My GoD !!!!! 😮 ..... ThaT Patch 3.00mins. ❤❤😊😊😊 Pure Analog Bliss 🎉 Can't believe I haven't seen this before, I thought you'd only done a couple of Odyssey videos !!!!! What a fantastic Treat 😊😊jaffa Jenkins jams
That was soooo lovely. I could listen to this stuff for days! I sold mine a few years back and regretted it ever since. It's back on my shopping list. Can't weigh up if to go for a 2nd hand Korg or a new Behringer with built in sequencer. They sound indistinguishable.
Just Incredible Sound 🔊 😮😮😮❤😊 Just finished watching the whole video and Really am speechless 😶 Every Patch was just Heavenly Bliss, my Odysseys in for some serious Button Pushing ❤❤😊Jaffa Jenkins
Very nice. I recently rearranged my gear so I have direct access to my Arp 2600m. The oscillators have a similar depth. Nice. Love the filter sweeps. 12:38
I didn’t get an Odyssey but I did order a Behringer CAT (Odyssey “copy”) which should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to all the modulation and wave shape blending possibilities. Looks like I’ll be able to achieve some similar tones.
Nice! Sounds great. I’ve got an Avatar that I’ve been wanting to send to the legendary Jareth Lackey for a bit,the Oddy sound is so diverse and fun! ⚡️
I feel ya bruv. 😊 it's Videos like this that stopped me Too , 😮 it's a Beautiful Beast when you learn how to hit the Sweet spots ❤❤😊 Jaffa Jenkins jams
I particularly love the modular stuff but I definitely appreciate the odd fixed-architecture adventure. I'd love to see more. Keep it up and good luck for your 10k goal, you've earned it. Have you considered the arp 2600 mini?
@@elisundelson I really think Moog and Arp are very complimentary. The Arp tone can sound really nice sitting above the Moog, doing arps, leads, effects. And it's really nice for those times you want a melodic bass sound that sits higher in the register and doesn't completely dominate the lows and lower mids of a mix. Prophet is complimentary too, but maybe a bit more overlap with the Moog, especially on the Pro-one. But Pro-800 and Poly D would make a nice pair. Because both can do tearing great bass or lead, both can do chords, but the Pro-800 gives you so much more voices. And lets the Poly-D be a four-osc bass monster. MS-20 is another interesting alternative to the Odyssey if it's the stranger sounds you like, and it's also great for more screaming leads (where Odyssey is more refined / less aggressive sounding).
@@compucorder64 Aaaah haha you're gonna make me go broke!! Thank you though, I do appreciate the thoughtful advice. Synth-wise, I also have a Juno 106, Korg Poly 800 and some other random stuff so I feel like I should prob spend more quality time with those before giving in to my never-ending gear lust..but you do make excellent points!
@@elisundelson Take your time, as you said, spend time getting to know the very nice synths you already have. I miss my old Roland JX-3P (a cousin to your Juno), but I didn't really have enough space for it here.
Tough question! I’ve recently got the 4ms ensemble oscillator and I’m really loving it so far. As for an analogue oscillator I like the variable waveform generator.

I’m really lusting after the 2600 recently!

Hi. Superb channel of yours. Do you actually use the onboard fx?.
Thank you! I have explored them a bit ~ the pitch ones are really fun!
What a great sound! Question - what was your video where you used an old mic and sang a bit over a modular patch? I can't find it again!
Thank you! If I recall correctly I did that in a video about Rings + Beads ☺️
👏👍
Nice, one question thus, Is this a Behringer sponsored video ? Cause the Odyssey is a Korg synth that exists since long.
Thanks! It’s actually an Arp synth which Korg recently cloned, as did Behringer. It’s not a sponsored video :)
please unperson, try the odyssey modular version please
I’ve been eyeing up the 2600 for a while…

Have you considered the arp 2600 mini?
Thanks! I think about the 2600 often lol
Haha I was wondering how long it would take for the Microcosm to show up! Rings into Microcosm next? ;)
Great idea!!
Your odyssey videos are making me consider replacing my Poly D with an odyssey. Do you think I should do it?
Hmm! It depends.. do you use chords much? I’ve never tried the Poly-D but it sounds decent in the videos I’ve watched :)
@@TheUnperson I definitely play chords. Maybe I just need to sit down and spend more time with it (instead of just watching videos of synths haha)

Hey man whats your favorite oscillator?

@@TheUnperson you should do a deep dive video on it lol
@joeymc5272 once I’ve learnt it’s secrets 😉
@@TheUnperson lol sounds good. For some reason i thought you were going to say plaits since you are into rings and beads a lot
