We played thrash metal for our bread and butter ,but listened to,and recorded all the old school NYC DJ's spin the real hip hop artists on the radio on cassettes in our private time ! Wow ,do I have some amazing cassettes from 85'-90' !

If you’re talking early 90’s, it’s more Naughty by Nature, Onyx, EPMD, ATCQ, Pharcyde, Das EFX, Pete Rock and CL...maybe Wu Tang than Big and Tupac. They only really blew up in the mid 90’s.
