Thinking about doing this to my DRZ but will have to check the clearance with my aftermarket tank to be sure they'll work. The stock mirrors for now don't bother me and are doing a good job.
Top video! been looking for ages to find some under bar mirrors for my XR 400 and didn't realize that bar end mirrors dismantle like that! thumbs up from me (Y)
If you still reply, what is the diameter of your clamp? i bought a bar end mirror and tried putting it on but my bar is to thick to fit it arount. But idk if i'm doing something wrong!
my diameter is 25mm but i can't find how thick my bar is, if you can find out how thick the steering wheel of a Rieju MRT Pro SM 50 2021 is that would help out a lot!
Great vid, very useful, just a question: how do you "fill" the base of the previous mirrors? As you know, they were screwed on the "base". It's a bit ugly to see that "empty space", any suggestion?
Has anyone ever tried these type of mirrors and found that they just don't fit your handlebars? I'm trying on my '13 drz400 and even after grinding the inner edge down to make them loser, they still won't fit no matter what I do. Ideas?
Hmmm. Not sure. Sometimes the handlebars are very packed with gear, especially something with lots of controls on the bars. You may just have to go further inward with them. Would that work?
Durable and good quality? Nope, not at all. But they will last you a very long time having said that. I ride on the dirt and stack it all the time as you know if you have watched my videos. They only snap if I land down hard on them. They have never just broken or fallen off on their own. So I guess they are pretty durable and decent quality after all. And if you are not riding offroad much on your x, they should last you a very long time.
Hey mate. These fit 22mm bars only. Unfortunately they won't fit that size bar unless you can get them super close to where the grip sits as it they all taper down to 22mm as far as I know.
These are simply from e-bay. You just search for Bar End mirrors and they are always there. They are generic so they should fit most bikes the way I have mounted them.
i got same 1s still cant see jack shit in them lol no matter where ya set them some bars have pins for throttle housing to sit in so you cant move the throttle housing
Another question, I just bought www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007KPXDK2 them, but I have a ktm 690 smc r. The mirrors are too loose, I was looking for strengthening them, but don't know how. Any tips? I think maybe a longer screw would fix it, doesn't it? Thanks for the help
Hey mate. They look similar to mine. The trick with mine is to tighten the bolt that is closest to the mirror first, all the way, till it is super tight, then do the other one on the other side of the bar. If this is still not working. You could possibly pack out around the ball on the end of the mirror arm to give the clamp more to clamp onto.
hahah thanks mate. I wasn't sure if that's what he meant though.... So, cons: They are cheap and nasty and the little allan bolts can thread easily if you are not careful.

What tank is it? I have the biggest Safari tank and it is no problems at all. Even with the tank bag on.

I think I'm messaging you on FaceBook. Sounds like you might need to file some of the inside of the clamp down to fit. @@TriceRUclips

I have found the right sized bolts and just chucked a bolt in there to neaten it up.

+Veloxzr That's a real bummer mate! You might have really thick bars or something. Not sure what you could really try apart from different bars.
dont install on a curve as the bar changes shape too much. lol 2 yeas later
Buy long bolts
the controls of my wr450f are in the way, it seems like theres no way to get the mirrors nicely placed, am i doing something wrong ?

Thanx joejoe
Glad I could help out. Thanks for commenting.
Nice modification I have same one blue color I will do modify and install on my machine Royal Enfield Classic 350cc
Thanks for watching mate. Good luck!
How do you mount these on fat bars is there any that are big enough to fit
I'm not sure if they will fit full fat bars mate.
@@JoeJoeMoto they don’t pal haha a tried
I've bought the same mirrors on eBay, but the clamps wont fit on my bar. They're too small?
The clamps are too small or your bars are too small? What bike/bars are you fitting them to?
Great video!
Thanks mate. I hope it helps some people out.
Are these mirrors durable and good quality? cause i really want to get a pair for my wr125x but it seems like 10 dollars or so is a little cheap

i want to mount them under my bar also, but i have pro tapper CR HIGH's and the bar is 1-1/8 thick, will these work?

Does it fit 7/8 22m bars?
Yeah, pretty sure they do mate. It's been a long time since I did a pair, but yes, I think they should.

Where I can get that mirror I have Honda crf 260 please tell me

Oh no, that's no good at all. What bike and what bars is it running?
@@JoeJoeMoto wr 125 x with stock bars as it keeps the bike value being as much stock as possible as they dont make original wr parts anymore
Great video

JoeJoe Moto how can I "pack out around the ball"?
Tommaso Timpano I would first try it out with something simple like some little squares of cardboard or fabric to see if it works.
JoeJoe Moto do you think it would work with some insulation tape around the ball? to make it thicker
Tommaso Timpano Yeah, electrical tape should work. Just keep wrapping some on and trying it until it gets tight enough.
cons?
This might have got lost in translation mate. What do you mean by "cons"?
"The pros and cons of something are its advantages and disadvantages, which you consider carefully so that you can make a sensible decision."
hahah thanks mate. I wasn't sure if that's what he meant though.... So, cons: They are cheap and nasty and the little allan bolts can thread easily if you are not careful.
i dont know about cheap chinese ebay mirrors but i have the exact same ones here and mine are Ballards brand from MXstore.com.au for $35
Hey mate. Yeah, I love MXStore. But I break the mirrors far too often and just go for the cheapest.
