Scooby was a lucky dog, hope she got a chance to train the new QC expert. Nice work as always, I am doing all my wiring right now on the double cab (doing a test fit the dash and everything), should have it up and running by the end of the weekend (with a external fuel tank), so I can use it for halloween. Your son coming up to you with the fossil reminds me of my son, they would get along very well.
Our (late) Goldy also looked evil when lying on his back, RIP to Ted & Scooby. Mrs. Demop should be delighted with work on her bug. Favorite dinner coming up?
Ah yes, brings back memories of my 56 Oval. I ended up peeling the fold back so I could remove the hinge panel/strengthener panel after making the weld repairs so I could remove the rust properly. Will just keep on rusting otherwise. PITA job as all the inside surfaces of these old cars are nothing but pure surface rust waiting to get worse ;)
@@DemopVWgarage man I wish my welder showed amps. It’s a Lincoln 140 Pro MiG. No matter how much I adjust the speed I just cannot find the sweet spot. As far as amps it just allows a,b,c and so on. It’s very frustrating and I tend to chase burn throughs even at the lower settings.
@@Doubleodudetry using thinner mig wire and matching tip. Makes it much easier to work on thinner metal plus reduces heat build up. I have no problems with my Lincoln which is similar to your model.
Liked the more detailed approach shown in this video Nic - good for us amateurs to follow. RIP Scooby.
It is so hard to put down a pet! My heart goes out to Oven Boy and RIP Scooby. Great work on that bonnet as you all call it your neck of the woods.

So tell us a little bit about your welder settings?
Yeh easy most of the time im right at 50 amps for old metal on to new metal. If its new on new then can go as high as 60. Using argon gas too.
