That’s great! About the relationship between STP and Portugal, one of the reasons it is so close is because, although there was an independence movement, it operated in Gabon, and there was never a serious armed conflict. And it is true that Portugal sends a lot of expertise to São Tomé, not only military. So many similarities with my home island of Réunion. Sao Tome is one of the countries that had diplomatic relations with Taiwan, received years of financial, technological, agricultural, and medical aids from Taiwan, but was bribed away by China with a single stroke of a pen. Nothing against the people, but the government is despicable.
The same bs happened to my country Dominican Republic, the corrupt only see their own gains, not the improvement of the people they are meant to serve, the government abandon a fellow democracy for a totalitarian regime known for their disdain for even the most basic human rights, being pathological liers, having a big propaganda machine to nearly the point of brainwashing and undermining every country they touch overtime with their debt traps, all just for money 😔😔😔.
Such a lovely video about Sao Tome, and you focus on a 5 second excerpt about their relations with Taiwan. China essentially did the same thing as Taiwan, paying for support through investments. Except China is much wealthier so it can offer more.
@@stefanking98 at least Taiwan don't forcefully make their own citizens disappear forever just because of some "problematic" comments on internet or deny the existence of the Covid-19 until it was far too late to control.
@@chingizzhylkybayev8575 I would rather make business with a micronation such as San Marino than see my country being seized of its ports and natural resources thx to a Chinese debt traps buddy
My country (Australia) is so heavily influenced by China its sad, I’m glad our prime minister is finally standing up but it’ll likely wreck our economy

A saudade apertou e me fez chorar.

Great video! Definitely a country I knew nothing about before the episode 👍
The more unknown a country is, the more interesting the facts are
1:20 "Do you want to wear my face on your sexy body?"
Hahaha... maybe, yes. 🤣
5:22 In Portuguese, "r" is always guttural at the beginning of words; "rr" is how we write this sound when it happens between vowels - e.g. "Guitarra" ([electric] guitar) would be pronounced roughly as "ghee-tah-hah". Your pronunciation is quite spot-on here.
Before this video, all I knew about Sao Tome and Principe was its flag and that they were a Portuguese colony.
I have never. Ever. EVER. Subscribed to a channel after just one video. Until now.
I stumbled upon this channel and am now hooked. I consider myself well-traveled, but had no idea about most of the content here.
I loved the humor, the category of topics to understand the place, and the large amount of pictures and video.
Ilhés das Rolas, São Tomé e Príncipe 🇸🇹:
having equator monument.
Pontianak, Indonesia 🇮🇩:
"Hmm... We should hang out sometimes"
May Macapá (Brazil) enjoy the party too?
C'mon ... we even have a football pitch divided by the equator line.
@@3dsaulgoodman43 Boy, I'm myself an Indonesian and tbh I just know about this.
@@Rogerioapsandrade Well, it's great tho. But c'mon, I'm talking about equator monument and I think Brazil have one too.
WOOOOOO!
@@3dsaulgoodman43 Nah pontianak is a malay word, we called it here Kuntilanak

Indeed he is
This video was particularly interesting to watch, as a half-capeverdean, half-saotomense, portuguese born person xDDD
Thank you guys for this video, I loved your work, it's amazing 🙏🙏🤩🤩
I am going on tourism to São Tomé e Príncipe and enjoyed your video. Thanks!

As a Pole, I can confirm that.
We need more of Keith, love him
Aw thanks Denis. If you want to see more of me Art and I got our own channel going here if you want to join us on this channel. 🙂 Rock on dude 🤟🏻 -Keith
I always thought the observation that confirmed Einstein's theory where made in Sobral (Brazil). Turns out that the same eclipse was indeed also observed in Príncipe.
Thank you for this video! Been fascinated with São Tomé é Príncipe for years and have learned Portuguese for when I can visit someday - It is my biggest dream to go there! 🤩🇸🇹
I’ve never heard of this country in my life! Thank you for this channel ♥️
As a native I must say that this video is very accurate! Great job!
18:03 every spanish speaker: DANZA KUDUROOOO
Brazilians have heard that song too: _Dança Kuduro_
22 minutes on a microstate ?
Remember when even large countries barely got 10 minutes ?
Me Neither the Vatican City episode will probably be an 1 hour long
@@smaviation9171 he seriously needs to remake the A&B.
The first actual quality Episode came with China, everything before that was very subpar.
Probably because Keith reads so slowly. Seriously, does he need eyeglasses?
Me Neither they should after they have completed all the countries remake the A and B countries also on Instagram barbs announced that once he had finished the latest country he will remake the “ Afghanistan “ episode
I think it's a fair trade-off for having to wait years to get an episode about your country.
The quality jumped with Noah's setup, nice camera
Love the graphics! The continuous improvement is remarkable! 👏 👏
Keith is always more baked than a batch of brownies 😂
can't stand the guy
@@FarfettilLejl i always skip his segment
I wonder how often Paul says something awkward in real life and then tries to change the subject by saying "anyway" mixing it with a hiccup or puking sound.
One of the funniest episodes in recent memory I have to say. Especially at 4:52 with nerd Barbs.
My only criticism of the video is that at 18:40 with Keith showcasing Bulawê music it would have been the greatest opportunity ever to say "Bulawê will... blow you away!" (hint: it rhymes). C'mon Keith it would have been so great!!!
We love you!
Keep up with the amazing work!❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing episode!
Love you bro I have been watching since Belgium
Paul: Takes break from RUclips because it is too stressful
Also Paul: Still uploads his videos at 2am

Hello, I'm from Sao Tome and I would like to say that this video is good, and I like it, despite some mistakes about the content.
