hey dude! great great great freaking video. is the chorus tabs actually 4 slide up to 9? because 11/12/13 sounds suuuper weird for me

      Hey there, thank you!!
He’s definitely ending on a G sharp minor shape. I played it at 11/12/13 on the bottom three, but in reality, he’s playing the same chord (G sharp minor shape) higher on the fretboard on lower strings. The full chord shape, top to bottom, would be 16 18 18 16 16 16. All he does is hit the G sharp minor chord shape an octave lower, and then slide it up an octave. So 4 6 6 4 4 4 slid up to 16 18 16 16 16. He’s targeting the four middle strings when he does this. So I play C sharp minor slid up to G sharp minor in the video. If I did it again, I would have used the approach I described. Look at :57 in this video:

Try that out and let me know what you think.

But just for clarity, the technical way it should be tabbed with a capo 2, is to say 9, but that 9=11 with a capo 2. Is that what you are saying.

@@Trad_Baylor since i'm not too technical on the guitar, i think i just had to work it thru my brain a bit. but yes, that makes it all make sense! thank you greatly dude, & thanks for the prompt response. you're the goat 🤝

Can I play this on an acoustic guitar? Or would it be better on electric?

I think it’s probably better on electric, just because that’s the “sound” of the song, but you can definitely play it on acoustic! I personally struggle to play it on my acoustic just because there are so many quick movements and the action is pretty high on my Taylor acoustic. So if you do play it on acoustic, maybe think about adapting the song slightly so it’s a bit easier to play? Just a thought. Let me know if you’d like me to try coming up with something.
