problem with this drone is that is was Wayyy to good when it came out and still now when its many years after it's release. this drone is still a killer!
Thank you for making this 2024 review of the Mavic 2 Pro. I just purchased one used and it's an amazing drone. I've had several beginner type drones. This is a whole new world for me. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Steve in Minnesota
Thanks you for your support! I’m glad my review was helpful for you! Don’t forget to fly safe and enjoy your new drone! My Regards to Minnesota from Portugal 🇵🇹👌
I found a used one on facebook for $500 plus accessories, hard case, and batteries. Going to pick it up. I had a Phantom 3 SE when I was a kid, but this will be my first nice drone! Thank you for the information, you made my decision for me.
Your video is informative and very useful, its also efficiently presented and all you need to do now is keep making more videos and improving them in where you see room for improvement, the editing of the video could be better and I think that's where you need to start, transitions/and light touches that give it some viewer friendly experience. Wish you the best.
I love my Mavic 2 Pro in 2024 as well! I'm considering getting a Smart Controller, but I'm not quite sure if it'll make sense to spend that kind of money on a drone this old! Any advice guys?
No it s not worth it.This was a very good and reliable drone till now.The big issue with this "Hasselblad" sensor is in video mode at night .Many-many dead pixels in 25,29 fps in HD , 2,7k,4k FOV .I ve changed 3 Pro2 and i have the same issue again. My advice is you can keep your money for the Air2S.Excellent photos and night mode 5,4 k, excellent performance better menu settings, Oc3.Better sensor smartest features digital zoom ×6...and smallest beast. The favorite drone for professionals who don t want to upgrade
Not sure about the other guy, I just got the smart controller from eBay and it let me fall back in love with my M2Pro Running a drone business with this setup, treats me well!
I bought mine many many years ago, rarely used in fact its in pristine condition. I do enjoy RC Hobby. However I am more in RC Plane as I'm a member of RC Club here in Sydney. I'm an old school RC modeler so I build my own Scale RC Jets, Planes and Heli. I bought this Drone for a simple reason of having something to fly leisurely, without having to worry too much in controlling the flying machine. And more important something that I can hover around on local secluded parks. In regards to this drone, still its an amazing technology and still has very, very good Video. And with automated flying management System that's still top notch by all other drone products standards. For new comer in RC Hobby this is good starting flying devices to learn the fundamental of Radio Control Airplane. Because it has high tolerances to newcomers mistakes. Thus the reason why it's such an expensive flying devices. I've seen many ads for "Easy" to operates RC Heli or Plane. But as someone whose been in the hobby for sometime now. I would suggest to spend you first cash, when it comes to real RC devices, on a DJI drone. As its designed for novice RC Pilots. I understand there are PC base flight simulator out there in the market. But nothing can replace real experience in operating an RC Models. The PC RC simulator is good for familiarizing yourself with the various flight control surfaces orientation. But not the same when operating RC Models or Drones on real open spaces weather effected environments. And the reason for this is, when operating in Virtual Environment you're fully aware of the reduce risk. And thus you become more complacent when operating the RC Devices. In the real environment, you know the risk is real thereby you'll be more careful knowing any mistake could be costly, embarrassing and likely fatal.
@@Techsumer This is my fourth drone and for some reason I had a brain fart...In the past the right wheel on the controller was set for pan left and right and the left up and down. When I used the controller that came with the drone it wasn't set up to do that reason i questioned the left right pan. I have to assign thet right bwheel to turn the drone left and right now correct?
Miguel, dude! Excellent video of you showing how to fly your drone. My guy, you speak unscripted. You speak to the camera and have proper eye contact with your audience You would be a great weatherman 😂. Great job and a beautiful backdrop. Bro! What were those sirens? Hoping no tsunami or nuclear activity. Stay safe! 😢😊
Weather man 😂😂 Those sirens are just for the firefighters. All of my videos are unscripted, I guess I prefer to make them this way… Thanks for the support!
So i own the Mavic 2 Zoom, I want better video quality. Should i change the gimbal/camera out to the Hasselblad/Pro camera or buy a Mini 3? I'm really torn between the two options!!
i went for the Hasselblad and have never been disappointed with the quality it's great. If only it came with zoom though! I didn't realise i could change the camera
@@Techsumer The Mavic Mini pro has amazing quality for a smaller sensor. I like it better and it cost half of what I paid for the Pro 2 with the RC with the screen. Plus you can do vertical shots.
But, in 2024 what is the category that you're able to use it? It's 906g (vendor) it is no C0, missing some features that came with new drones to identify the drone, etc.
I bought mine 2nd hand recently, about the remote if you use Samsung it works with S series, i have an A and the video connection is bad although you can fly it but hard to take pictures. Also why i have no sound on my video's?
my only problems is that mavic 2 doesn not support the rc smart controller, the controller has been a game changer to me personally, super easy to set up, literally powered on the drone and the controller and you are ready to go
What about remote id? I bought this drone right when it came out, passed my part 107. But since March 2024 it's essentially useless because the FAA requires remote ID, which the Mavic 2 Pro does not support.

Magnificent review, I was thinking of upgrading but no need, its a super device!
Yes it is! An amazing drone still in 2024

Your welcome! Take it easy and learn how to fly properly before doing anything crazy😅
Thanks for watching!
If it weren't for all the drone restrictions I would have one already... This one seems to be a pretty good value considering the age.
So true… they are too much to begin with…
The air 2s is better option you can get the C1 certificate from DJI for free
I just bought one today for GBP £350 with a flymore kit and hard case. Compared to the mini 4 pro I had this is a beast!
Yes! It’s so much faster and it can resist to wind better! The camera sensors are also bigger! Love this drone!
I appreciate 🙏🏽 this great review. I currently have this drone and haven't used it to it's full potential. Once again, thank you. Salute.
2025
Thank you for watching!
I needed to watch a review like this because I’m considering getting one soon.
That’s great! It’s still a very capable drone!

I agree. But overall he did a great job.
I still have my old one but it has not been updated for remote ID
I still have my Mavic Zoom and love it.

@@snagglemedia2552agreed. The smart controller makes the m2p a joy to use, and they're usually fairly cheap if you can find one.

👍👍✌️. I have a tripltek 8 inch tablet with a custom mount for my controller. With my pack sack stays together all the time.
Awesome review! You town is beautiful and with the quality of this drone, wow👌
Thanks a ton!
Thank You for the video! To pan left or right you have turn the drone correct, the camera gimble only pans up and down?
Yes, you are correct! Thanks for the support!
am I correct?
@markhexamer Yes. The gimble only pans up and down. To turn pan left or right you have to turn the drone

@markhexamer yes on the settings of the DJI GO 4 app you can do that. Mine is already set to it. Let me know if you need something more!

👍👍✌️. I still have and fly mine all the time. One of DJI’s best ….
Yes variable aperture is the best part about this drone. And now it’s cheap to replace ( I fly crazy all the time, and I crash every year or two)😅
That’s true! My god, you crash every year?😅

What's the best way or link to download the dji go 4 app
Website se direct apk download ho jayega..
Mine not linking with the controller after update assist
what do you use to control it?I can't find an app that works (absolute beginner)
DJI go 4 app
what app are you using to control the drone on your phone?
DJI Go 4 app
Great review as always!
I appreciate that
Always on point👌
Appreciate that
the drone has obsitcole avidense on the sides to right ?
Only on cinematic mode if I’m not mistaken
It also has APAS
my only problems is that mavic 2 doesn not support the rc smart controller, the controller has been a game changer to me personally, super easy to set up, literally powered on the drone and the controller and you are ready to go
You can get a smart controller for the Mavic 2.
I use my M2P with a smart controller. Not sure what you’re talking about…
for this Drone can shoot on Vertical ?
No it can’t. It’s just like the Mavic 3, you can only crop on the 16:9 image. What I recommend doing is filming in Full FOV and cropping on that.
Can you connect an iphone 15 pro max with this drone?
Yes you can! I use them together!
@@Techsumer Thank you
Which app is everyone using to fly this drone?
DJI GO 4
Thanks for watching!
Such a work horse!!!
For sure!!
You can get these very cheaply and barely used. Still beautiful image quality.
True!!
Had since 2019 and only used it less than 10 times lol
Nice drone footage you’ve got💪
Thanks 👍
I have one love it just a new bee
To this Dron is DJI Smart Controller
Just bought one for £300
Is there a legal issue with the mavic 2 ?
What type of legal problems are you referring too?
@Techsumer I don't know I saw a video that said the software that won't connect to the FAA or something. Sorry new to this
