great video , is it auto record when i use the intelligent mode or do i have to manually press the record button , or does it have an auto record options , tnx.
Hi there i have DJi Mavic pro and i dont have the symbol on the left side off the remote control to choose which flight mode i want for example tracking mode, follow me, interest of point And so on, i have reinstall the dji app but same problem again does any one have any ideas what could be wrong.??? Thank you
One use of Spotlight Mode is to have the drone remain stationary (as if it were on the top of a pole) and track an object. What is not covered by mode explanatory videos on Spotlight Mode is using it to lock on to a subject while you freely adjust the right stick for direction of travel or the left stick for altitude changes. Using it in this way makes it one of my favorite modes.
I like it how you are clear and concise. Very smooth how you present yourself and your tone makes it easy for me to understand. Thumbs up and subscribed.
Thanks a lot for the explanations. It really takes a lot of time to figure out all these functionalities on my own, time which I don't really have. I own the Mavic 2 Zoom and only came to appreciate the power of its software after I bought it. DJI continues to impress me.
Just got mine this morning and only did a quick test but I will try modes tomorrow. I found the drone to be very reactive so the cinematic mode will be veey handy! Great vid! I subscribed.
You forgot to mention TRIPOD mode, which I use a lot, because most of my pictures are night cityscapes. Some of the flight modes are very similar to one another. It is just a matter of learning what you can achieve with each one, and use the ones that best suits your taste, in my opinion. Also, for me, I always try to film everything using my fingers on the remote; I consider it a lot more fun that way. Thanks for the video!
Awesome video! Just subscribed. Regarding Cinematic Mode: actually my first crash was related to this, and lots of user error on my part. It was windy, and I knew Cinematic Mode slowed the movements, softened the turns and starts and stops, but I didn’t realize it also slowed the overall speed of the drone, which was a problem because of the wind. I pushed the battery way past what was safe, making very little progress because of the reduced overall speed of the mode. I almost got it back but I landed in a tree and hit every branch on the way down. Hard lesson.
Keep up the good work, Mike. I really like your videos. They're always clear, to the point and well done. I especially like this one, because I just got the Mavic 2 zoom, and I'm wanting to try some of the Intellegent Flight Modes, but it's nice to see the screen shots you showed, and the good explanations behind them. Makes a big difference to me. Marc T.
Really like your informative video as all of your videos, but I primarily wanted to know details about the tripod mod and it seems you missed this one. Did I miss it or did you?
Just received my Mavic 2 Zoom today! Thank you so much for sharing with the rest of us. This is exactly what I needed to give myself a little confidence to try them out tomorrow morning without fear of losing my baby ;-)
Thanks for the Video - We just upgraded from the Mavic Mini to Mavic 2 Pro. In the Mavic 2 Pro Quickshots for circle how do you set manually the radius distance for this feature? Thank you
Fantastic video, learnt so much! Just a quick question, in quickshot, in the boomerang mode, are the sensors active? I wanted to take one earlier at the beach but there was a 5 metre cliff behind me so I was unsure if it would automatically fly up over it. Thank you!
Are only the front and back sensors available for obstacle avoidance during Quick shots? It looks like the sides (left and right) are unavailable during quick shots, is this correct??
Thank you for posting this, it made things little clear about the different modes. One question I do have for this, is there any way to increase the count down timer from 3 seconds to say 5 seconds? Thank you
I am trying to do some fly overs for our golf course. I’m trying to do a POI (either circle, helix, or boomerang) around the green complexes. My problem is that I can’t pick a POI (ie, center of the green) using the green box feature. Any recommendations? I can free fly using sticks but hoping something easier.
Nice overview. I am looking forward to the Waypoints Intelligent Flight Mode which, in the User Manual, is "coming soon". Apparently, you can define BOTH (1) waypoints and (2) a Point of Interest. The drone will fly the waypoint path while keeping the cameral aimed at the Point of Interest. Hopefully, you can share that capability when it comes.
Honestly, I might have used a couple of those Intelligent modes but mainly trust my fingers to move the RC sticks. It takes a lot of practice but I've been able to capture great footage relying on manual flying the drone.
HellO! Nice work! I do have a quick question... can any of these Quick Shot Modes be used fairly close up? In other words, can you have the drone fly just 6 feet away from you and perform a circle or helix move?
Hi Mike, I have a question for you. I have a Mavic 2 Pro myself. I lent it to a friend. All icons of "ALL Intelligent Flight Modes" appear on the display are no longer visible. He accidentally removed "ALL Intelligent Flight Modes" from the icons display. My question, how do I make them appear on the display again. Hope you can help me
Interesting video ! I was wondering if it is possible to reproduce a given flight (POI for example) ? Basically I was thinking going to the same place as a first flight and launch it again ? Thanks for your response ;)
Is this for the Mavic 2 Pro? I can't understand why I'm not seeing the things you are showing like Dronie, Circle, Helix, rocket, boomerang and asteroid?
Please, do you have a video or can you tell me how to turn "Active Track" and those features OFF. When I hit the Big Red X to turn it off it still has little green circles on the screen wanting me to select something to track. Do I have to land and reset everything to turn it off or is there another way on the iPad mini 4? Thank you in advance.
on the screen you're supposed to hit the quick shot button just underneath the return to home button and when you get the big screen to choose a "quick shot" choose NORMAL. It'll be the remote control icon.
Question: If i put The Mavic 2 pro On cinematic mode or any other Intelligent Mode , and i want it to stop it in the middle of the action , what best way to do that ?
Great video! Is it possible to use active track mode to follow an object that is not you while you have the controller? I tried to use active track to track a friend of mine who was across from me but was unable to do. Drone did not follow him at all even though the green circle was locked onto him.
Great review! Does the omni directional sensing works ok in active track mode? In old mavic, only in trace mode was ok, all of the rest were saying that obstacle detection wont work. Second question, have you tried to follow something with active track while descending, e.g. skiing or mtbiking, because again in old version it was not descending well.
Say thanks for the demo. But I have a question about the green round and sometimes red & green icon next to the satellite indicator icon, what is it indicating? Thanks
I found out the front sensors and rear sensors work in the Position/GPS hold mode and do not in the lateral sensors do not. If you put it in Tripod mode all the sensors work. I wonder if you can zoom while doing a point of interest orbit? Any feed back... I would like to know.
ActiveTrack...so I want to use filming with a boat. Can you be flying the drone and select subject such as a wakeboarder. ActiveTrack is not really fully explained too well. Like in Spotlight, the drone doesn't really move. Also the slider is difficult to manage. Can you do a full review of Active Track.
Mavic 2 Pro - bit.ly/ShopMavicPro2

Quickshots - 4:30
Active Track - 6:30
Point of Interest - 8:16

Sport mode - 12:10
great video , is it auto record when i use the intelligent mode or do i have to manually press the record button , or does it have an auto record options , tnx.
YOU FORGOT TRIPOD MODE ! The one reason i watchd
Hi there i have DJi Mavic pro and i dont have the symbol on the left side off the remote control to choose which flight mode i want for example tracking mode, follow me, interest of point And so on, i have reinstall the dji app but same problem again does any one have any ideas what could be wrong.??? Does the Mavic 2 Pro still have the “FOLLOW ME MODE”? I tried to look for it but I couldn’t find it anywhere.
Great video - all of the info I wanted in one place. Very nice job.
Bro, thank you, I haven't used intelligent flight yet, but I'm charged and ready to get out today! Thanks for the valuable info!
Very well explained!
THIS WAS THE MOST INFORMATIVE VIDEO OUT THERE THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome Dave ;)
Great video and super informative! I've been putting off using these modes as i get familiar with the drone, so this was just what I needed.

Have had my mavic 2 pro almost a year now, never used these functions until I watched your video, thank you!
Thanks a bunch. Really helpful. I took almost two pages of notes and now ready to experiment on each mode.
very helpful I will watch this again for the fourth time... Keep up the great work...
Every detail explained with accuracy and simplicity. Great video!
Thank you a good introduction I will try and go and practice what I learnt tomorrow
I like it how you are clear and concise. Very smooth how you present yourself and your tone makes it easy for me to understand. Thumbs up and subscribed.

New to Drone flying and loved this tutorial. Many thanks

I can't find the tripod mode.. how do I use tripod mode
Loved it mate! Just on time I never operated the modes because I was too scared that it would fall down but not because of you Im a bit confident
Me too 😅
how to reduce speed drone while in circle mode?
I always come back when I i take out my MP2. Need to practice more, but this saves me hours. Thanks
I'm getting the Mavic 2 zoom tomorrow and i'm super exited
Thanks! Just got my drone and this video helped a lot!
Thank you very much for sharing those tips with us, dude.
Great video straight to the point very easy to understand and all useful info. Thanks for sharing
Perfect informational video. A short and to the point video that quickly explains the Intelligent flight modes. Thank you.
This is an awesome tutorial! Exactly what I was looking for. Subscribed!
This is a very useful/informative video for a new M2P user. Thanks
Pretty good info! All those modes, can you also do videos or is just for photo shoots?
Very very nice and informative tutorial Brother ❤thanks a lot..
thank you... very helpful.. will def watch this again....

Definitely learned a couple tricks 👌
Very informative and to the point. Exactly what is needed. Many thanks.
Good video, my only comment would be perhaps turn off the 'grid' overlay it is so distracting when trying to concentrate on what your showing.
Good point, i'll remember for next time, thanks! :)
Very well done with great clarity!!!
Tripod Mode, Follow me, Terrain Follow, Homelock and Course lock ??
Good job! Excellent communication, explaining and instruction!
Thank you so much Mike for this beautifully explained Tutorial. appreciate your valuable time to help the community. keep up the good work!

This video helped me with my Mavic Pro 2. Thanks
Superb and short explanation of all the video modes!. This was exactly what I was looking for without watching 4 hours of video. Nice channel btw!
Really like your informative video as all of your videos, but I primarily wanted to know details about the tripod mod and it seems you missed this one. Did I miss it or did you?

Hey awesome video I would like to know how to take the test for flying when you first get the Mavic 2 pro started?
Can you control the camera settings while in the different intelligent flight modes, or before entering any of the flight modes?
Right now it seems that you can't.. so until DJI updates their firmware, i'd stay away from the intelligent flight modes.
Update.... I have flown my Mavic 2 twice. I would like to switch the compass icon and the map icon on my iPad Mini 4's screen. Can you do that?
Thanks for the Video - We just upgraded from the Mavic Mini to Mavic 2 Pro. In the Mavic 2 Pro Quickshots for circle how do you set manually the radius distance for this feature? Thank you
in course lock hyperlapse mode, you can select an orientation and then select an object just like circle mode.
Cheers buddy, gonna use your tips right now by a lake in Rome. Ciao!
Great video lots of things to learn . Thanks for your time and expertise on these intelligent flight modes .
awesome a big help for me whose planning to get a mavic 2
Fantastic video, learnt so much! Just a quick question, in quickshot, in the boomerang mode, are the sensors active? I wanted to take one earlier at the beach but there was a 5 metre cliff behind me so I was unsure if it would automatically fly up over it. Thank you!
Yes they’re active but instead of flying up over it, the drone will most probably just stop and hover, so you’ll need to be aware of that
Thanks very much for the reply! It’s some peace of mind to know that at least it won’t just keep flying
Are only the front and back sensors available for obstacle avoidance during Quick shots? It looks like the sides (left and right) are unavailable during quick shots, is this correct??
Brilliant video! Very informative, thanks 😊

Great video. Thanks! I have subscribed and shared it. I'm going to buy a Mavic 2 Zoom. Does it have the same intelligent modes?
I am trying to do some fly overs for our golf course. I’m trying to do a POI (either circle, helix, or boomerang) around the green complexes. My problem is that I can’t pick a POI (ie, center of the green) using the green box feature. Any recommendations? I can free fly using sticks but hoping something easier.
this video is amazing thanks man!! any way you can tell us what tare the best camera settings (frame rates) for these modes
How much time it takes to complete the hyperlapse since the drone's battery life is so short?
Course Lock ahora está integrado en Tap Fly, pero ¿dónde está ahora el modo Home Lock? ¿Ha desaparecido?. Gracias. Saludos desde España.
Nice video - - Thanks for posting
Cheers
Honestly, I might have used a couple of those Intelligent modes but mainly trust my fingers to move the RC sticks. It takes a lot of practice but I've been able to capture great footage relying on manual flying the drone.

Great video bro! Thanks!!
I'm discovering your channel ! thanks a lot for these contents. Lot's of things really well and simply explained in this vidéo. thanks again !
We need some updated DJI Mavic 2 Pro videos bud
Very good informative video. More please
Nice and simple and what o was looking for to watch before I go out with my Mavic 2 Pro tomorrow to mess around.

Hi Mike,

He accidentally removed "ALL Intelligent Flight Modes" from the icons display. My question, how do I make them appear on the display again.

Great video and explaining 👌
Nicely explained really useful features! Thanks
This was excellent!!! Thanks for sharing
Thank you sooo much for this video! Soo helpful right now!
You're welcome Andres! Glad to hear the video is helping :)
Interesting video ! I was wondering if it is possible to reproduce a given flight (POI for example) ? Basically I was thinking going to the same place as a first flight and launch it again ? Thanks for your response ;)
Are they safe? I mean what if there are obstacles and you use these intelligent fligt mode. Will it avoid them?
Which is better, Mavic 2 Zoom or Evo II Drone?
Hey man! What's the difference between quickshit circle mode vs point of interest? Thanks!
thank you..very good explanation
Is this for the Mavic 2 Pro? I can't understand why I'm not seeing the things you are showing like Dronie, Circle, Helix, rocket, boomerang and asteroid?
Check if your switch on the remote controller is on "P" mode, if you're in sport mode you might not see any intelligent flight modes.
What about tripod mode? I believe it is not the same as cinematic mode....did you forgot it? Thnx 4 the rest really nice video...
Thank you Great tutorial
Great overview! Thank you.
great job, awesome video.
How do you pick the subject during quick shots or hyperlapse modes.
Question:
If i put The Mavic 2 pro On cinematic mode or any other Intelligent Mode , and i want it to stop it in the middle of the action , what best way to do that ?
Great video! Is it possible to use active track mode to follow an object that is not you while you have the controller? I tried to use active track to track a friend of mine who was across from me but was unable to do. Drone did not follow him at all even though the green circle was locked onto him.
Great video! Thanks for making it !
No worries!
very useful information ... thank you so much.

Second question, have you tried to follow something with active track while descending, e.g. skiing or mtbiking, because again in old version it was not descending well.
Whats the reason behind them not activating sensors around the auto modes. I wluld.think that is when you meed kt
I would like to know.
good video but the orange and teal color grade is too much on your face. lower that saturation
Nice video sir..... & ......thanks for sharing knowledge.
Can you do one using the smart controller?
in quickshots, will the drone follow object if its moving?
Great Job! Thank You!
Good work. Keep the videos coming mate 👍🏽
can i change the flight mode when the drohne is flying, or do i have to land to switch between the intelligent flight modes? thanks for your help
