I don't believe it's possible to describe how literally impossible what you're hearing is. An inhuman amount of talent o0n this stage, and a joy to listen to. Thank you Berlin!
Some years ago, when the Berlin Phil had a series of concerts at Carnegie Hall, and the horn section consisted of Radek Baborák, Stefan Dohr, Norbert Hauptmann, Stefan de Leval Jezierski, Fergus McWilliam, Georg Schreckenberger, Klaus Wallendorf, and Sarah Willis (the same lineup as seen here), the horn section gave a free concert at St. John the Divine. To be able to sit just a few feet from these musicians and watch them play was such a special treat. Obviously, anyone in the Berlin Phil is going to be a superb player, but to see it up close and personal gives one an inkling of just how good these folks really are. One interesting thing was that as they were doing a bit of a warmup/rehearsal prior to the concert, they discovered that the acoustics in the transept were pretty tricky; the room was so live and the reverb so long that they actually had to alter their set list and try to avoid pieces with abrupt key changes. It didn't throw them at all, however. They performed brilliantly - and then went and played a concert at Carnegie Hall! (Probably something simple like Bruckner 8 or Ein Heldenleben. 😉) Bravo (and brava)!!!
Got excited when i saw credits for Radek Baborak and Sarah Willis. Some great playing and the set is really cool!
Stefan Dohr's glissandos at 3:46 to a top c are crazy
OMG, Sarah mega bass!
I have sung the Beethoven as a bass many times but also play the horn so this find was a complete joy! I am completely impressed by your musicianship and your accuracy. Bravo!
This level of horn playing shouldn’t even be possible. But we’re blessed that it apparently is!
amazing! perfect sound! Berlin Philharmonic horn ensemble is No1 horn ensemble in the world. excellent !
Marvelous......BRAVI TUTTI from Acapulco!
Egmont is my favourite :) power of chords :)
I just discovered horn ensemble today and I am just stunned. And the Berlin horns, wow. I just heard them play Bruckner chorales so in tune it is truly amazing. I want to hear them play Bach chorales. French horn sound is so amazing.
Thank you for sharing this full concert! Absolutely stunning!

I know it isn't a competition, but for me Radek will always be No. 1!
Moltes gràcies! Sobredosi trompística.😍
Why is radek so good 😭
Because😅
Practicing like crazy until he was an established professional
Radek is best horn player in history of horn playing...G.O.A.T

radek baborak should play 1st position instead of stefan.
needless to say, his skill is by far the best . Moreover, that unique atack and fluent phrasing don't suit 2nd position.
Baborak plays everything in the same style (more or less).
yes, his style, the best style
exactly, 21:26 emotions gets ruined when Stefan comes with his aggressive phrasing
I still like Stefan’s phrasing and at least he’s not copying radek’s.
@@baguettelord9741 I agree, Stefan's style is distinctive and unique.
ベルリンでも 曲がつまらなかったら 面白く無いんですね🎵
I enjoyed the Egmont more than some orchestral performance.Amazing virtuosity from this group. Thanks for the upload.
