Klay 3 yrs 48 million. That’s a perfect contract for both parties.
1. Resign Klay for 18-23 mil a year. He’s a bench player now but we know what he can bring offensively when he’s hot (emphasis on WHEN he’s hot)
2. Trade Podz+Wiggins for Kyle kuzma and cap filler. Podz looks like a true vocal leader and he may be able to change the culture in Washington with Poole and Wiggins known to play better together.
3. Try to nab Tyus jones and Isaiah Hartenstein. You’re cutting it close to the apron but Tyus isn’t going for more than 18 and neither will I.Hartenstein.
4. Bench Dray for kuzma and allow him to work with Klay off the bench and create for him. Steph doesn’t need Draymond to score and Steph needs to adjust in his old age and facilitate more when needed. Also as true punishment for dray’s behavior costing the team these past two years.
5. Moody and Kuminga will start the sg and sf positions. They can defend at a high level (Kuminga when engaged) and have shown the ability to score on their own. Trust that they can make further strides in their development to help Steph next year.

Bench: jones-Klay-gp2-dray-Trayce/I.Hart
Looney can get minutes potentially but he should try to commit to a Mo Speights role to help space the floor off the bench if we can’t get Hart in FA.
You lost all credability when you said send Klay to the bench and acquire Kuzma for Pods and Wiggins. I'k all for trading those to but for Kuzma? Huh??? I mean...what??? NO.
@@affordthis why would that lose credibility? He’s been more effective on the bench and can’t do anything except shoot. He’s Miami ray Allen now.
Also, yes kuzma. He’s not our #2 but he’s a capable scorer on his own that would have a much easier time with the spacing created from Steph. If he can lock in guard 4s, they’d have a 6-10 two way player to bring length, athleticism, versatility. That’s everything the team needs while staying below the second apron, which is the first concern for management.
Moody and JK are both scorers and defenders that are ascending. TJD was a sabonis type playmaker in college and Hartenstein has shown playmaking ability in NY.
I don’t see the issue with this, so please elaborate your problem with it.

@@rayh3391 Im not the GM, but I’d guess since they were the worst team in the league this year that they’d want to move their older players. It’s best they fully start the rebuild collecting draft picks and young talented guys from other teams.
How the Warriors handle Klay Thompson will say everything about their intentions for the next couple of years, whether they want to win or play legacy ball.. Thompson has tipped the scales, he’s at the point in his career where he’s going to be shooting you out of more games than in. They will be nothing more than a one and done play in tournament team if they keep him

@@rockygroo8909 Wiggins was the most unmotivated player the league had and the Warriors won 1 title with him. PG13 motor is so much higher than Wiggins.

The most overrated player in NBA history is not Rudy Gobert. It's actually Allen Iverson. Iverson never won a championship, couldn't play defense and if he had put his time in as a player that cared, might have been a generational talent. Was he a prolific scorer? Yes. A highlight reel? Yes. But did his career live up to his prodigious talents? No.
