Is this history repeating?!
The Chinese are about to prove to the world how full of shit the Swiss are for charging what they charge for watches. The Chinese will give you similar quality for 1/10 the price….
@@tayloremriectxthe Swiss are not full of shit, and I’m sure the Chinese don’t see it that way either. Something is only worth what people are prepared to pay for it. Congrats on hitting 100k subs! Nice to see Behrens getting some coverage, have been keeping an eye on them for a few years now. Just checked the link --this one is not for me but they have other nice options in their site, although prices are high for a relatively unknown Chinese brand.
The look of the mechanism is intriguing. The details are quite refined and even spectacular, but the whole thing is spoiled by the bubble glass, which gives a toyish effect to the whole. The flat backhand is much more serious. It looks more like a $13.50 watch than a $13,500 one.
This is so cool, love the design and purple gems, very diff from the typical rubies we see. And the gold tourbillon is gorgeous. Really love this, thanks for the share. I hadn't heard of this brand before, but 13k is a really great price for this kind of intricacy
I had absolutely zero interest in watches a month ago. I couldn't tell the difference between a nice Timex and one of these $50,000 watches. I've been watching videos and enjoying what I've been learning and gaining a tremendous amount of respect for in particular manual timepieces. I was becoming a fan. Over the last few days I have had a number of clone watch videos pop up in my feed. I was starting to really respect the clone watches and even watches in the 200 $300 watch category.. I will say that this video right here today has changed my mind entirely about watches. The fact that this watch cost $14,000 is insane to me. It seems to me that the value of these high dollar watches is truly just subjective because even unlike a painting these watches all tell time. Yes some of the parts are a little less expensive and maybe not as absolutely precise but good enough and they look wonderful and a lot of times still goes into them. I was already starting to doubt the value of these watches but this video right here really just put the kibosh on what I thought was going to become a little bit of a hobby. There are plenty of nice watches in the $200 range. This has become a hobby that only the super rich should be part of because it's essentially just a game. Looks like most folks are buying watches that aren't even the value that they think anyway. I'm done and thanks for opening my eyes. It's a nice interesting watch but nope.
Wait till you see some Rolex watches, brand new at 70K, always lacking in stock and offered in resale market for 200K. Talking about not getting value for money.
Yeah i had a similar conclusion, luxury watches are generally VERY overpriced. It's actually crazy how many people are willing to spend this much, even when they're not even rich, rather they save up for it. Seems like robbery to me. My car cost less than this watch, albeit in 2012 but whatever. I think the sweet spot is around 500$-1k, most stuff above that price point and you're not paying for quality as much as you're paying for brand name and exclusivity... That being said the watch i wear the most is a sub 200 dollar watch that i love. :)
Pretty funky watch there. I think I'd be afraid to wear it given that I've been known to bump my watch against the table/ desk or door. That crystal might break if it were on my wrist.
If China could build a space station, then we should not be sceptical about thier abilities. It's a matter of time they will brand themselves above the rest in watch industry. Don't panic though when the time comes. 😅
Only one space station right now and that's China with the only other Mars rover currently with the U.S. patrolling on Mars. Huawei, EV cars, space exploration and military is crushing competition.
I love the innovation! But looking at the close-up photos, the finishing is not up to the level I would expect from this price point. There are visible burrs on some of the parts, paint/coating is wearing of others and the graining/brushing is very coarse. This certainly has potential, but they really need to step up their finishing.
What's the competition of making complications exquisite yeah if you want to keep up in the market you're going to have to sit there make something pretty cool. I'm actually surprised they didn't steal or copy a design
