected based on last visit, but quite distracted in trying to film the attractions.
Busch Gardens is the best Amusement park I’ve been to before. It’s worth it go to Busch Gardens Tampa bay it’s super fun most of the rides are rly big and they all go rly fast just if you go to Busch Gardens Tampa go on all the big rides there I just don’t do the small rides like scorpion. If you’re just trying to go for a day it’s worth it but the day one ticket and pass are very expensive and the passes are expensive too other than that I recommend you to go to Busch Gardens Tampa!
the first thing is that The florida mall it’s closed at 9:PM oh when today yes it is closing time at the american girl doll store in orlando, fl that’s on you⏰ 3:48
Im trying to book just busch gardens tickets for when I go in May and on the busch gardens website it has an option for the ultimate ticket bundle (expensive) but I assumed you get the all day dining and unlimited fast pass but when clicking on that it comes up saying add on the all day dining and fast pass? So what is the ultimate ticket bundle? Can someone advise me please if you get that included because if not what the heck are you paying all the extra for? Many thanks
Hi, I wanted to know if anyone has visited the park these last few days or if any locals could tell me how the weather is lately. I'm taking a trip from South America to Orlando and I'm taking a day to visit Busch Gardens. I've been told that the rides are the best (really the only thing I care about the park, I'm not a big fan of zoos), but that lately the strong rides are closed due to bad weather. Is this still the case? I would be very grateful if someone could give me an answer. Regards
This is a good park; it has great safaris and coasters. The coasters were definitely too much for my husband who gets motion sickness anything beyond the MK, but the park is well balanced and a great time for one full day.
As someone who goes to Sea World and Busch gardens often, I could dispute and correct most of the negative comments you made and explain them thoroughly, but I'll leave that be. To anyone that enjoys coasters, animals, and one of the best theme parks in America, Busch gardens is the place to visit. I don't have a family or little kids of my own as that makes going to somewhere like Disney more up their alley. But in my particular case, Busch Gardens is superior to the Universal and Disney parks in Orlando.
I’m so disappointed with Busch gardens. The only thing I’m interested in is the Serengeti Xpress and according to this video, I need to pay an extra $40 for a good view.
Update from a local. Sand serpent, Busch flyers, motorcycles, and baby train are all closed in pantopia now. Being removed for new things. Falcons fury is now open also.
Hi, I was planning going in October. Are the rest of attractions open these days? Or better said, is it worth the visit? Thanks in advance.

Didn’t they close sand serpent to replace it with another ride?
@@mellonpoop1344 yes BGT is opening a B&M family invert called falcons flight which will open in summer 2024
Yes. They build phoenix rising which actually just opened. It needed the space of where all these smaller rides were.

Looking forward to that! 😁
You should do I ride guide prediction video, then compare to the one when it opens
i got to do every ride i wanted to do without a fast pass, in peak spring break time, and still had time to eat, explore, and shop (+ 2 hours to spare) here's what I did:
iron gwazi rope drop
cheetah hunt (i would reccomend doing this first because after iron gwazi this had an hour wait while gwazi still only had a 40)
lunch + planning, the rest I would do based off of how long the wait time is seen in the app.
tigris
sheikra
kumba
river rapids
exploring while drying off
cobras curse
montu
dinner
shop + explore more
iron gwazi once more at night (if you only wanna ride once i'd reccomend night, similar wait time and way cooler)
leave
hope this helps someone visiting! I loved this park, but if you are planning ahead i'd recommend buying a fast pass way ahead of your trip, it can be as low as $30! and then you can go on coasters twice or have more time for exploring, but if not it's fine too! you will still have lots of time.

😁👍
Ain’t no way bro give mommy her phone back
Brilliant video 👍
Hey FB , on a personnal note is this now a full time career for you ? . Looking at clicks on your videos some are up in 80k . Woop woop 🎉 Now that’s success from where I am sitting 👍
No not a full time thing, but probably make it so if I wanted to. Will see how the next 12 months. Not the most stable of careers lol!
@@TheFrugalBrit understand . Whatever you decide I am sure you will make it a success 🤝
Ive been going for all my life and the answer is yes if you like roller coasters or Zoo’s. One of the best amusement parks in Florida only beaten by Disney World in my opinion
Hard to argue against!
Yep English as can be mate😂…do you have any issues taking kids outta school…the prices in school holidays are so much more expensive…
What a review!
This park looks amazing
During my visit I found that there was very few places to sit and cool down, which is especially bad considering the heat in Florida
Yeah that’s fair
I've done the penguin and the open top safari well worth the upcharge !
Thanks for sharing Niall!
I get go to there on a field trip at my school and it will be my first time
How'd you like it? I haven't been since Cheetah Hunt first opened.
Favorite park! For those of you who are hot….go on a water ride to cool off. Rides and animals!
So glad this is my home park I love it here
Please do a review of Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Virginia. It has an old Europe theme.
Maybe one day 😁
I just went to Busch gardens this past weekend, and it was unfortunate that the coasters were closing and opening because of weather, so I really only got on Gwazi and Sheikra, because the lines were long, it was hot, random lightning, and probably the worst time to go, but I really just needed to ride Gwazi. And it was the most intense thing I’ve experienced.
And honestly we took a break and watched cirque electric (which was really cool!) because it was so damn hot and that building must have been like 50 degrees. We all needed a break.
You managed to get on my two favourites!
@@TheFrugalBrit both were incredible! Sheikra is so much fun, and Iron Gwazi is just an insane experience!
It's a shame they closed crown colony house, their unlimited fried chicken was spectacular 👌
Thanks Kevin. Yeah I have considered doing a HHN video, but like you say, is a bit tricky because of the seasonality of it.
Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens September/October. Christmas Town November/December
I'm going there this summer
Let's go :) esketitt ❤❤❤
I remember you lol!
@@TheFrugalBrit my arm was only in the video lol man
Have a video of Adventure Island next door? Its a fun water park.
Here's Another Top Tip: Sitting On The RIGHT Side Of The Serengeti Express Train Will Give You The BEST Views Of The World-Famous Roller Coasters And Rides.
Chic-fill-et is the best place for fried chicken, it’s all cooked in peanut oil and tastes epic!
I love it!
Another great video mate 👍🇺🇸
The best video by far on this park I've seen.
I wish seaworld and bgt had resort hotels walking distance to the parks.
There’s a rumor that the two Busch Gardens parks might get one
That would be cool!
Can't wait to take my family
😁👍
Thoughts on needing a quick queue pass on a Tuesday in September. Worth it or not?
I would doubt it personally
Can you wear bum bags / fanny packs on the coasters or do they need checked in to a locker too?
Florida has it all!
So your able to see animals throughout the park ? And then if you want to get closer you can pay individually for each ? Am i getting this right ?
Sort of. But not for every animal.
@@TheFrugalBrit okay make sense thank you.
the first thing is that The florida mall it’s closed at 9:PM oh when today yes it is closing time at the american girl doll store in orlando, fl that’s on you⏰ 3:48
Im trying to book just busch gardens tickets for when I go in May and on the busch gardens website it has an option for the ultimate ticket bundle (expensive) but I assumed you get the all day dining and unlimited fast pass but when clicking on that it comes up saying add on the all day dining and fast pass? So what is the ultimate ticket bundle? Can someone advise me please if you get that included because if not what the heck are you paying all the extra for? Many thanks
This looks great place 5o to me its a stuffed up cold none stop coughing and snising my name is Heather
What is the ticket fair for this garden
I wouldn’t go as animal kingdom is better and this looks and feels like Australian dreamworld
I am not a rollercoaster enthusiast, i am fucking scared. LOL.
can not wait their mang release witch one the park closes at 7: thirty PM in 2023😂 aren’t they yeah they’re going to shut that ride down oh okay
how you gon have a chifla in a theme park and they still be closed sundays????
Crazy!
Nice video but I don't think Cheetah Hunt has consistently been ranked as one of the best rollercoasters in the world.
Fair enough!
Universal has the same parking charge of 30 dollars.
Ive lived in Tampa for 5 years now still havnt been.
How is this park differnt than the one in Virginia?
Never been to BGW, but I hear it has better scenery etc, but thrill rides not as good as BGT.
@@TheFrugalBritthere used to be a BG in California but it closed
Went once
This BG is animal themed, African and Indian mostly. The one in Williamsburg is European themed.
witch ever the park closes at 7: thirty PM in 2023
I’m so disappointed with Busch gardens. The only thing I’m interested in is the Serengeti Xpress and according to this video, I need to pay an extra $40 for a good view.
Serengeti express is free, but the Serengeti safari is $40 👍
As a local, BGT is totally worth it. Except Tigris, Tigris sucks.
